Hey guys, new subscriber alert! Watched all the vlogs from your last Orlando expedition and loved them. Looked back over a few of the older ones and have been impressed how Jim's comedic personality has bloomed over the years......definitely my kind of subtle humour! Really looking forward to this series. I was cabin crew for BA in the late 90's/early noughties and we would get seven day trips to Cancun, once a month on average. Really enjoyed my time there. The beach is stunning, the food was amazing, shopping fantastic, excursions were really interesting. All in all a great place. The nightlife from my blurred memory was a different level, absolute carnage with a crew of thirteen! Oh the stories I could tell you.....probably only suitable for Jim's ears! Keep the vlogs coming guys, makes my day when I see a new one appear. Such a lovely family and great to have a channel with such joy by the bucket load.
I loved this vlog. It’s funny but it made me think back to the days before mobile phones and tablets, people actually had to talk to each other. The hotel room looks amazing, how nice to have that space.

We looked at the Hard Rock but it was quite a bit more money. When we found PH it just ticked all the boxes with the facilities- pools, lazy river, cinema... Hi Jane, the seats were so uncomfortable and cramped... Steph & Jimmy managed to remain a lot more positive than I did over the 10hrs 😂 Something to look back on and laugh about now though. He starts senior school in September. Time really does fly 😊

Watched your orlando vlogs before we went on our holiday to florida, we're just back and your videos helped so much while we were away thank you so much for sharing your tips and recommendations with us cause they really helped. My seven year old has watched some so the despicable three were getting a mention on our holiday as we were trying restaurants etc by my son 🤣brilliant thanks for taking the time to share with us, watching your cancun videos as my mum is currently at the same hotel at the moment, to see what it's like.

Hi Nikki. We got an email the night before the flight to say they have chartered a different aeroplane/ company all together. I can't remember for sure on configuration but pretty sure it was 3-3-3 as a dreamliner 👍

Security were fine and TUI issued the forms on the way out. I'm sure you already remember but fill out the top and bottom sections. Have a fab time next month 😎

We loved it Mark. It's by no means perfect (where is?) but we couldn't have been happier. It is a little out of the way but the complex and facilities are outstanding and on a beautiful stretch of beach 😎

We went to an all inclusive resort in Turkey a couple of years ago due to Florida not happening and the amount of complaints people had despite expected restrictions due to covid was unreal..we absolutely loved the resort and fallen in love with Turkey 🇹🇷 ( still not better than Florida though 😀)

Hi, we booked the holiday with TUI and used the coach transfer that was included. They had a rep outside of the hotel that directed you to the buses. Have a great time in January, hope you love it as much as we did 😎
Hi just found your channel. Really liked this video. HiFly is a Portuguese leading company. They mainly have Airbus planes which Tui has Boeing. Hope this clears things up. Hope you enjoyed your flights and your holiday.
Apart from the entertainment not a bad journey all things considered. I always fly British Airways and American Airlines to Cancun and stopover in Miami or New York for a couple of days, it gets extra air miles, breaks the journey, and no extra fare just need to get you hotel. I always arrange private transfers about £100 return so you have a driver waiting for your with your name. Cancun arrivals is pretty slick usually and 45mins to an hour is par for the course. I’ve always got spare “entrance exams” for Mexico as they are quite long. What you didn’t say is don’t lose the bit they give you back as that costs you some money and a delay when leaving Mexico. Glad you didn’t have the 6 hour delay but for that flight Tui would have had to compensate you All £520 so a nice £1560 towards the next trip or stuff at home. Very much looking forward to this series.
That's a good point about keeping hold of the paperwork (luckily we did) but there were anumber of people on our transfer that hadn't. It will get covered off on our last day video 😊
American airports have TSA precheck which allows you mostly skip security checks. you simply run your bag through the x-ray and you walk through a quick machine scan and that's it. no separating things out just in/out 30 seconds unless they find something but usually nothing. you have to pay a fee and do a background check but worth it. its good for 5 years or more depending. I got because i travel a lot for various things so its just get it done and you get through quick. I know most other countries don't have this idea just something to think about. doesn't help at the ticket window but it helps after as you go through that line with no one in it.

We were shattered and I wanted to make use of our room amenities after that flight... i.e the telly. We got Tui Nordic on the way back and a dreamliner 🙌

We've watched all the Cancun Planet Hollywood vlogs and we love them. Thank tpu for giving us great info N tips 👍 What was so funny tho an I've e only realised this after watching , we was in T2 airport same time as you heading to Montego Bay Jamaica haha. We also ate in San Carlo an Sat in the large seating area afterwards. Did have a look for me on your vlogs but not cameo appearance haha. We are going in May , can I ask if you tipped the staff an if so what currency please ?
Thanks Jodie, that's really nice of you to say. Funnily enough we are just having our last night in Abu Dhabi and fly back to Manchester early Sunday morning. We took a mixture of dollars and pesos and tips were appreciated in either. We tipped housekeeping and the person who stoked the mini bar. We left a couple of dollars at the buffet usually and an average of 10 in the sit down restaurant if the service was good (usually was). We would tip the pool people a couple of dollars every few rounds or if we knew we were staying in the same spot for a few hours 10 dollars up front and you get well looked after. There were times we didn't have cash on us by the pool and still got good service but those guys work hard going back and forward in that heat. Have the best time and hopefully our paths cross again in the future 😎
Pretty sure if me and Rich were stuck on a plane for 10 hours without any entertainment one of us would have been pushed out the emergency exit 😂 the hotel looks amazing! 💜

