Hey, this is my main ringtone for almost 3 years! An ode to imagination: "Imagine music, dance, illusion..." Debbie, another morning coffee listening to your reaction to Nightwish. It creates addiction, you know 🖤
This is like a mini musical, and ode to art, creativity, life without art would not be life. Now with your new headphones just listen to the lyricvideo Shoemaker, it will blow your mind. Lovely reaction, how can one not love you 😍
Hi Queen! I love that thingy on your head, like a tilted ponytail? Lol well, as for the song (this is while I'm watching the intro) I dont know if you'll be able to handle Pan 😂 sinces is a itty bitty INTENSE and one of mi very favourites! PS: I'm almost glad they didn't put Pan in their Setlist because even though Floor says Shoemaker is HN's "tongue twister", for me, this is the one lol I can only follow the melody, but singing along with her? Impossible for me xD
If I had to choose a favourite Nightwish track as my favourite, it would be Pan. That said, we all know that our favourite Nightwish track is always the one you happen to be listening to at time of asking! Thanks again Debbie, it’s always a treat to watch you.
One of my favourite Nightwish songs :) Brilliant reaction; your comments made me laugh out loud a few times! And funny thing; when you started breathing, it made me realise that I too hadn't been breathing all that much 😂 😂 Keep being you! ♥
I just got to the end of the video where you say about needing to listen To Ghost Love Score again, with headphones; and yes, you do! :) In addition to that I suggest giving a listen to the studio/album version of the songs (that you've already done live) too - I heard all the live versions first and noticed there's some extra/easier things to hear on the studio versions sometimes! :)
those headphones makes nightwish music next level. when tuomas composed genius music floating in head :) thanx to great reaction like always. have great day.
"ANC" stands for Active Noise Cancelling. It cuts out annoying background noise, for instance like airplane engines while you are on flight. In this song Kai's drumming is just unrelenting and phenomenal.
ANC is useful for somethings but definitely DOES affect the quality of the sound, and not for the better. Only really useful when listening in noisy environments.
@@gregjetnikoff7124 correct. It works by processing the external sounds and inverts them in the inside of the headphone. Basically it’s like the headphone is balancing the pH by adding baking soda to the mix because the outside noise was too acidic. You are spot on that if your surroundings aren’t noisy then the ANC will have a net negative impact on audio quality. But if it is noisy then it would have very huge positive impact. This album is a masterpiece you will love listening to the rest of it with your new headphones every track is awesome , the studio version of Shoemaker will blow your mind😊
This is one of the songs where Tuomas experimented with new aspects of Floor as an instrument. Studio versions have in general more musical complexity while live there is more emotional depth. Pan refers to the greek god.
From their most recent album, Human :||: Nature, one of most interesting and unusual tracks. The entire album is somewhat a departure from their typical songs, but at the same time it’s unmistakable Nightwish. Only Tuomas and this amazing band can achieve something like that. It’s a double album, first half is dedicated to Humans and different aspects of our species. Second half is entirely instrumental and dedicated to nature. The human voice is present, but only to contemplate „all the works of nature that adorn the world „. Truly the entire album is a masterpiece, musically, technically, emotionally and intellectually. There are not many artists around these days capable of such a wonderful piece of art.
Hello dear Nightwish fan, we army love you. This song is from album Human II Nature number 5. Keep going reacting Nightwish, your reactions are so lovely 🤘❤
:D so nice to see you are so happy :D it is contagious and it spreads :D more happy faces to the people! The best part of you getting the new headphones is that you will get a totally new Nightwish experience, and we will get to see you do that, YEAY! :D and you just have to do all the songs again :) yeay!
Those headphones will allow you to hear every little sound. It sounded great for us as well. The latest record does have a little bit of a new sound. Still Nightwish, but every song on the Human :II: Nature record is based around an aspect of our own human nature and how affects of perception of the world around us and our place in it.
These headphones are just what you needed. I will give you a hint to the album Human Nature. Nightwish made some short intros to the different songs, explaining them... Well we all knows Troy 🙄😂 - but these are good to understand the lyrics Just search for instance 'Procession countdown' on YT - and then most of them are there. All around 1 minute of explaning. It won't take anything from the reaction. 👍
Great one for your new headphones! This whole album is amazing! This one is not done live sadly. But I would request you watch all the lyric videos to this album. Tribal and Noise might make your heart explode.... I love Pan especially working out.
