It was time to come back!!!!!!!!!!!! we were missing you. Especially Lanternlight is awaiting you, all songs are great...IMO. Floors dynamics capabilities are out of this world. This live - a real banger.
I have missed seeing you two react to Nightwish! Lanternlight is next I hope. If you have ever lost someone dear, or you think about those you may one day leave behind then it will hit you hard. If Yesterwynde completes the album trilogy then for me Lanternlight follows from Our Decades In The Sun and How's The Heart.
Tuomas dedicated some lines to Marko Hietala, who left the band as you know: "You who glow In deepest woe Let it be, retiree, the water's fine Sail carefree"
This whole album is a masterpiece. The lyrics..the vocals..the songs...the mixing. Some people did not understand the mixing and that is just sad for them. Keep them coming from this album and feel how everything is connected. It's amazing. Thank you guys. Cheers from a finn in Sweden.❤🎉
One of the Best Songs Tuomas has ever blessed us with That 2nd SAIL and SEEK chorus gets me every time ......those Lyrics with Floor's incredible instrument is just perfection .
The excitement on your faces when you quickly realised "oh yeah, this ones a banger". For me it's their best song since Greatest Show. I like that you mentioned Kai, because his drumming is utterly insane on this. Shout out to Jukka Koskinen's bass..... which has no business being as downright filthy good as it is
My neighbour likes singing along with gospels very loud, sometimes for hours. He knows this song as well by now, and Weak Fantasy and Tribal of course 🤭😂
Tuomas said this song is about people you meet throughout your life. Each person is an island. Yes, that was Troy at the end playing the Uilleann pipes. This ended up being the 3rd single, of 4, from Yesterwynde. Longest song on the record. Think it was a bonus release, so only a lyric video, the other 3 have mv's. "The Day Of..." and the ballad "Lanternlight" are the 2 you haven't listened to yet. The album released in September, my favorites of the non singles are "The Antikythera Mechanism" and "The Children of 'Ata".
Wow....I have been waiting for you both to react to this epic piece of music. I enjoyed it so much watching you go on this journey and reach the harbour safely. I am goung to watch it again!! Right now! Thank you!! ❤
Thank you for your reaction! This song is good the first time, but it even gets better and better the more you hear it!❤ You will love Lanternlight too!
Music is the sound of emotions. Tuomas understands this, Floor (and Nightwish) personify this - perfectly!! All the very best from the Canberra Regiment, Australian Division, Nightwish Army.
Every time I listen to the "YesterWynde" CD, I always feel a large array of emotions from their music. I have also gone back to listen to my other Nightwish CD's...and found that I missed what some of the songs actually meant! Tuomas Holopainen puts a lot of himself into his music...and he wants us to go down a path that will help us to become better humans. Thank you for such an excellent explanation of how you both felt about this song!
The album is utterly amazing, possibly their best ever - maybe react to Lanternlight next, Tuomas wrote it for his Father following his passing in 2021, it's a tribute to and a celebration of those who came before us, those who lit the way for us. Personally I think it might be the most beautiful song I've ever heard 🤘
Thanks for sharing your detailed reaction/analysis to a song that for me explores themes of solitude, self-discovery, and the existential journey through life's trials. The imagery of the ocean, islands, and mariners reflects a metaphorical exploration of the human experience connecting with other individuals. The song captures the essence of navigating life’s uncertainties and finding one's place in a vast, often unwelcoming world. It suggests a longing for connection and understanding while grappling with the weight of past experiences and the isolation they can bring. P.S. Butterflies represent transformation on all levels, claims ecotherapist Anna Cariad-Barrett: "Butterflies show us how we can go within ourselves to dissolve old forms and morph, rebuilding and evolving ourselves," she explains, noting that they show us the importance of surrender and trust "as part of the essential process of growth and renewal." Floor recorded her vocals after just 6 weeks after having given birth to her 2nd daughter. In an interview with Charismatic Voice she told that it was painful to stand behind the microphone.
Well, Dominika is (sort of) right about Tumoas writing with Floor in mind. He even said once that if she leaves that'll be the end of the band. Thing is I wouldn't call it writing with her in mind. I would rather call it 'thanks to her he can just simply write what he's got in mind and don't even think about whether the lead singer can do it, or not'.
Yes, like others have stated: "Lanternlight" is a Must! Last on the Album, Quite possibly the most beautiful song ever from Nightwish. Tuomas's tribute, love, and best wishes for his Father's passing as he embarks on his journey into Nature and the Universe.
Another great track from this album. Every track a masterpiece on this one. Always waiting for Lanternlight at the end, of course Two weeks were allowed for Floor to do her vocals and 6 weeks (IIRC) after giving birth, she completed the whole album's lyrics in 6 days. It's not just the amazing drums - Troy's Pipes are gorgeous and Emppu really gets to let himself go.
Love this musical journey ❤❤❤ After Lanterlight, for me the best track on the new album! Great concert opener or closer 😁 Would be awesome live with a full orchestra and choir❣️
Themes running through Nightwish album Yesterwynde - the journey of life, timeless, petrichor (which ties in with the imagery in this lyric video too - butterflies are reborn from caterpillars, emerge from their cocoons, fly all over feasting on nectar but can feast on the world’s decay too! But wear does the butterfly go when it rains? Butterflies don’t venture out into wild oceans & storms either. Things change along the journey. Then, after the storms have passed, and land is approaching, the birds can be seen flying, all is calm again on the journey. Seeking a “star bound quay”. **** - “Sail and seek The starbound quay Calling you, calling me To be a part of your story” ***** During interviews for this album release Tuomas spoke of a blissful evening on a boat, in a tranquil quay staring up at a star filled sky - he said it was the most peaceful & beautiful experience he has ever encountered. There are so many Easter Eggs linking music, lyrics and themes from previous songs, albums, videos & interviews it is incredible! Even the albums cover image - the boat, swirling / the clock. 👏 All of the Singles released so far paint the picture / tell the story. The Weave is another gem on the album. For me the pinnacle is Lantern Light - So beautiful. 🤍 (The last song on this album & The Triology of the last 3 albums). Listen to this album from beginning to end in order of the track listing. (600 music tracks have been mixed). What an epic listening journey & life journey!
"Friends, who were for a time / Now grapes of sour wine / Lords of a single fly / Still, I rue no island of shared solitude" are probably my favourite lines from the entire album... And there are a lot of good ones in there!
Tuomas took some leftovers from the previous 9 albums, put them all in one song, and threw some pepper over it,there you have it, the best Nightwish song in years!
'Friends, who were for a time, now grapes of sour wine, lord of a single fly' & 'you who glow in deepest woe, let it be, retiree, the waters calm sail carefree' - any thoughts on what recently departed Bassist that could be referencing?
This is a great Nightwish song, which engendered an appropriate reaction in the two of you. I can't wait to see you do a reaction to the video of Lanternlight from the same album. The whole album is great, but, dear me, Lanternlight will certainly elicit a reaction.
Hi guys, Tuomas knows very well that Floor is the only one who can sing his music. And I am almost believing she coming from an other planet. Nice to see you back btw.
Always Lovely reaction , can't imagine if they perform live !! not only this song it's like energy from the whole year just release out in 1 hr , but This song I really hope Tuomas can do longer version extended more than 60 minute
From the hard guitar, straight to the pipes, Tuomas did that on purpose, just for the effect. It’s great! Kind of like riding in a care on a hilly road. Up and down with that feeling in your stomach.🎸🤘
It's truly a masterpiece of an album. You can do songs without an actual video. The stories are truly inspiring. You should really check out the antykity mechanism and the children of Ata for amazing storytelling.
Great reaction and now for something completely different. It's still Nightwish, but then it's Tuomas once again wowing us with a different sound. It's mostly Floor singing and Tuomas on the piano with a few other instruments coming and going. His Father's death was the inspiration and Tuomas says it's not a sad song, but rather a love song for those loved ones who have gone on before us. Floor said it took several takes to get through it because it made her very emotional. In fact, in one frame at the end you can see a tear. It is, of course, the song many have already requested. Welcome back guys! Yesterwynde is an album you need to listen to all the way through start to finish. Ideally reacting to each track as you go along of course. I'm sure you'll agree the album is a masterpiece.
Not a good Time to pause, at 8:18😉I really missed your Nightwish Reactions. The last Album Human Nature was fantastic but the new Album Yesterwynde is unbelievable, you have to listen to this Masterpiece. Next Lanternlight Please 🙏

