    I have the exact tiger 800 xRt (blue) since 2019 with 20k+ km, and I love this bike, not even thinking of selling it. Works great in the city and touring. Greetings from Mexico City!

    A great review indeed. I love the way you have sectioned it according to what a rider is looking for in this motorcycle. This indeed helps my decision between XRX and XCA

    If I may add a small correction: I have Tiger and early summer did a 3000 km trip with a friend with Africa Twin, we rode the same roads, same conditions and same speed. From this experience I can say that every time we fuelled the quantity was EXACTLY the same or within 50 ml difference for 15 litres which does not make a difference.

    good lord it looks even better than always. And sounds better than before! :) If I didn't like something about the previous, it was the constant whistle of the engine, this has it as well, but from what I heard mainly on idle.

    Triumph bikes just look to made of the upmost quality than any other manufacturer. I’ve never been much for this segment of bikes but this bike looks great

    I took the Tiger 800 on a test ride and noticed quite a bit of heat coming off the engine even after a pretty mild ride in 60d F weather. Not sure how bad it will get when it's hot out. That's my only complaint, I love the bike and hope to get one soon.

    • @ecirlos4601
      @ecirlos4601 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, a guy is selling one of those over here in Texas and he mentioned the same thing. The heat coming out the engine, specially in our weather of 100degrees Fahrenheit.

    Thank you, great review.
    I am trying to decide to get the Triumph Tiger 800 XRT or the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT and each time I see a review of either I tilt the scale to that one.
    I had a test drive on both and they felt very similar to me.
    Do you have any comments on comparing them?
    Regards from Gran Canaria.

      When you ride a twin after the triple it is like going back in time , the triple is wayyyyy better, so smooth no vibration , Tiger or GS no contest I have ridden both a lot ,I bought the Tiger .

    • @Bannister99
      @Bannister99 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is what totally puts me off - I currently have a 2014 GS and it has plenty of low down torque that I'm worried I'd miss if switching to the Tiger 800.

    • @RetroBiker
      @RetroBiker 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      more than adequate low down torque on the Tiger as well. You'll never know unless you ride one. I've ridden GS, 800 and 1200 Tigers; GS was bottom of the list for me :)

    • @Bannister99
      @Bannister99 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just looking at the specs. Tiger 800 ‎79 Nm @ 7,850 rpm, R1200GS 125Nm @ 6,500 rpm.

    Seeing you standing next to the bike I have to ask how tall are you and your inseam? I’ve always wanted an XC being a dirt rider but having a 28” inseam it’s just not practical as I can’t touch comfortably to dab my foot in the dirt or walk the bike in a parking lot. The XRT fits great though. Any opinion on this model vs the mid tier XRX from a feature vs price best value perspective?

    • @JFMotorcycles
      @JFMotorcycles  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there... I would truly like to help, but I am not having the proper answer in my head. I would need to study the details of the versions and then do some math... I enjoyed all the luxury of the highest version, but I could live without it. The biggest upgrade on XRT seems the suspension and it is difficult for me to compare as I haven't ridden the XRX. Some more riding modes or heated saddle I could sacrifice for sure. Central stand can be bought aftermarket easily and it is very important when touring with side bags.

    Only bike I'd rate above it is the Guzzi 85tt with the shaft drive - no chain to oil or adjust.

    • @JFMotorcycles
      @JFMotorcycles  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Strong point. It is embarrassing to keep adjusting and cleaning the chain all the time. Good point.

    Enjoyed the review and like the bike. As you said a twin would be my preference. Shame Triumph don't do a version using the Bonneville engine, or would that be the Scrambler?

    • @JFMotorcycles
      @JFMotorcycles  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Only thing realted to this which is coming to my mind is that it is clear that Triumph is working on 1200 cc Scrambler. This may be something interesting. I can't wait to review one :)) Thanks for comment.

    Do you find that this bike will dive when applying brakes suddenly?

    • @JFMotorcycles
      @JFMotorcycles  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Let me think... I don't think it was anything unusual. There is inverted fork and not that high front suspension travel, so this was not an issue.

    hello my name is Francisco and I live in Brazil. Congratulations on the video, I really enjoyed it and look forward to the arrival of this new generation of Tiger here. Which camera did you use in the shoot ?? Perfect image!!!

    • @JFMotorcycles
      @JFMotorcycles  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Francisco. Nice to hear someone from Brazil and thank you. In this video I used more cameras and technologies. There a few Drone shots in the beginning (DJI Mavic Pro). In the first section where I describe the bike I use a camera Sony A7 and then when I ride I used two GoPro 6. GoPro 6 are basically most important for me... their stabilization is awesome.
