I was born in 1964 but I liked the 60's for both television and music of that era and I was brought up in Oklahoma in the 70's with tv reruns of the television shows of the 60's and 70's as well as with music especially Rock n Roll were the best thing in the world those were the memories Thanks for showing this and bringing back the memories.🇺🇲📺📻📺📻🇺🇲
The 60s was different in many ways. In 69 when Sally (my neighbor) and I were 5, started putting a variety show for the neighborhood kids and ended up with a record company contract. We played in big concerts and performed with the Rolling Stone, The Who and The Doors It was a time were young people was about 40%. Sadly right after The Doors concert Sally's parents broke the contract. I am not sure if anything like that could happen to children today.
The 1960's was a centuries worth of events, changes, and you name it, rolled into a decades length. The Beatles were producing two albums and two singles per year for Capitol records --- who could ever do this again? The energy of the 60's was simply amazing. And look at the auto industry of say 1969 producing the sexiest cars ever! The beatniks thing, I think was winding down, though folk music was still popular. I was not living in the bid city however, so beatniks might still have been a thing. Do you recall slot car racing? The Frisbee was new, and skateboarding became a thing. Products were still made in America. President Kennedy, and our leaders gave speeches with meaning, and even used complete sentences. 🥴 There were not knifings and shooting in schools. The dollar was backed by metal. The income was enough, in most cases only one of the parents had to work. Having two parents, a male and a female, was pretty much the norm. Three channels on TV was enough, as they produced some decent entertainment. The Ed Sullivan show introduced amazing new stars. Real talented stars. No auto-tune for singers. Kids had the freedom to walk or ride a bike all over town, and visit friends on their own. Great comedians, and classy stars. You knew all the neighbors and could trust them with the keys to your home. No smartphones at the table as family gathered. You respected the elderly. I am rambling on... sorry. 🤓
Where I grew up one could feel the quiet comfort and security of the atmosphere. It definitely was a different place and time.Truly missed.

This did bring back memories. I remember some of the shows, go-go boots, drive-ins, A&W drive in ..which we went regularly down the street. 👍😁💚
I was born in 1961 and I really miss these times. Best times for a kid to grow up in, safer than today's sad world.
