I dont really think it does ruin his channel in any way, atleast if he continues to only do the type of stuff he does atm. I mean, this is a ad-type of video, but it doesnt change the quality of his "normal" videos. But idk, thats just my opinion.
I just built my own rig recently and I'm happy with it. Also more happy that it's my second build. Intel i7 6700k Nvidia GTX 1070 32gb of ram and so on :)
Note that the prices in the UK are elevated by default. So you should compare to 870$ because electronics are cheaper in the US. (assuming you are from the US). Then it is quite a good value.
Has almost nothing to do with brexit. it's to do with import fees, tariffs and shipping costs. You can check price graphs on pcpartpicker - literally fuck all has changed post brexit.
Last year Jack did a thing kinda like this and he told you how to build it. it cost about £400. It was my first time building a rig and it worked like a dream. I have upgraded it with a beefy GTX 1070 and a i7 over the year and I have fallen for my rig. Love PC gaming and what it has to offer and thank you Jack for showing me the way and if anyone is thinking about buying this rig as they're 1st ... just do it. you wont regret.
Yes and no. If you want to build a rig from scratch, it is not far-fetched. I am in the process of assembling a very similar setup with 1060 and i56600, and it is going to cost around the same mark. If you're upgrading, just buy the card, and in that case, this video is not meant for those upgrading just the GPU.
This type of video marks one of the many other reasons why I've been watching you since your BF3 Short Movie times. You're a great player but you're also just a really good guy behind the keyboard and mouse or controller. You provide great, insightful commentary on all your videos. You've also always been really awesome to your community and your subscribers and have been a really great part of the battlefield/EA community. Love you and keep making great content dude.
no way on earth it runs BF1 that smooth after the patch. Proof: fps counter says 120 when locking vsync in a 60hz monitor. Why would you double the framerate in BF1 footage?
Stealhelm Well you can upgrade pretty much what you want in a PC like this. Wanna an i7? buy it and put it on the socket. Wanna play 4K games? buy a 1080 and put it in the pcie. Same for better storage, better audio card and so on. The only thing that isn't upgradable is RAM, but you could buy one single 8GB dimm to have the possibility to add another and have 16GB dual channel
Doing the Phantom Program in BF4 made me discover you Jack, and was some of the most fun, frustrating, and rewarding gaming experience in recent memory. Excellent name choice.
I've been checking out budget builds for BF1 lately. You can get yourself a 2nd gen i5 system, already built for ~$200. Upgrade to SSD, more ram, and a GTX 1060 to put yourself at about $450-500 for the full build and be able to run Ultra settings without going below 60 fps.
i just built my pc last friday its a beauty its main components are a i7 4 core cpu at 4.0 ghz, 16 gb of DDR4 RAM, MSI Radeon RX 480 Gaming x with 8 gb of DDR5 VRAM, and a 650w PSU
Nice this is basically what I built in January as my first ever PC (im 29, took me a while) I have a 970 though, Planning on saving up for a 1080 next year, Great Channel, Battlefield 1 is potentially my GOTY
With just the conversion you are at arround the same price, but you forget that there are a lot of import costs. It's just shit if you want to buy hardware in Europe
So I put together the exact build but with one 8gb stick of ram for expansion and I put in windows ten fro the hell of it and it was under $900 usd, that's why you go on partpicker not just one site. Just for comparison this build with the added benefit of it being prebuilt, is ~$1088 usd.
Moving to PC from ps4 this christmas. This seems great as the world of building a pc is daunting for someone with little to no real knowledge. I don't have the time to learn everything about building a perfect pc, so this appears amazing for me. I have a 144HZ monitor right now i use with the PS4 so already sorted there. A video about peripherals from you would be great, e.g keyboard, mouse, mouse pads. That sort of stuff. Cheers
TB GAMING cough it's not overpriced cough the coolers fine as it's not overclocked and would run fine temps. Cough you probably think your £400 build saved on pcpartpicker will run your minecraft super smooth. COUGH
actually did a pcpartpicker check, uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/pCf4BP , (changing the case to a 350D, mind you). Could do a little better (spec-wise) with that price, but it's not overpriced, just poor chosen.
living wage not higher in london at all. plenty minimum wage workers working in pretty much every shop you go in. rent and business rates being so high never going to get a raise
I'm a Mac user, hold the hate please, and was wondering why somebody would or should pay £140 for windows 10 instead of buying a OEM key for only £20 online instead?
Just want to say Congrats man .. love your content ... you have easily become my most watched TH-camr .. not many people on youtube have me waiting for there next videos .. you deserve all of this mate (y)
Pretty solid system Jack, surprised by the numbers there. All I'd have done differently is added a cheap £20-£25 cpu cooler to keep the cpu fan noise down a bit.