Hi Lee, Mexico had been on our wish list for ages and I'm so glad we took the plunge. The view from our balcony was just stunning and we did a couple of excursions that were top class. Have a lovely weeeknd and take care 😊
Loving your videos so far. Started watching as I wanted to see how you coped with the 11hr flight. We are doing the Hard Rock next week on the Pacific side. Starting to wish I had booked this one instead.
We took a mixture of USD and Pesos. We tipped a couple of dollars in the buffet and by the pool for drinks service. We also tipped our waiters in the restaurants- usually $5-10. We tipped housekeeping $3 per day and $2-3 for the person filling the minibar back up.
Remind me never to fly on the same plane as you guys! 😆 That was a really good vlog despite the issues, and the hotel looks amazing! Did you get any compensation for the lack of inflight entertainment? About 20 years ago the console on my (Virgin) seat wasn't working, so the flight crew gave me an instant $25 discount on in-flight duty free. I suspect those were the good old days though. By the way, if Jimmy doesn't go into TV presentation when he's older it will be such a waste! 😅
It was one of those things and we had a laugh about it (in the end) so no complaints. I've got a subscription to Take a Break magazine now... every cloud and all that 😉😂
2nd time I went to Cancun our plane had to be changed last min as someone drove a catering truck into the door of the plane. It was Thomas cook yes that long ago we had paid for premium seating, didn't get it but got 150% of cost back in resort in cash and still premium on way back. paid for lots of excursions.

. We just got back from Florida...found it extremely very worn down after 9 visits and this one post covid. I Drive now toward North end...run down and I encountered loads of homeless people on my early morining runs....incredibly hot..and theme parks busy as usual. I've got a few American - friends over the years and they are literally on their "knees" economically at the moment. First time ever I have been to Florida when It was cheaper to eat and drink in England by a long way...that was a surprise! I till managed to run 6.1 K in that crazy heat on my 61st birtheday... I think I have had my fill of Florida now. I'm pleased that you get to travel like you do. Take care.
The North end is looking like a shadow of its former self but I think that the construction of Epic Universe will bring much needed investment in to the area and it will improve. Fingers crossed anyway. Great effort running in that heat. You're a better man than me 👍👍👍🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️

Such a cute family. Looks amazing 🤩 I really don’t like what they have done to Manc T2. We also ate in the Italian that you had breakfast in, went shopping and then couldn’t get a drink from anywhere else after as the queues were huge. I remember the days when you could just walk in places and get a drink from the bar. It seems so much smaller now.

We are thinking Mexico next year instead of Disney. Hotel looks amazing, we are a family of 5 with a 10 year old, 8 year old and a 2 year old. The hotel looks more suited to older children, would you recommend the hotel to people with little ones??
We picked Planet Hollywood based on the theming and amenities. We looked at a lot of resorts that looked stunning but lacked kid friendly stuff. We (standard class / family side) had access to three pools (with lots of activities) and the lazy river plus there is a fantastic kids splash area for little un's - Jurassic Splash Park. They also have a beautiful beach, cinema (three films daily), kids Club, table tennis, pool table in the sports bar so there is plenty going on. We'll show more of the resort next week so hopefully it will start to give you a flavour 😊

Hi Nikki. We got an email the night before the flight to say they have chartered a different aeroplane/ company all together. I can't remember for sure on configuration but pretty sure it was 3-3-3 as a dreamliner 👍

Security were fine and TUI issued the forms on the way out. I'm sure you already remember but fill out the top and bottom sections. Have a fab time next month 😎

We loved it Mark. It's by no means perfect (where is?) but we couldn't have been happier. It is a little out of the way but the complex and facilities are outstanding and on a beautiful stretch of beach 😎

We went to an all inclusive resort in Turkey a couple of years ago due to Florida not happening and the amount of complaints people had despite expected restrictions due to covid was unreal..we absolutely loved the resort and fallen in love with Turkey 🇹🇷 ( still not better than Florida though 😀)
People often have unreasonable expectations and expect to be waited on hand and foot and not have to wait... for anything. Blows my mind.

