සර්වඥ ධාතූන් වැඳ දෙව්ලොව ගිය සුජාත කුමාරයා |
කුසල් කිරීම යනු මනුෂ්‍යාත්ම භාවය ලැබූවකු මනුෂ්‍යයකු ලෙස ජීවත්වීම යි. යමෙකු දීමට දිගු කළ දෑත් නැත්තේ ද කය වචනය සංවර නැත්තේ ද සිත සංවර නැත්තේ ද බණ නො අසයි ද ආදි වශයෙන් වූ දස පුණ්‍ය ක්‍රියා නොකරන්නේ ද ඔවුහු මනුෂ්‍යකමට නොහොබී. බුදු දහමේ උත්තරීතර මනුෂ්‍ය ධර්ම ලෙස සඳහන් වනුයේ මාර්ග ඵල අට හා නිවන ලැබීමයි.
කුසලයෙන් ලැබෙන ආනිසංස පුණ්‍යඍද්ධි වශයෙන් ද විමාන වස්තු කථාවන්හි සඳහන් වේ. මෙහි සරල තේරුම ලෙස ගත හැක්කේ යමෙක් පින් කිරීම නිසා ලබන ආනිසංසයක් වේ ද ඒවා අදහාගත නොහැකි විස්මයජනකය.
To do meritoriousness is to live as a human being. If someone does not extend his hands to give, does not restrain his body from speaking, does not restrain his heart, does not listen to sermons, does not perform the ten virtues, etc., they disrespect humanity. In Buddhism, the highest human dharma is mentioned as the Eightfold Path and attaining Nirvana.
The virtues derived from merit are also mentioned in Vimana Vastu stories. It can be taken as a simple meaning, but they are unbelievably amazing.
