I was watching the USC - Penn game on TV at the Colosseum, and they kept showing the palm trees at the parristi end of the stadium. So beautiful.

I'm Australian, and I wasn't really expecting much from LA, but I must say that I was enchanted with all of the palm trees in LA. It would be a shame to see them ditched for any alternative. I'd suggest replanting palm trees.

Which section of palm trees would be considered the most legendary or popular as a prefect depiction of the palm trees in LA?

Mexican fan palm (Washingtonia robusta). Tall super skinny palms you see lining boulevards and along Venice Beach.

Hard to say which kind of palms line the streets here in Los Feliz, in the Franklin Hills of the Los Feliz district. They are very tall and keeping going. Most are more than 110 years old. The rats and the invasive green parrots like them. They look great but shade trees are even nicer. However the City has to contract to have those trimmed, and the palms only have the old leaves removed. Pretty sure the variety here, likely Mexican, exist without being watered.

Technically there's no such thing as trees, just plants with giganticism

@@tenntye6064 what about the giant baobabs?
Or a palm tree. Succulents and grasses. Would you consider a rose bush to be a tree? They're made of wood. Not all wood is the same. Not all of it comes from trees.
      What defines wood?
There is no specific taxonomy for a tree. You should look it up before you reply