"You who glove in deepest woe, let it be retiree, the waters tine sail carefree", somebody said that this words Tuomas Holopainen wrote to Marko Hietala. It can be true I think.
I've been looking forward to you guys reacting to the new album! There are some awesome throughout the whole thing. Hope you check them all out on here!
I dont like the new nightwish. I am so disappointed, when it comes to the last albums. They have Floor (she can do everything) but for me this has nothing to do with real metal anymore. But if there are still many fans and they do like it. Ok. Fair enough. I think the loss of marco is too big.😢
So you came onto a reaction to a "new Nightwish" song? Just to say you don’t like new Nightwish? Bands have to evolve and they have done exactly that. Maybe you should just stick to "old Nightwish" songs then.
It was time to come back!!!!!!!!!!!! we were missing you. Especially Lanternlight is awaiting you, all songs are great...IMO. Floors dynamics capabilities are out of this world. This live - a real banger.
oh they will love Lanternlight❤❤❤❤❤
Lanternlight will be a special one! 💟
Lanternlight will bring you to tears (happy)
It sure brings me to tears.
For me this is a symphonic prog metal Masterpiece! 😎🤘
A classic Nightwish journey my friends. You said it Andrei. Nightwish is emotions. You found your safe harbor.
Great reaction as always💗💗
And now Lanternlight...bring out the tears.
Tuomas dedicated some lines to Marko Hietala, who left the band as you know:
"You who glow
In deepest woe
Let it be, retiree, the water's fine
Sail carefree"
And a very fine tribute it is too.
everytime i hear this it gets better and better. Nightwish at his best.🤟🏻🤟🏻
They are truly at their best when performing live. 😊

