They both sound good are very good basses. It really depends on the genre you're playing as to what would work better for you. I've had both a Streamer and a Spector and I liked them both. It also matters what pickups you have and preamp. I had EMG's and Aguilar OBP3 in the Streamer and that bass KILLED!!

So a neck-through bass with PJ single coils that costs nearly $3k has a more strident midrange and more clarity than one with a bolt on neck and dual humbuckers that costs a little less than $2k? Right. Who would've thought. You honestly could've done this whole video with that Warwick and a Warwick Streamer NT with PJs, or that Spector against a Spector Eurobolt with dual humbuckers and seen just as much difference. Before the COVID situation hit, I test played a Chinese-made Warwick 5-string Corvette $$ at my local Guitar Center. I LOVED how it sounded and felt to play (but it was also sooooooo damn heavy). It also had some electronics problems and was on the clearance rack for like $600. Still kind of kicking myself in the ass for not pulling the trigger, but I wanted the chance to test-drive some other brands before I decide what to get.
I had the chance to buy a used (but almost mint) one for $300 but passed on it. I regretted it until now because this GPS is climbing to the top spot of my bass collection.
Having owned both Euro Spectors and Teambuilt Warwicks, I think the Spectors sound better but Warwicks quality control is better. Both Spectors had terrible fret work.
It’s all personal preference...But there was a time where every professional musician could be seen using them from low slinging pick metal guys to studio caliber cats...Everyone trusted the NS- 2
Absolutely. Have one 18 volt tone capsule in my old spector q4 and will be swapping one into my violet burst lt 5 at some point as it came with a tone pump.
Just bought a Spector bass and I’m in love! The growl is real. One day I’d love to own a Warwick as well, but for now I’m all about that Spector bass! The moment I picked it up it just felt so right.
The Spector tone pump is a full 18db Treble & Bass boost/cut. All the way on the treble/bass are boosted (traditional Smile EQ). All the way off and they're slightly cut. Somewhere in the middle it's flat. If you don't have the internal trim-pot, just roll off the Tonepump because all it is is a Treble/Bass boost.
The Spector just sounds fuller with a broader spectrum of highs and lows! At least to my ears. The Warwick is wolly and dull! And the necks on the Warwicks I've tried were uncomfortable to me. I remember playing a Spector Rebop bass with EMGhz pickups at Guitar Center in the used section. I was blown away! I don't know how to explain it. I've played many basses sense with the EMGhz pickups and they don't have what that Spector had! Unfortunately even used it was out of my price range.
i really love the overall smoothness of the spector, and how its more clear, but also rumbly and growly. in this case, id go with the lt. but id also like to see a comparison between the lt and my favorite warwick model, the thumb.
Now I want to hear Nicki's mahogany StingRay! This video is a lot of fun, because I play a StingRay and a Corvette Proline (MEC active-active J-J). I'm starting to think about having a series/parallel switch installed on my StingRay.
I think the only video she did (what I know) on the Stingray is the 80's Post Punk Sound (great video), sounds amazing... Man, I see comments on other videos and forums about Stingrays and I R E A L L Y want a Stingray, here in Argentina you have to sell your kidneys and maybe your lungs to afford just one... Also, I would love to have the HH, but the single H just does it for me ...
And I personally think it simply has to do with the Warwick they chose to showcase. Had they chose any Warwick thumb or streamer , regardless the model, those two Warwick types own aggressive sound
So weird thing about the battery doors, opening and closing them enough times can pull the wires off the solder on the contacts within the door housing. This happened with my old stingray. The Warwick battery connector doesn’t have any tension and If you handle it with care, it’ll never let you down
I have a Spector USA NS4 and a Warwick master built Thumb and they couldn't be any different! My Spector as more in common with my Wal MK1 ... it's gigantic compared to the Warwick.
After looking for that Corvette DoubleBuck, but couldnt get it due to manufacturing problems at Warwick cause of Covid, I tried the Spector LX4 String Neckthrough with Tonepump. and took it. I'm quite happy with this. I was at Warwick in that booth before and talked to the head of manufacturing an tried all those fancy basses too. But still, Spector EURO is a great Choice. I will keep my Warwick Streamer anyway ;)
Some of the best design ideas are the simplest, as a Warwick Corvette owner I cant believe that no other manufacturers have an adjustable nut! Its awesome and not the only reason I love my Warwick but its def a tick box.