Hi, we booked the holiday with TUI and used the coach transfer that was included. They had a rep outside of the hotel that directed you to the buses. Have a great time in January, hope you love it as much as we did 😎

Hi just found your channel. Really liked this video. HiFly is a Portuguese leading company. They mainly have Airbus planes which Tui has Boeing. Hope this clears things up. Hope you enjoyed your flights and your holiday.
The flight out was grim with Hi Fly but the holiday was fantastic and a great flight back with Tui Nordic. Thank you 😊
Apart from the entertainment not a bad journey all things considered. I always fly British Airways and American Airlines to Cancun and stopover in Miami or New York for a couple of days, it gets extra air miles, breaks the journey, and no extra fare just need to get you hotel. I always arrange private transfers about £100 return so you have a driver waiting for your with your name. Cancun arrivals is pretty slick usually and 45mins to an hour is par for the course. I’ve always got spare “entrance exams” for Mexico as they are quite long. What you didn’t say is don’t lose the bit they give you back as that costs you some money and a delay when leaving Mexico.
Glad you didn’t have the 6 hour delay but for that flight Tui would have had to compensate you All £520 so a nice £1560 towards the next trip or stuff at home. Very much looking forward to this series.
That's a good point about keeping hold of the paperwork (luckily we did) but there were anumber of people on our transfer that hadn't. It will get covered off on our last day video 😊

It was the best room we have stayed in. Un real 😍
American airports have TSA precheck which allows you mostly skip security checks. you simply run your bag through the x-ray and you walk through a quick machine scan and that's it. no separating things out just in/out 30 seconds unless they find something but usually nothing. you have to pay a fee and do a background check but worth it. its good for 5 years or more depending. I got because i travel a lot for various things so its just get it done and you get through quick. I know most other countries don't have this idea just something to think about. doesn't help at the ticket window but it helps after as you go through that line with no one in it.

We've watched all the Cancun Planet Hollywood vlogs and we love them. Thank tpu for giving us great info N tips 👍 What was so funny tho an I've e only realised this after watching , we was in T2 airport same time as you heading to Montego Bay Jamaica haha. We also ate in San Carlo an Sat in the large seating area afterwards. Did have a look for me on your vlogs but not cameo appearance haha.

Thanks Jodie, that's really nice of you to say. Funnily enough we are just having our last night in Abu Dhabi and fly back to Manchester early Sunday morning. We took a mixture of dollars and pesos and tips were appreciated in either. We tipped housekeeping and the person who stoked the mini bar. We left a couple of dollars at the buffet usually and an average of 10 in the sit down restaurant if the service was good (usually was). We would tip the pool people a couple of dollars every few rounds or if we knew we were staying in the same spot for a few hours 10 dollars up front and you get well looked after. There were times we didn't have cash on us by the pool and still got good service but those guys work hard going back and forward in that heat. Have the best time and hopefully our paths cross again in the future 😎

We took a mixture of USD and Pesos. We tipped a couple of dollars in the buffet and by the pool for drinks service. We also tipped our waiters in the restaurants- usually $5-10. We tipped housekeeping $3 per day and $2-3 for the person filling the minibar back up.

Remind me never to fly on the same plane as you guys! 😆 That was a really good vlog despite the issues, and the hotel looks amazing! Did you get any compensation for the lack of inflight entertainment? About 20 years ago the console on my (Virgin) seat wasn't working, so the flight crew gave me an instant $25 discount on in-flight duty free. I suspect those were the good old days though.
By the way, if Jimmy doesn't go into TV presentation when he's older it will be such a waste! 😅
It was one of those things and we had a laugh about it (in the end) so no complaints. I've got a subscription to Take a Break magazine now... every cloud and all that 😉😂
2nd time I went to Cancun our plane had to be changed last min as someone drove a catering truck into the door of the plane. It was Thomas cook yes that long ago we had paid for premium seating, didn't get it but got 150% of cost back in resort in cash and still premium on way back. paid for lots of excursions.

. We just got back from Florida...found it extremely very worn down after 9 visits and this one post covid. I Drive now toward North end...run down and I encountered loads of homeless people on my early morining runs....incredibly hot..and theme parks busy as usual. I've got a few American - friends over the years and they are literally on their "knees" economically at the moment. First time ever I have been to Florida when It was cheaper to eat and drink in England by a long way...that was a surprise! I till managed to run 6.1 K in that crazy heat on my 61st birtheday... I think I have had my fill of Florida now. I'm pleased that you get to travel like you do. Take care.
The North end is looking like a shadow of its former self but I think that the construction of Epic Universe will bring much needed investment in to the area and it will improve. Fingers crossed anyway.

I really don’t like what they have done to Manc T2. We also ate in the Italian that you had breakfast in, went shopping and then couldn’t get a drink from anywhere else after as the queues were huge. I remember the days when you could just walk in places and get a drink from the bar. It seems so much smaller now.
I know what you mean Jenny. I don't think any of us realised how good we had it travelling back in the day. Everything is either busy or uncertain. Hopefully the world will get back on its feet again soon 🙏

We are thinking Mexico next year instead of Disney. Hotel looks amazing, we are a family of 5 with a 10 year old, 8 year old and a 2 year old. The hotel looks more suited to older children, would you recommend the hotel to people with little ones??
We picked Planet Hollywood based on the theming and amenities. We looked at a lot of resorts that looked stunning but lacked kid friendly stuff. We (standard class / family side) had access to three pools (with lots of activities) and the lazy river plus there is a fantastic kids splash area for little un's - Jurassic Splash Park. They also have a beautiful beach, cinema (three films daily), kids
Club, table tennis, pool table in the sports bar so there is plenty going on.
We'll show more of the resort next week so hopefully it will start to give you a flavour 😊