And to really give Floor credit where credit is due, she did this about 6 weeks after giving birth. She is an amazing woman!

Great reaction!!! I CRY EVERYTIME on Troy's pipes... it's unreal. Ionut from Timisoara reporting for the NW Army World Wide!!!!
please do lanternlight from nightwish when you have time. it will bring you to tears. its one of the best ballads of all time
This is a classic NW banger. I love it. Not sure if my neighbor does, but she definitely knows the song 😅😅

What I love in Nightwish is that even in the very heaviest parts of the music, it is very melodic and full of harmonies.
This song grows and grows, listen to it many times, and now i cry like a baby when i hear it,so beautiful ❤️❤️
So glad you returned to Nightwish. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
This is by far the best Nightwish album yet.
Right. These are only songs from the album. The Album is masterpiece.
I concur
Wow....I have been waiting for you both to react to this epic piece of music. I enjoyed it so much watching you go on this journey and reach the harbour safely. I am goung to watch it again!! Right now! Thank you!! ❤
Finally Nightwish 🤘
There seems to be no limits to Tuomas' creativity.
This music is a journey of Self-Discovery. Everything is integral and simply amazing.
Thank you for your reaction! This song is good the first time, but it even gets better and better the more you hear it!❤ You will love Lanternlight too!

you really have to do the whole album on this channel, they exposed all of them on their YT channel. its maybe the best album they ever created

I am happy to see you use wired headphones and not bluetooth. Much better sound reproduction.
I've been looking forward to you guys reacting to the new album! There are some awesome throughout the whole thing. Hope you check them all out on here!
You should check out lantern light off the new Nightwish album. It is absolutely beautiful.
Knowing how much you enjoy emotional Floor your next reaction should be Lanternlight.

Please do the entire album. You will not regret!!
Lanternlight next
I dont like the new nightwish. I am so disappointed, when it comes to the last albums. They have Floor (she can do everything) but for me this has nothing to do with real metal anymore. But if there are still many fans and they do like it. Ok. Fair enough. I think the loss of marco is too big.😢
For me you are a strange island, but that's oké. If you don't like it so be it. Fair enough
This is what they call the evolution of Nightwish, fully executing the capacity of their musicality with the mastermind of Tuomas. Just enjoy🤟🏻🤟🏻
To each (island), their own...
So you came onto a reaction to a "new Nightwish" song? Just to say you don’t like new Nightwish? Bands have to evolve and they have done exactly that. Maybe you should just stick to "old Nightwish" songs then.
@@Mind-your-own-beeswaxHey there! You are, as so often, correct.
And to think she sang this six weeks after giving birth 😮
And the retiree part for Marco 😊