Always preferred Spector over everything. Rex's playing turned me on to it years ago in Pantera. Never been able to afford one, though.. Sterling StingRay for the cost factor
Awesome to hear Nicki play the iconic bassline of Hey Man, Nice Shot by Filter. (Especially since the tone of her spector is better to my ears than the original)
I'm a Spector guy myself but I still want a thumb from listening to mudvayne growing up just ryan martinie and his Warwick Thumb 5 . They are so heavy though.
I’ve never owned a Warwick, but I’ve played a few, and IMHO, Warwick makes really nice basses. I REALLY like the sound of the Thumb Bass, because that’s what my hero, Jack Bruce used to play. (He also played an early Spector NS2, FWIW) I own 2 Czech made Spectors. One is a 2000 or 2001 NS4CRFM, and the other is a Euro 6LT, that I bought last Summer. Both basses came stock with EMG P/Js, and EMG BTS EQs. My NS4CRFM has “Standard” EMGs, my 6LT has EMG X-Series pickups. I absolutely LOVE my Spector Euros! Their tones are surprisingly versatile. I’m planning a couple more. I want a Euro 5LX, a Euro 5LT and a Euro 6LX. I’m hooked on Spectors. BTW, I prefer the sound of Nicki’s Euro 4LT. And, yes: I’m biased.
After 42yrs of playing the bass guitar I have finally been set free from the active battery on board electronics !! I own over 40 basses and I currently only own 2 basses that have an active on-board circuit !!! I am an old school rock player and passive pick up's are perfect for me with a high power tube amp then I am happy !! I'll just use a bass preamp pedal on my pedal board and that works for me !! Remember that it is ALL in the FINGERS !!!
I’m looking to upgrade from my $300 Ibanez SDGR, which got a massive boost from my Darkglass Alpha-Omega Ultra.. But, a Wal bass is out of my price range.. I was thinking of getting a schecter riot..
dimsoneill I’d say $1200 - $2000. I’m a huge Tool junkie.. I play aggressively with pick or fingers.. I love that growling rattle that Justin gets.. I play a ton of drop D also. Love to play melodies with delay.. My Ibanez sounds way too muddy on low string. There is no note clarity. Especially with pull offs and hammer ons.. Love the warmth of a Warwick but it sounds too froggy in my opinion
@@tcotroneo Spector Euro would get you that! But I'm biased as it's my main bass! There's an ESP that nathan Navarro does a review of, it's got such an aggressive but powerful tone
@@LRS905 the hybrids right? Correct me if im wrong. Alusonic makes them entirely and has some really cool ones, like a "Sabre" model and a "51p" with a j pickup. Never the less i didn't say that they invented them :p
Playability is so much more important to me than inherent tone. You can always tweak inherent tone with pedals and EQ to get a sound and output that you like but if a bass isn’t comfortable to play then it’s almost impossible to change that. I’ve loved the sound of just about every Spector Euro I’ve played but I could never get used to that gloss neck. Conversely, my Warwick isn’t the best sounding bass I’ve ever played out of the box but it just feels so comfortable in my hands that it practically plays itself. Chuck in some effects and processing and it’s an absolute tone beast.
Warwick owns all bass companies imho. Not only do they have a sick sick sickass growl for all types of music. But They are the only bass I’ve found that has this almost harmonic overtone, to every note....especially the Warwick thumb basses. It’s so hard to put into words what it is that I hear that every Warwick has, it’s almost a droned note that every attacked note has. If ya want to hear it, Ryan Martinie really pulls that tone out of his thumb bass when he plays.
My 6-string Ng3 shits on my 6-string Thumb in every way, at Half the price! I don't even play it anymore. Warwick have a very nice bridge setup, They are definitely the better choice over Spector.
One thing i noticed hearing warwick apart from the distinctive mids is that the lower end has this crazy rumble growl to it. I'm more partial to Ps, Js, Musicman, GL style.
Watched this video this morning and bought the last Spector Euro 4 LT that was for sale in my country :) even the same finish :) my first "grown-up" bass!
In the intro, the Spector and the Warwick both have a good sound in the 4th string, but the Warwick sounded a lot less clear. than the Spector on the 3rd string. The difference in the sound between the Warwick 4th and 3rd string are substantial. The Spector is much clearer.
Except for the highest tiers in both companies, my preference is (from top to bottom) 1. Spector Euro series 2. Warwick GPS 3. Warwick Rockbass series 4. Spector made in Korea/Indonesia
Why in gods name was this woman allowed to design a bass?! “I’m not a gear head” and “I don’t even think about this stuff” about the subject matter THEY ARE GOING OVER. JEEEEEEZZZZZAALOOO. Great video anyway. I’ll be getting a Warwick.
