- JetBlue is launching a pair of Lounges in 2025, and to gain entry, they're also launching a premium Credit Card that will allow access. No word on what that card will look like, but JetBlue pushing to a more premium product is a welcome sight.

JetBlue is my airline. I hope this works out for them. Everytime I ride with them IT'S NEVER A PROBLEM. Thank you Matt. Great job as always 👍🏿
Thank you! I’m hoping these help. I like JetBlue I just wish they flew more places.
I knew if I was too lazy to read the article, you would make a video. JetBlue taking some big steps here, I hope it all is as good as it sounds. Thanks Matt!
Thanks for watching PhilMo! Had to do something on this one. Even if it’s niche viewing.
Let’s go baby! Love when BOS gets something new.
Do you think it will be with the same issuer?
90%. But could be wrong.
JB needs to blitz and also add lounges at EWR and somewhere in FL (MCO? FLL? Both??) In 2025. They can gain market share, those locations are lacking lounges.
I’m cheering for JetBlue to be successful because I like their Mint product. I just wish they hadn’t cut back their flight schedule at my home airport.
Hopefully these moves help return to profitability and your nearby skies!
The JetBlue annual fee credit card was already very good so an even better improved one should be even better. The more lounges the better.
Agreed all around
Great update Matt, exciting news & I'll surely be speculating about what the premium card will look like these coming days.
I look forward to it! I do wish another issuer was getting the premium card. But. I also never thought they’d do one. Thanks Monty!
Thanks for the info + video!
Thank you Jimmy!
Thanks, Matt. FTA!
Thank you!!!
Very interesting news!
I’ll take it
Sucks it’s through Barclays haha, they are worse than Chase LOL.
Yeah…we’ll see what they do. I wouldn’t mind JetBlue rehabbing and bolting to Wells…
Barclays is THEEE WORST.
JetBlue really needs to merge with Alaska to form a credible competitor to the big 4. Both of those two are stuck in a weird limbo state of trying to offer something close to a full service legacy airline experience while not really having the scale to compete. Different aircraft types but the complementary route networks and gate spaces would be a solid foundation to build from.
I can agree on a merger for sure. But I don’t know that it would be Alaska again at this point. I could see a return to a Spirit pick up for the planes and slots.
@@MattClausenI could see Spirit again, but only if Trump is elected in November and we get a different regulatory environment. A Harris administration would probably be very similar to the Biden regulatory environment that rejected JetBlue-Spirit the first time around.
An Alaska merger has the advantage of both airlines being LCCs but not ULCCs and having very little route overlap at present. It seems like it would be more likely to lower prices for consumers by providing a better competitor to the Big 4 rather than taking away a ULCC value player like Spirit, which in turn would make it easier to get through regulators.
I hope for those we have a credit card we can just upgrade to the premium one or idk how that will work
I’m sure we’ll find out. I hold the business only right now
95% sure im going to go for the credit card given JetBlue’s track record.
Also, what if JetBlue issues the card with other bank?
I’d LOVE for it to be Wells. But I’m probably going for it regardless
@@MattClausen fair. I mean, I can see that given how Amex, Citi, and Chase have the Big Three. Though Amex has worked with JetBlue in the past and they are known for their luxury cards. It’s a thought haha.
@@MattClausen haha. I feel it. Though it would make sense given how Wells is swinging for the fences and the Big Three are with Chase Amex and Citi. Though when I think about it, Chase also has Southwest. I can see JetBlue going with Amex given their previous relationship, and the fact that Amex does have a track record with luxury cards.
Hey got any thoughts on the refreshed Bestwestern credit cards?
Coming soon. Weird issuing partner. Digging in.
@MattClausen thank you, it seems like other youtubers are avoiding this card for some reason. Almost everyone has been quite about it.
I’m gonna need Southwest to open a lounge so me, Uncle Luke, Aunt Connie, Adam J and his kids can all sit down to watch our NASCAR races 😂. In all seriousness, I don’t fly JetBlue but the more lounges the better 🫱🏿🫲🏾
Hahaha great references! Yeah I’m for more lounges so this is (greedily) awesome.
