    On the 19 August 2022 I took a trip down to Menorca, Spain onboard this Boeing 787-9 (Dreamliner) Unfortunately we were meant to be on a 767-300 until last minute our flight switched to this bigger 787-9 which I was actually very happy about!
    Glad I got the Wing View! Massive carbon wing!

    [Highlight of the Flight]
    I loved the surprise of getting off the bus at MAN T2 and seeing this TUI 787 in front of me eyes! I was so expecting a 767-300. Best part of 2022 possibly. Just so unexpected as I had never flown the 787 before in my life

    We went to Gran Canaria from Birmingham Oct 2021 with tui. Tui always lets you know the plane you’re flying on, on their app. We were due to fly 737-max 8 on both legs. However on the return the flight equipment changed to 787-9 (reg G-TUIL) cause we had extra leg room seats on the max 8 row 4, We were put in the premium cabin row 4 on the Dreamliner. No premiums service on that route but still got the premium seat! It was an absolute pleasure and dream to fly that Dreamliner. The seats were so roomy and my 6ft 3in son said it was the most comfortable flight he’s ever been on. Same could be said for the max 8 we departed Birmingham on, cause it had not long be bought back into service, it was a stunning clean, new cabin and equipment. Also a pleasure to fly on despite the history on the max 8, we had no nerves. Can’t wait for our next flight. October east miss to Fuerteventura. Flight radar has been showing it’s the 737-800 air explore om-mex or om-jex, charted by jet2

    I prefer the A350 since its also more modern and comfortable in comparison but any pilot will tell you they fly the better aircraft

    Bet this is hurting TUI using the dreamliner for these routes. These longhaul aircraft are only designed to be pressurised 2-3 times a day unlike the the 737/A320 thats is specificly designed to be pressurised 6-8 times a day. TUI will be burning through the flight cycles

      Well I think the other option was too bring out 2 737-800 Aircrafts or either cancels the flight. This was a great chance to fly the 787-9. You're probably right about the pressure cycle decay, but I see the reasoning to roster this one out instead of a cancellation. Thanks for watching Martin

      @@TTENetwork I'm still jealous. I have always wanted to go on a dreamliner. But yea I know someone who works in a hanger and they said the 737 is designed to be constantly taking off and landing all day everyday and widebodys are not. Great content as always 👍

      Not one bit correct, the 787 are a lot higher on air-frame cycles than conventional aluminium aircraft, also the pressurisation is a lot lower as well, these aircraft are perfectly suitable for either low to mid haul as well as long haul, and if you look back on there 767 operations they have been doing this very well over the past 20+ years with an aircraft that is no where near as advanced as the 787.

      @@martinirving153 Care to elaborate? Airlines like JAL and ANA bought the 787 exactly for this reason, high capacity short haul people movers, that's why TUI use these on there shorter haul routes.