To me this seems a pretty good deal. My pc that i built earlier this year is pretty similar to this except i have a gtx970 and 16 gig of ddr4 ram (i do some graphics design stuff so more ram is a necessity), a larger 480gb ssd and a h170 mb and it cost me exactly the same as this if you convert it to NZD and i got my parts 25% off. It could just be that pc parts are more expensive here then the UK though.
He is trying to say for that price range, water cooler should be an option. Imo the cpu cooler installed in the pc is pretty lame for the price, so even a better air cooler would do
only thing i'd change is the 240GB SSD. I run windows on a 500GB SSD and its quite some micro management. Remaining parts are a great way to start, i'd never go below 2000£ again, using it for games and work tho.
I think a 15 Euros aftermarket cooler would definitely look better in the case, but then again you wont do much overclocking on I5 6500 and H class motherboard (although you can do a bit).I also understand thats a 15 Euros saved on a budget build. Nice system Jack, appreciate you doing this for the people that dont understand HW so much:)
Brand doesnt matter when it comes to powersupplies and the Corsair VS-series is not ideal from a reliability and electrical performance standpoint. If you do a version 2 of this PC consider putting in a *grey labeled* (very important since those are the newer models) Corsair CX550 instead.
Really nice pc, would prefer it, however, if it had a custom CPU cooler. It doesnt need to be an expensive one, but just something that isn't a stock cooler
Very nice system! Although I personally would at least want 16GB of RAM and the i5 6600k for overclocking. But, this is a solid "starter" gaming PC that should do well for anyone that buys it!
This pc is solid! though its not really cheaper than building yourself (atleast not where i live) But its a really good alternative, and good component choices
You know when you forget where Jackfrags is from and you get excited. Then you go go to the website and obviously it's in Pounds. with that currency conversion I would be spending double.
Very good setup and looks really powerful however i think that would be out of most people budget range! Try doing something round the budget of 400. Still was good anyway!
Jack, I have been watching you for a few months now love your bf content!! Your PC videos are cool too, you should check out the Pascal laptops. Keep up the great work!!
This is for people getting into pc that don't know how to build one so this is great for me! :D xmas is coming soon might have to see if i can get one myself ;)
You're playing a risky game Jack, don't let advertising ruin you.
what? lol
21st Century True, pay attention Jack.
21st Century what do you mean, he's just turning into a company pusher instead being a genuine youtuber?
I dont really think it does ruin his channel in any way, atleast if he continues to only do the type of stuff he does atm. I mean, this is a ad-type of video, but it doesnt change the quality of his "normal" videos. But idk, thats just my opinion.
olly hp if you have morals, you would!
Best I can do is 300 bucks
Im taking a big risk here
Don't worry. I guess it'll do for now but try to get the rest before monday. You don't wanna stress my patience.
I have to call an expert just to be sure
i bought ASUS STRIX RX 480 and works like a charm
Why do you have to call an expert?
Yeah but can I run Minesweeper and Solitaire at 10 FPS?
Mr. DragonPig no to demanding
mate you only need 24 fps stop being greedy
You guys are joking bout this but that was literally how my PC ran bout 3 months ago😂
Lazer Lord13 wtf r u talking about? 24fps is ugly af
David O'Reilly mine can't even start it up
it's almost $1000 USD, that's breaking the bank in my opinion lol.
$1000 USD for those specs is bank breaking, you could build a better system yourself for 1000.
You should look at other pc's prices bahahaha talk about breaking the bank
You have no idea what you are talking about
It's not
You can get a pc with solid 60fps for 500-600$USD just get a 1050ti and an i3
really love the PC jack. only if I could buy it 😥
same
Apoorv Gahlot its ok im poor too
Apoorv Gahlot i can afford the PC but i cant afford a good monitor, good headphones and a good mouse with it ;-;
xXxDayzProxXx u don't need a good mouse
MaxMental_17 I do if i want the best experience. Also my current mouse is like a 5€ mouse with wire half broken so its a good time to get a new one :P
I just built my own rig recently and I'm happy with it. Also more happy that it's my second build.
Intel i7 6700k
Nvidia GTX 1070
32gb of ram
and so on :)
ok....
32gb ram for gaming = overkill
why stop at 32? did you run out of slots? sound like you have a shitty motherboard
fragSync 32 gigabytes of ram necessary for... bragging
An xD meme Or maybe for photo/video editing or maybe music production...
1000$ and only a 1060 yeah no.
It's the UK, shit costs way more here, plus keep in mind that Brexit cucked the USD to GBP conversion rate
TakeNRG Still not that much mate. Building will always be cheaper
It's cool that you've gotten into sponsorships to customize and promote gaming equipment from your own perspective. Great opportunity.
2.000.000

i feel like this is top comment material...

for a 1060 paying almost £900 seems a little far fetched ?