@Lisa Brault Yes, you're right Lisa, as far as I'm aware they don't do Pan live, although they did do it once on the second of the Virtual World shows at the Islanders Arms during the pandemic lockdown and absolutely nailed it! th-cam.com/video/dpryeKpDXpo/w-d-xo.html
Music, Noise, Shoemaker, Pan and how"s the heart O man I love this album...the music the lyrics Tuomas is a genius composer thanks❤ Debbie, and yes with good headphones it sounds the best...greets from the Netherlands
Hey Debbie, ANC is Active Noise Cancellation. When it's on it blocks outside noises to make the audio clearer. Your audio sounds awesome. I love your reactions to Nightwish. Yes, the crowd does go wild. I know I do. 🥰
You are crazy in the nicest way😀 great reaction. I'm a night owl don't sleep till five in the morning, so I tuck up in bed and come on you tube before I read. Active noise cancelling is the best thing ever I can listen to music without the backing track of my hubby snoring😀🇬🇧
This song, and indeed, the newest album, is rather different. Tuomas tipped his hat to each band member, dedicating elements to each members particular talent/life/interest. There are a series of short interview clips from 2019, prior to the release of Human:ll:Nature, where each band member chats about a particular song. It makes the music a little more personal. Headphones are great, I hope you are also going to do "side B" or the second CD of the album. It is mainly orchestral but is also excellent, especially when you watch the fan created video that accompanies it. Thanksagain Deb, and REMEMBER TO BREATHE!
When the album was released, almost exactly 3 years ago, this was my favorite song off of it, together with Tribal (these days I like Endlessness a little bit more). Unfortunately AFAIK this was never played live. At least it wasn't at any of the 3 shows I went to.
Yay! More Nightwish! They actually only did one real video for the album (Noise)...the rest are all lyric videos. I was hoping they would have done more videos for the Human Nature album but c'est la vie. Noise was done really well, with the band members actually appearing in the video unlike some bands who have actors playing the characters. I love the riffs and drums in this song...quite heavy for NW. And Floor sounds fantastic like usual. ANC is "active noise cancellation"...they block out any background noise so that all you hear is the music coming from the speakers. Speaking of "balls to the wall"...please do the Accept song, Balls To The Wall...a heavy metal classic! th-cam.com/video/B_3TlrZLpQ0/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
@@thequestionqueens A word of warning...Udo has a pretty unique "rough" sound to his vocals (not growls though...you'll see what I mean when you eventually get to this song). A lot of people don't like his singing...but I do! He's no Rob Halford, Dio or Bruce Dickinson, but is still great IMO. Cheers!
Dont forget to breathe Debbie….great video again, NC is for noise cancelling, especially great when you are in a plane but at home not really neccessary
Yay, Debbie got her headphones. Now, one day, whenever you get to it, you can do 'The Greatest Show on Earth' in Tampere, and it will be so much better.
@@thequestionqueens Great!! Good wireless headphones can make such a difference, because they put you right in the middle of the music. And when not reacting, you can walk around the house and do stuff like do laundry, LOL.
I heard its in reference to the Greek Deity Pan and the Minotaur's Labyrinth as well as how forests can be labyrinth like (how one can get lost in the woods)
DD, I am so glad you have the over ear headphones as they will add to the pleasure of your experience. On another note, you have the most gorgeous head of hair !! Love you and your channel !! Tuomas really set the bar high for Floor, and of course she rose to the challenge. Nightwish is totally unique, they are a true gift to us all !! 😊😊🤗🤗❤❤
I'd say that ANC = Automatic Noise Cancellation to suppress ambient noise. P.S. Did you notice the dominoes with 1, 5, 6 and 4 dots in them- which is the chord progression in many popular songs, especially in pop songs.
This is what Nightwish has grown into, it caused a lot of disruption amongst the fans, but after a few more listens, it won people over. Laptop speakers, earphones, to headphones, go back.
The best quality headphones will have NO buttons and be directly wired, not wireless. Both, any extra electronics, and wireless transmission and conversion, affect the sound quality.
Hiya. So pleased you're into the lyric videos now, as well. I love Pan (Southern word of the day - Pay-yan), but it's very difficult to pick just one favourite off this album. The foklore is true - your favourite Nightwish song is the next one you hear - even if you've heard it before! Can't wait for your GLS reprise. Stay safe. All the best to you.
Usually there is Owners Manual in the package. Everything should be explained in that. Yes, do listen GLS with new headphones, I think you find new things there! Thanks!
