      Do you know why my 275 cam bike is slower then my stock cam bike??? both same gearing. Do i upgrade my 1:1 rockers?? Cuz i thought i didn't need too.

      @@MrLopez-lm4jk hmmm really? Its a bigger cam so you may need to upgrade valve springs and or more fuel and air so you might need a bigger carb

      It has alot of lift so you may need stiffer valve springs.

    Whenever you swap cams you should check and adjust the valve lash.

    Is it safe to swap the cam and use on stock internal parts or is your piston and rod after market ? Also did you use heavier valve springs thanks

    • @Guido19

      I have after market everything lol!! I’m completely building this motor but it’s perfectly fine just to change out the cam as long as the cam isn’t too aggressive.

    What about push rod length ? Which one is the right one . I went with stiffer springs and upgraded champion rocker arms .

    • @Guido19
      @Guido19  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It really depends. The cam that I installed in here is good for the stock length pushrods as it’s not too aggressive with the lift. If you get one that has a high aggressive lift then you will need different ones and the cam should tell you on the instructions or you can do some research. With the different rockers you should be good with the stock length I believe if your using a stock cam.

    • @Guido19
      @Guido19  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You probably could but me personally I would just spend a little more and get a billet rod at least. $60 more cause possibly save your motor. You should be fine tho as long as your carful and don’t get on it to crazy

    I made the mistake of tightening my side cover bolts down too much and stripped a bolt hole. I didn't think it mattered much and went for a ride and once that pressure inside built up from outta nowhere i hear a popping sound and looked down to see what it was and all i see is Oil pouring outta the bottom of the side cover like Niagra Falls. I still haven't fixed that bolt hole yet but when i put the bolt back in again i used Red Loctite on it and it has held up so far but i either gotta rethread the hole or get a new block. I've stripped several holes on my engine in different spots besides the side cover so i dunno why they make these engines so freaking weak that it's so easy to strip them. You want the bolts to be good and tight but at the same time just a little too tight and it strips and you have a bolt that doesn't tighten down all the way and just spins and spins and spins. I hate that !! Maybe i got a defective engine lol.

    • @Guido19
      @Guido19  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lmaooo man that sucks bro. Yeah I agree. They are very weak lol. I stripped like 2 on the valve cover lol!

      @@Guido19 Yeah i stripped 2 of the valve cover bolt holes too. I think the valve cover holes are the easiest to strip. Makes me afreaid to torque any of them down to spec cause i keep thinking they'll strip lol.

      I’m not sure. I would say the process would be pretty similar for sure though. There just might be different sized bolts on the side cover.