Also. What “people that don’t care about tone wood, or gear, or any of the components” doing buying a 3500 dollar bass? Those people certainly aren’t watching a 45 minute comparison video, much less in desperate need of representation Haha. This video cracks me up.
So here’s the deal. My favorite bassist is Marco hietala of nightwish and he uses a Warwick but they are incredibly expensive. I own a squire affinity jazz bass and I absolutely love it. If I were to upgrade what should I look for? I’ve been looking at kiesel. I’m strapped but one day I’ll be able to afford an upgrade
Just listen Marduk new album, for me that is the best black metal bass sound ever, I think its recorded on Warwick 5 corvette. Spector is better for death metal, my opinion.
Love both basses. In this video I'd have to give the nod to Spector. I play a Warwick pro-series Corvette standard. Bubinga/ovenkol/wenge, and I think my tone would be more comparable. Absolutely love the Spector Euro rst, as well as the streamer stage one's. Loved the video simply because as a lefty, all the demos one can hear are helpful to determine a baseline, no pun intended, to help with buying the right bass. Not a lot of euro LX basses in my local shops to fiddle with.🤣 Or Warwicks at all. So thank you.👍🤘
Love these vs videos. Ever thought of doing one with Hofners? They have three distinct levels of instruments, much like other manufacturers, so that would have to be taken into account. Compare kind to kind, obviously. Folks here may disparage Hofner, but they are awesome.
Its a 2500 dollar bass vs a 1500 dollar bass btw, and also completely different pickup configuration lol.. A made in germany Streamer would have been a more more accurate comparison.
I've had three Spectors since the 1980s. Haven't kept any of them. Great looks but never could get a sound I was comfortable with. Big and meaty for sure but couldn't get a useable top end that I liked. The last one I had for a day and took it back in exchange for an equivalent priced Ibanez. Absolutely no comparison in any department. I have however bought a Warwick Fortress Masterman 5 new in '97. I still have it and always will. The balance is perfect, despite the weight. Easy to play and the sounds - perfection. You name it, it can do it with class. But I'm hopeful that I'll find a Spector that works for me one day. We all have different tastes.
In 1993 , as the Lead Singer and Bass player in Hard Driving Southern Outlaw Power Trio, an Ibanez SG 5 became my #1, over my 80s PBass. In 94, while doing a show in Jackson Ms, I walked in a Music Store with a Wallet full of Hard Earned money , intending on getting a MM Stingray 5.. After comparing it with my $400 bass I Simply couldn't make myself pay that kind of money for a Bass that did not have the Sound I wanted .. So I played Ibanez, till 04 when I went back in the Same Music store, looking at all the Higher End Basses, while my GF was begging me to try a Bass she had spotted, a Schecter Custom5, natural Blonde Flamed Maple... I agreed to try it, with no expectations.. It blew me away, but i wanted time to think about it... The next day, she came over to my house, with a BDay Surprise, and the Schecter Custom5 became my new #1.. In my 5 piece Outlaw Power Band. 3 months later, we were doing shows along side a great friend of mines Group, in Hammond, Covington, Baton Rouge , the Bass Player of the Other group asked if i wanted to try his Corvette 5.. I thumped around on it, but chose my Schecter of Course..He wound up playing my Schecter Custom (only because he thought it was a Custom I had Schecter build for Me!) He loved it, but said he would have to stick with his Warwick aa a Custom was out of his Price Range. I didn't have the heart to tell him it was under $800 at the time. 2 yrs ago, after reuniting with the Power Trio from the 90s, i bought a Schecter Stealth5, without trying it out, from My Fav online Store..Zzounds.. The PBass P'up made it No Brainer, (the All Satin Black was another reason) Now note, I have owned the Studio5, nd Hellraiser in an attempt to upgrade from my Custom 5, and sold both after they didn't give me what the Lower priced Custom5 gave. I even put DR Black Beauty's on the Stealth, for looks, as i had been a Rotosound Swing Bass string player since I began playing bass and singing in my first band, at 10 yrs old, 2020 being my 40year anniversary as a Bass player.. The Stealth 5 with DR Black beauties, at $200 less than my Custom 5, hands down kicked my Custom into its case where it remains 2 years later, and I purchased another stealth 5 for a backup. Before i put the Custom 5 away, I did Everything i Could to Try to make it remain #1, till I finally accepted it .. Why put $500 worth of P'ups, & Preamps into an $800 bass in an attempt to make it compete with a bass under $600? So, after watching a FanBoy being Cucked by a Fan Girl, both Defending the Name of their Basses, more than what they actually sound like, play like, etc.and with comments like "even if its a good Korean Bass, thats All it is"and" I couldn't find my tone on a $300 bass" I have to say, if You 2 want to