ANC supresses outside noises. If you turn it off, you might hear your voice better. But these seem to be headphones with a closed design, so they will dampen your voice anyway. Check if you can activate something called "Transparent mode" or "Talk Thru". Maybe in the App. If available that would mix your voice into the audio and you could hear yourself talk. The Sound that we hear is fine. The headphones do not influence it. (You know that you can watch your own video to find out how it sounds? 😉)
Good headphones are a must with NW. One thing about their live performances, they tend to turn down the backing track in the mix a little bit. The Greatest Show on Earth has some moments on the studio version with sub audible bass that shake you to the core (with a good surround sound system), but comes off muddy and a lot more tame live.
There is a channel that mixes their live version with their studio versions. Its like getting best of both worlds because you're right some the back track is vague in the live versions.
@@thequestionqueens for the most part stick to the live versions because NW on stage adds a lot to the initial reaction. As for the Greatest Show on Earth, Tampere I think is the better over all perfomance, but the Wembly version (performed a couple songs after Poet) has a special guest in the end.
@@SRMWorkshop Especially the studio version of The Greatest Show on Earth helped me to pick up more from the evolution of music part than the live ones.
Great Track from a Great Album .....those riffs remind me of Old Testament......heres a link to a live version in The Virtual World ....i think its the only time they did it live . th-cam.com/video/KbhQZVYND6o/w-d-xo.html And a HELL YEA to GHOST LOVE SCORE
Maybe you might remember Carl Sagan who coined the term Pale Blue Dot, when the Voyager probe turned the camera to Earth. Thus the Pale Blue Theater in the lyrics.
Nightwish - “Pan” Virtual World Live th-cam.com/video/KbhQZVYND6o/w-d-xo.html, that is the only time I saw them do it live but it was good. It is one of those songs that never took off on the setlist, but I love the song. Emppu and Tuomas get down on this one. Thank you for the reaction and Balls to the Wall is a technical term I have used for years also.
Hahahaaaaaa.... Balls to the wall. Vocal coaches: "That's what they all say." By the way the line 'Tir na nOg' is from the Celtic myths of the 'Land of the Young'. Thus, the song title 'Pan' does refer to the mythical land that Tuomas has written about before - Peter Pan's Neverland. Also, your headphones have no effect for us ... other than that great smile on your face!! Love ya!
ANC: Active Noice Cancelling. it’s reduces noice from outside the headphones so you can focus yourself (more) on the music. It ensures that you hear the ambient noise less (or not at all). Noise canceling headphones therefore provide a perfect music experience. So if it is already quiet in your recording studio you can switch it off. If not switch it on.
This album is very different from their earlier albums. It is complex and pulls you deep into the sound. The second CD of this album is stunning. It is 31 minutes long, so a little too long for a reaction, but you will love the sound. It's called All The Works Of Nature Which Adorn The World. Watch the video created by a channel called Painted World of Ash. They created a magnificent video to go with the music.
@The Question Queens: Hey Debbie! As always, breathe, lol. I don't want to see you hyperventilating on video. That would be bad, lol. But anyways. You just heard what I consider to be the most technical of Nightwish's songs. And what I mean when I say "technical," is technical from the perspective of classical rhythm. Here, you hear at least two contradictions: The "light" with Floor's vocals, and then the "dark" with the drums and Marko's bass. The second contradiction is hearing both staccato notes (very short notes) at the same time as a long, flowing strings melody line. However, listen to some of the great music masters of old: Beethoven. Bach. Mozart. Tschaikovsky. Chopin. Tuomas uses all of their various collected works as inspiration for this song, and many of the musical lines, melody and otherwise, draw off of their work. He even uses some of the more modern masters, like Hans Zimmer or John Williams (Williams wrote the score for Star Wars). You hear some parts of the theme from Pirates of the Caribbean even. Point is, when I call Tuomas the "Metal Mozart," it's not just because he's a great composer. I call him that because I truly believe he is at their level, making music that is worthy of the same praise that even now, students of music give those historical masters, like art students give to art masters like da Vinci and Rembrandt. Tuomas is a musical master, the "Metal Mozart," and he shows tremendous technical skills with Pan. This is why Floor calls Human :||: Nature one of the most difficult albums she has ever sung in, because of the technical challenges that Tuomas presented her with. That being said, you said this sounds weird, and it is -- when you consider the lyrics of, "Then, something wicked their way came", which is an allusion to the book "Something Wicked This Way Comes," which is a book with the warning of, "Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it." The other allusion in this song video is Alice in Wonderland, specifically the second half of that story, Through the Looking Glass, which has many alliterations to, and characters based off of, cards and game pieces. In the story, Alice is a pawn in a chess game, while she meets a character called "The Queen of Hearts," which Lewis Carroll used the playing card Queen of Hearts as the basis for the character in the book. It's why you see all of the game pieces in the video.
