    Thank you for showing Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. I attended Sunday school there in 1942. I am 89 now...great memories

    Great video. An eclectic city with eclectic architecture, What a variety along the route. I also appreciated the choice of music which reflected the vibrant feeling of Los Angeles. Thank you for bringing me up-to-date on the changes in the city. As always, have a delightful weekend.

    Cheers Scott for another great video,I'm normally not an art deco fan but i love these old buildings,majestic.
    Being a drummer and a Jaz lover the sound track moved me,I wish I could solo but I'm just happy to be in the band,looking forward to the lakes video,keep em coming 👍👍

      Thanks, Stewart! The world needs more drummers, man. Every time I drive around Los Angeles, I throw a jazz mix up on my Spotify. Those grooves just fit this town. I grew up playing in the Jazz Band in high school and I love a good big band chart. Thanks for your support and comments, drumming brother!

      I also love the big band sound it comes from my dad's musical tastes,Jaz baffles me though butvi think with some lessons I could sit in with the band,I also love all the tv and movie incidental music,one of the tracks reminded me of Lalo Schifren,excuse my spelling if it's wrong any way thanks again for a wee bit of escapism for an old fart like me.

    What happened to the old Four Star Theater on Wilshire?

    • @ridealongwithscott
      @ridealongwithscott  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Sadly, it was demolished in 2014. One of many Art Deco's of LA that are now gone forever. It was built in 1933, was an adult movie theater for about 10 years in the 70's, then converted to a church and spent it's last days as an Indian movie venue. Thanks for watching!

      @@ridealongwithscott thanks for the info. I remember going there with my cousins in 1965 and we we watched second run Bowery Boys movies

    5000 traffic lights in los angeles. You could call the city of angel the red light district, quite fond of it, or it could be in my 60 years of driving in los angeles I also must have stopped at every red light also, twice.. and yes a great jazz soundtrack

      America's second largest city a lot of red lights, and maybe a few red light districts as well. Thanks for the kind comments, and I'll keep bringing you the best of California!