join forces , with those 2 Beautiful $2600+ , exotic woods, best of the best, Super Powers of the Bass World, kinda like "the enemy of my enemy " against Me and my under $600 Bass , just say the word. I am Always Open to Learn ,and I am Not EVEN Close to a Fan Boy, I just need someone to Show Me why I Need to Spend More money for their Bass of Choice.. I began on a No Name JBass knock off, so my heart is always rooting for underdogs, and I love tp see the looks and excuses Bass Snobs give when their High End Basses "Fold" to a lower priced bass. I would be a liar if I said Equipment doesn't matter, I can make a $50 dollar bass Sound Good, but it will limit my playing, to what it is capable of duplicating. So holler if y'all want to show people fellow Bass Players the Real Diff of Basses . high end vs LOW mid range. And Never forget where you started. I am proud for the both of you for finding the Basses you both Prefer. I'm delighted with mine, but will lay it down, and work towards getting it, whether it costs $250 or $2500,IF I Find one that better voices my Sound... No matter what Name it has on it. Again holler, I would especially love to check it against that Spector, with the Similar P'up arrangement.. And would order one from Zzounds if it showed itself Worthy. Please don't angry at my challenge, as i Dig this channel, and stand beside my fellow Bass Players , Worldwide! Much Love
Nothing beats the tone and growl of a Spector. I've owned several basses, Warwick, Fender, Ibanez, Jackson, etc, I even had a Pevey and Gibson. (two big pieces of crap) I was having problems with the electronics with my Jackson bass and had to borrow a bandmates Spector for a gig. That night between sets I got a lot of compliments on my playing from not only the audience but my bandmates as well. The next day I hit the music store and sold all old my basses and bought three Spectors. I've been playing Spector ever since, that was in 02. That growl and tone there's no other sound like it. This is coming from a drummer, the bass is my second preferred instrument, I play it from time to time at some gigs. Spector is the only way to go.
I own two Warwick Bass guitars, one is a 90's Warwick Thumb and the other is a 2010's 5 string Corvette I love both instruments and both are very different animals in both live and recording situations. I played on a few really Nice Spectors though I never truly got on with them because of the neck shape felt too thin in my hands.
I'll go with the Spector over the Warwick. Thank you. The one thing i do not like about "Warwick" is that they feel very "MACHINE" made.. No TLC in the feel of these instruments. I talked to a man at a music store way back in the late 1990's. Man this guy SMOKED on bass !!! I said to him "You sound GREAT !!!" He said "Thank you". Then i said "I tried the Warwick bass that all the papers have been making a fuss about". "I didn't like it". He said to me "I don't like it either".
I want to hear a fretless Spector. So far I’d say I’m team Warwick but that’s because I own a fretless corvette. Would need to hear a fretless Spector to compare
I've never owned either brand instrument, but I can tell that these companies (probably) put more into their instruments than most. They both have excellent tone and unlike some of my instruments, they will likely hold their value over time. I especially love Warwick's designs and choices of woods, but there is a growl to the Spector that I didn't hear on the Warwick.
I own both a '94 Spector NSCRFM and a '99 Warwick Streamer LX. Love the punchiness of the Spector, and it has one of my favorite slap tones too. I had 2 Warwicks previously, a bolt on and a neck thru Thumb. and tried to like them, but I never warmed up to them. I particularly hated the neck profile (The neck thru was slightly better/slimmer). They were incredibly responsive instruments though, and took some getting used to (If you're used to playing a P bass, for example, you'll immediately notice just how latent they feel/sound comparatively to a Thumb, where the note you pluck is instantaneous). If you're a tapper (I'm not), they're a perfect weapon. Anyway, I prefer the Spector in this demo.
hmmm Interesting.... I'm on the lookout for a 4 string that can keep up with my 5-string Esh Stinger I. Never played a Warwick but a used made in Germany Corvette is absolutely an option so far. I did own a Spector, but only a Legend which was good until I got the Esh which just killed it in pretty much any way BUT then again, that was not really a fair comparison. Unfortunately I've never been crazy about the Spector body shape. I'd love to know where an Esh would fall in that comparison so I had a better idea of how they compare because I really LOVE that Stinger I. Mine has dual EMG Singlecoils and their Eshtronic (there are variants with a single MM-style Humbucker, too and also "Basic" passive models) and since it was mentioned in the video: the Esh DOES give you the option of just switching to the pickups directly to the jack without volume or tone controlls in between (it does have those, too though and a piezo bridge, too).