For me, this song is kind of Storytime Part 2. The song is about human creativity and imagination. The song lyrics have a lot of homages to the works of authors, filmmakers and other artists ... Someone once made a list of what all is quoted or considered .... The list was very long and the person wasn't even sure if he really found everything.
Oh my record player is having an issue so i cant listen to this album on Vinyl at the moment 😥 but i love Tribal from that. You should check out that lyric video also
Always wild for your reactions! Pan - as is in the old God/Satyr/Faun of the woods - root source of Pan-ic and Pan-demonium! (the last was one of my (n)icknames!) LOL! The hairy-legged goat-guy with the pan-pipes! ;) Tir Na Nog - The name is derived from Tír na nÓg, one of the Otherworlds of Irish mythology. Tuomas has read A LOT - or maybe he heard this from Troy? A bit of Gilbert & Sullivan in the fast part with the choir? Not a favourite but musically awesome. Looking forward to GLS again!
Human Nature (the 2020 album this song is from) does have a little different feel than some of their older songs, but i really like it. I think Floor has said that their next album (coming in 2024) is going to be heavier.
This album was rather breakthrough for them, but there are a few earlier songs where you can hear a teeny bit of a hint. Wishmaster, maybe a little bit of Ghost River and I kinda feel this is somewhat of a part 2 of Storytime, while not being related proper, though I'm sure there are more. I caught the Once album a lot in the comments when this came out . That's the album Ghost Love Score was on, and yeah I can see where they'd get that. Planet Hell starts with a choir and orchestral intro. :)
The sound was on point. Sounded great! This was only the 2nd time I've heard this song. Excellent Reaction! Thanks :D On a side note, I don't know if this song is on your Nightwish list to react to. It's a great song and I know you'll do it justice. Song and link: Nightwish - "Weak Fantasy" (Live in Tampere 2015) th-cam.com/video/5uRLDmU-Kp8/w-d-xo.html
My wife says that I breath heavy when I have my headphones on. Not sure why. Perhaps it is because I'm often listening to Nightwish or watching someone else listen.😁
You might be better off turning ANC off - if you want to hear what's going on around you - you should have another option 'Ambient Sound' which helps cyclists for example to hear everything around them if listening to music such as car horns etc. ANC uses more battery - my particular ANC earbuds were a godsend on a 10 hour flight a couple of months ago when I was surrounded by crying babies - mine cut out around 45 decibels of outside noise. Got nothing to say about the song - it's Nightwish!! Enough said. 😃
I have a simpler set of JBL headphones, but they're indeed fine. What I do dislike about JBL (I have headphones and a BT speaker) is their obnoxiously loud opening and shutdown sound bits, there is really no need for that. Also they cut out the entire music stream whenever the battery-low signal comes in. Other than that, they're good value for money.
Near all songs of this album are in that quality! Some of them are more Troy (f.i. Harvest) or Kai (f.i. Tribal), but all are Floor-songs, excempt Endlessness. This is a Marko-song. Maybe they don't Play it live, because only Marko can sing this Like him.
The sound is very good with the headphones👍 This whole album is amazing but then again all Nightwish albums are awesome! Noise is probably my favorite it has a great meaning and the video is fantastic! Oh and I am now a proud member of the Patreon family😊

Balla to the wall - that might be my new favorite description of this. I freaking love this song.
Sounds great
💙
Omg there’s a song called that 😂😂😂 I saved the link 💙❤️😎
@@thequestionqueens A word of warning...Udo has a pretty unique "rough" sound to his vocals (not growls though...you'll see what I mean when you eventually get to this song). A lot of people don't like his singing...but I do! He's no Rob Halford, Dio or Bruce Dickinson, but is still great IMO. Cheers!
Ahhj Balls to the walls is fantastic 😍
@@thequestionqueens Make sure to turn off "Noise Cancelling" when reacting to it! ;-)
Dont forget to breathe Debbie….great video again, NC is for noise cancelling, especially great when you are in a plane but at home not really neccessary
This IS a wicked song! 😄 It always makes my heart race like I just had lots of coffee 😂 And I don't even have a heart condition, so well done! 😆❤️
I loved it. I’m really glad I survived it 😂❤️🥰
@@thequestionqueens 🤣❤️
Yay, Debbie got her headphones. Now, one day, whenever you get to it, you can do 'The Greatest Show on Earth' in Tampere, and it will be so much better.
