5.0s are awesome cars if you wanna have some fun, like there are better options for racing. But if you just wanna be loud and have a good time 450 hp is plenty.
I agree unless its under 70 degrees out. The ford pcm will pull timing once the IAT temps get to hot / starts knocking. Here in Florida on a 90+ degree day with heat index at 110+ 10-12 psi be pushing it on 93. Your so right about e85. Sick Civic SI this is from a 2012 Mustang owner if it matters.
@@theredninja2953 I actually own both a Civic as daily drive and the stang as my toy car. But still crazy to see how much power can comes out from Honda engines.
Idk if it matters all that much but I daily drive my FK8 bone stock, only thing I have done and is 100% worth it is the 82A rear motor mount. NO more wheel hop, car feels increasingly planted, and just overall the shifting and driving experience is a true drivers car! Highly recommend 💯

@@don_huzanNah, the bigger and laggier the turbo is the more you need to wait for the torque to build as the turbo builds pressure. Also turbo cars aren't flat power bands in general so torque can change by 30-50% just by being in a different part of the RPM band. And of course, N/A throttle response is always superior to forced induction.
@@Vermonstered you’d be absolutely 1000% correct if he was running a turbo. He’s running a whipple supercharger. A whipple is similar to a turbo in the sense that it pulls in fresh air like a turbo on a pre cat or a dump pipe, but it’ll still be running off the engine’s belts so it’s not a big deal like a turbo. It’s instant - based on throttle.
@@don_huzan Incorrect, as with any forced induction you're closing a valve (waste gate or blow off), building pressure beyond ambient, up to whatever the limiting valve allows. It's all no where near as instant or linear throttle control as naturally aspirated. Just like drive by wire is slower than cable controlled throttle bodies. Forced induction will always suffer from the need to build pressure from vacuum and the torque curve will generally never be designed to be as flat as naturally aspirated. This is why all forced induction cars drive dramatically differently than naturally aspirated.
I learned to drive manual in a mustang GT, what exactly is wild about it? If anything it made it easier to drive other cars since the clutch was much heavier
I've got the 62a hasport mounts all around and with the hybrid racing short shifter the shifts are super crispy! There is no engine movement at all! Legit!