I used to be a Spector endorsed artist back in the early 2000s. Still love their bases to the this day and currently looking for an oldschool Euro NS-4CR.
Hey lady, the noise it's because your kill switch installed is metal. Change for a plastic long contacts hardware on/off like I did and problem solved.😊Bassman
Man, I haven't tried Warwick yet, but even the cheapest Spector Performer 4 for 400-500ish Euros does, in my opinion beat Jackson John Campbell signature, Fender Jazz Reggie Hamilton, or cheaper Yamaha rbx 375 all of which I owned. There is just incredible response to aggressive playing on Spectors. These 2 are best of the best, tough comparison.
Spector sounded "better" (fatter) with her fingers, at least based on the strings used, and their gauges. Would like to hear the basses with the same type and gauges of strings. And, would like to hear someone else play the two for comparison.
hi, great video, I own spector LT for 1 month and love it, noticed that the front pickup & back pickup is not at the same volume, i know that under the hood there is a midrange knob that set at at factory, anybody know about this ? is this the tone or the balance set between the 2 pickups ?
@@NickiTedesco I checked it and it changes the power of the rear pickup and as a result you get more mid range, the factory setting is to minimum and it looks to be the best
Asi Barnea ok but you still have the volume problem right? Can you loosen the screws on the quieter pickup so it’s closed to the strings making sure it’s even on each string? That’s helped me before.

Spectors are the best based ever made.
They are very great instruments !!!
It’s all personal preference...But there was a time where every professional musician could be seen using them from low slinging pick metal guys to studio caliber cats...Everyone trusted the NS- 2
Darkglass Tone Capsule is normally Bass, High Mids, Low Mids, not Bass, Treble, Mids
Absolutely. Have one 18 volt tone capsule in my old spector q4 and will be swapping one into my violet burst lt 5 at some point as it came with a tone pump.
The spector version is different the standard tonecapsule
I wish my hair blew like that when I play my bass
😁
your playing bass wrong then.. haha
My favorite on board EQ on a bass is just an active bass boost and a passive treble cut (tone control). I never want to cut bass or boost treble.
The Spector has an aggressive, "growly" tone. The Warwick has a warmer, lighter tone. I prefer the tone and the aesthetics of Spector.
yeah but warwick has cooler hardware, headstock shape sucks way less and just a nut is awesome
And I personally think it simply has to do with the Warwick they chose to showcase. Had they chose any Warwick thumb or streamer , regardless the model, those two Warwick types own aggressive sound
Our ears are wired the opposite - Spector sounds more polite, versatile. Warwick more growly, less warm - thinner.
Always had Warwick as my favorite until I got a Spector. The Spector is now my favorite of my collection. I don’t have top of the line bass though.
Looking back on owning a 2001 Warwick Thumb I think I probably would have preferred buying a spector
Playing one of my favorite 90s songs.
I used to play Warwick but on this Spector wins hands down.
I love my Spector Euro LX5 Lefty, made in czech republic, it's a monster.
Some of the best design ideas are the simplest, as a Warwick Corvette owner I cant believe that no other manufacturers have an adjustable nut! Its awesome and not the only reason I love my Warwick but its def a tick box.
I know im here for music, but she is so happy it cannot go unnoticed. What a smile and her laugh is incredible.
Always preferred Spector over everything. Rex's playing turned me on to it years ago in Pantera. Never been able to afford one, though.. Sterling StingRay for the cost factor
You like the sterling?
Awesome to hear Nicki play the iconic bassline of Hey Man, Nice Shot by Filter. (Especially since the tone of her spector is better to my ears than the original)
As a wenge junkie I just love the feel of the necks on the Warwicks and now on the Cort basses I play.
Spector for me easily. Never liked warwicks
Ditto
I'm a Spector guy myself but I still want a thumb from listening to mudvayne growing up just ryan martinie and his Warwick Thumb 5 . They are so heavy though.
Spector for design and finish; Warwick for sound .