I’m ready!!!
@@thequestionqueens Great!! Good wireless headphones can make such a difference, because they put you right in the middle of the music. And when not reacting, you can walk around the house and do stuff like do laundry, LOL.
My favourite song from Human|Nature... alongside with Shoemaker.
Amazing music... simply as that
Pan is my favourite song from the Human Nature album its a technical and heavy track. Good headphones are always a bonus.
Sound is always better with headphones, a good pair, that is
.. :) Breathe!
💙
Pan is Emppu's favorite off this album
It's Pancake....lol
@@FromG2eminor lol... right°!!
Balls to the wall Debbie😂😂. You go girl!
😂😂😂😂
I cracked up after rewatching this…like I asked if it was okay to say that?! Like who was gonna answer 😂
It is Nightwish, but also new. That is what makes them so interesting. You maybe need to get used to it.... But it is so great again.
😊😊🤗🤗❤❤
💙💙💙💙💙
Sounds good to me
Tir ma nÖg = land of the young. A mystical place of the coast of Ireland.
Happy St. Patrick’s day
I'd say that ANC = Automatic Noise Cancellation to suppress ambient noise.
🤗🍒🤘🏻😘
YES PLEASE!!! Ghost Love Score with headphones reaction!!!! Love from Guatemala 🇬🇹❤️
I can’t wait to do that again with the new headphones 💙💙💙💙
And breath, great reaction. Congrats on the new headphones.
ANC = active noise cancellation. Give it a try. Should block out external noise.
She wants to be able to hear herself talk while listening to the playback of the band - so set it to 'off'.
You look very nice, and professional too in your new headphones.
Tuomas always takes us on a journey. It's so great!
💙
Usually there is Owners Manual in the package. Everything should be explained in that. Yes, do listen GLS with new headphones, I think you find new things there! Thanks!
They just had that diagram. Maybe there was another book. I’ll check! Thank you 😂
Pan, was a Greek god of nature. He had the body of a human with the legs of a goat. He also had goat horns.
So the sound is great.
This song is a showcase of Tuomas’s ‘one of a kind’ compositional skill. Remarkable.
So I should basically do both!!! More is better when it comes to Nightwish 💙
🤩👍💥💯🎼
🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙
Great Track from a Great Album .....those riffs remind me of Old Testament......heres a link to a live version in The Virtual World ....i think its the only time they did it live .
th-cam.com/video/KbhQZVYND6o/w-d-xo.html
And a HELL YEA to GHOST LOVE SCORE
Saved it! Thank you 💙
Debbie; you are my favorite "real-reactor"...amazing new headphones; you look "more professional, JaJaJa!!! Greetings from Argentina!!!
YAY!!! Every little bit helps 😂 💙🥰
Vocal coaches: "That's what they all say."
By the way the line 'Tir na nOg' is from the Celtic myths of the 'Land of the Young'.
Active noise cancellation it will drown out sound digitally. Great for loud plane rides.

Hi Debbie FYI Tuomas has the next album already written and the rest of the band has heard them.
The sound was on point. Sounded great! This was only the 2nd time I've heard this song. Excellent Reaction! Thanks :D On a side note, I don't know if this song is on your Nightwish list to react to. It's a great song and I know you'll do it justice. Song and link: Nightwish - "Weak Fantasy" (Live in Tampere 2015)

🇬🇧 Norfolk starting my day with Nightwish let’s do this 😊
Balls to the walls 😂😂
Pan is the son of Hermes and Penelope griek gods !
ANC might mean automatic noise cancellation.
It is...I have the exact headphones and they are great!
My wife says that I breath heavy when I have my headphones on. Not sure why. Perhaps it is because I'm often listening to Nightwish or watching someone else listen.😁
Pan is a greek god Flute playing goat man a form of Satyr also greek. The ability to charm you with music.
Ohhh! So that’s why I couldn’t hear me lol
OMG you are going to experience a WHOLE other level whe you re-listen to GLS !
Can’t wait!!!
ANC? Active Noise Cancellation?
And here's the good stuff:
You need to listen all NW again, with headphones 🤩
💙
Wait till you get to disc 2, it'll blow your mind.....