I’ve never owned a Warwick, but I’ve played a few, and IMHO, Warwick makes really nice basses. I REALLY like the sound of the Thumb Bass, because that’s what my hero, Jack Bruce used to play. (He also played an early Spector NS2, FWIW)
I own 2 Czech made Spectors.
I have them both...an ancient white spector ns 2a (w emg bts preamp) and Ash bodyWarwick $$ 5 string ..every sound man love them .
I’m looking to upgrade from my $300 Ibanez SDGR, which got a massive boost from my Darkglass Alpha-Omega Ultra.. But, a Wal bass is out of my price range.. I was thinking of getting a schecter riot..
I have a high end SNGR, and they are also a great option, especially with those Nordstrand big singles.
Mate! Get the Schecter Model T. Gorgeous bass!
tcotroneo what’s your budget and what style of music do you like?
dimsoneill I’d say $1200 - $2000.
Speaking about alternate material basses, try Alusonic from Italy, they are aluminium and some aluminium-wood hybrids
@@LRS905 the hybrids right? Correct me if im wrong. Alusonic makes them entirely and has some really cool ones, like a "Sabre" model and a "51p" with a j pickup. Never the less i didn't say that they invented them :p
Just bought a Euro4 LT in Poplar blue fade. It should be here next week.😊
Finally some nice bassists playing with a pick on YT.
Filter-Hey Man Nice Shot. Great song
Watched this video this morning and bought the last Spector Euro 4 LT that was for sale in my country :) even the same finish :) my first "grown-up" bass!
Loved my thumb bass neck through
But Spector hands down.
In the intro, the Spector and the Warwick both have a good sound in the 4th string, but the Warwick sounded a lot less clear. than the Spector on the 3rd string. The difference in the sound between the Warwick 4th and 3rd string are substantial. The Spector is much clearer.
My only complaint with Warwick is Their MEC preamp and pickups. I've always liked the Spector tones better. Both the HAZ and the Tone pump Jr.
Except for the highest tiers in both companies, my preference is (from top to bottom)
1. Spector Euro series
2. Warwick GPS
3. Warwick Rockbass series
Glad you like em!
This is easily one of my favorite channels. Keep up the good work!
Great video. Just based on this video alone, I'd pick Spector.
I ended up buying a Spector Euro LX and that matte finish is soooo nice.
This was a lot of fun and I learned that if I ever have long hair I have to have a fan blowing it around so I look cool while I play
I will say though that the bass she has is my dream bass. If i could buy one, just one of any brand and type, That is the one.
Frequencies on the MEC 2 band pre amp in the Warwick are 100 and 2.5k
You guys came out with this at the perfect time for me thank you guys so much for your quality ass vids! 🤘 rock on!!
I always thought I was more of a Warwick fan, but this Spector sounds fantastic.
Wonderful people, great presentation. I'm in the market for Spector and came to the right place. Love it!
hmmm Interesting....
Like the Spector better but both seem to have alot of buzz.
After seeing this again the Spector is it , I need one!
Wow she really sold me on the Spector. Really good bass for metal.
Can I prefer one of each? I have a Spector Euro 5LXTW and a Warwick Rockbass Starbass 5. Love them both for different reasons but both are great.
That Spector is as gorgeous as Nicki is. Great vid and even cooler that you guys were able to team up 🤘
Hey lady, the noise it's because your kill switch installed is metal.
Subject of the video aside for the moment; Does anyone know the name of the song that Nicki was playing at the start?
The Spector might be better, but it's also more expensive, neck through and higher spec. This is coming from an owner of both a Warwick and a Spector.
hi, great video, I own spector LT for 1 month and love it, noticed that the front pickup & back pickup is not at the same volume, i know that under the hood there is a midrange knob that set at at factory, anybody know about this ? is this the tone or the balance set between the 2 pickups ?
The midrange knob in the cavity is only for that but mess around with it!
Why didnt you guys choose a thumb or streamer since the body whape and pickup combo is more similar?
Streamer wasn’t available
I play Spector and my friend plays Warwick. We always rib each other about switching brands. Also I'm SWR sm400 matching 4x10 n 1x15and he's Ampeg svt 4 with matching 8x10. Lol
I love both. Both have their places, tones and feel. Warwick, Spector and Musicman. My favorite brands all in one video.
I know I’m a couple years late to this but, should have compared the streamer with a similar pickup configuration.
Personally, I think the Spector sounds a lot better. The Warwick sounded best in "Neck Series" configuration.
Surely neck thru streamer would’ve been better comparison?