Yes and no. If you want to build a rig from scratch, it is not far-fetched. I am in the process of assembling a very similar setup with 1060 and i56600, and it is going to cost around the same mark. This PC is a blatant ripoff
Nope. This is a build of a friend of mine's and its marginally less
uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/zDWH8K
i just built my pc with the same parts and same gpu and ssd for £670 with a better case
Darkerkiller bullshit. pcpartpicker it then
This type of video marks one of the many other reasons why I've been watching you since your BF3 Short Movie times. with you dude, legit bullshit
Thank you so much Jack, I've been looking every where for a new affordable PC and you just helped me out.
Now we only need an upgrading program for it and we can call it the "phantom program".
+Italian Tech Geek I think the joke flew over your head. =/
Doing the Phantom Program in BF4 made me discover you Jack, and was some of the most fun, frustrating, and rewarding gaming experience in recent memory. Excellent name choice.
One day, I'll play a gaming pc
sure you will
ayo did you get one yet?
I've been checking out budget builds for BF1 lately. You can get yourself a 2nd gen i5 system, already built for ~$200. Upgrade to SSD, more ram, and a GTX 1060 to put yourself at about $450-500 for the full build and be able to run Ultra settings without going below 60 fps.
I'm gonna save you time: it costs 869.99 pounds, roughly 1000 euros
that usb stick is a awsoome ideal all other pc manufacturers need to get in line .... way to go jack
137 for win10???? what??? buy separately without s.o. and are 807!!!
exactly
I just watched the 1080 video card bid from 5 months ago and u was like I'd like to see jacks PC, aaaand here you go
tfw youre early and no one cares
I care.
I dont.
Bestmailbox you live a sad life then
that can be your opinion
I care ;)
i just built my pc last friday its a beauty its main components are a i7 4 core cpu at 4.0 ghz, 16 gb of DDR4 RAM, MSI Radeon RX 480 Gaming x with 8 gb of DDR5 VRAM, and a 650w PSU
In America that price would be a complete ripoff.
Nice this is basically what I built in January as my first ever PC (im 29, took me a while) I have a 970 though, Planning on saving up for a 1080 next year, Great Channel, Battlefield 1 is potentially my GOTY
hey can someone tell me which one is better
1. this pc
2. linus holiday pc under 1000$
Bahar Meahey Linus's PC
Bahar Meahey Linus definitely
Tom T-C what's a good 500-600 pic?
Spencer hedgpeth
thanks for the info
With just the conversion you are at arround the same price, but you forget that there are a lot of import costs.
It's just shit if you want to buy hardware in Europe
Hey Jack, 2 Million soon.. let's make a pre party. You are hands down one of the best @youtube gaming.
So I put together the exact build but with one 8gb stick of ram for expansion and I put in windows ten fro the hell of it and it was under $900 usd, that's why you go on partpicker not just one site. Just for comparison this build with the added benefit of it being prebuilt, is ~$1088 usd.
Prices where you live are so much different from the UK.
$900 usd is ~ 720 pounds/$1088 usd is ~ 870.4 pounds
you should get rid of that stock cooler tho. There is alot of cheap alternatives.
Cheers
is basicaly like lego watch a pc build its real easy
As long as you follow the instructions you'll be fine. I built my very first PC ~3 months ago and it's going great.
Cough... overpriced...Cough.... shit CPU cooler..cough
TB GAMING cough it's not overpriced cough the coolers fine as it's not overclocked and would run fine temps. Cough you probably think your £400 build saved on pcpartpicker will run your minecraft super smooth. COUGH
Screwhead GTA_Addict Cough..I ...Cough ....already...cough..have mine out...
actually did a pcpartpicker check, uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/pCf4BP , (changing the case to a 350D, mind you). Could do a little better (spec-wise) with that price, but it's not overpriced, just poor chosen.
Rilelelele Still why use the stock one if you can get a better one
Felipe Graziuso Also you don't need to have the Asus gtx 1060 its actually not that good
This video basically confirmed that the pc I'm about to get (i5 7600, gtx 1060 6gb g1 & 16gb ram) will perform very well. Cheers Jack!
mb should have been a b150 instead for 4 ram slots
well I use that though. mine almost same as that spec
thank you jack i have been trying to find a new PC for a long time and this is the one :)
Not gonna break the bank , we aren't all from London
No he probably means he can build the pc for cheaper.
tom mackechnie hahahaha
living wage not higher in london at all. plenty minimum wage workers working in pretty much every shop you go in. rent and business rates being so high never going to get a raise
what ???? its the complete opposite... He is saying that 870 is not breaking the bank to people in London...
Jack isn't even from London... He's clearly from Birmingham-ish (a VERY working class city.)
nearly 2 mill congratz, you have deserved it
27 seconds and 50 likes wow
1.9 millions subs
2 million subscribers, can't wait for the JackFrags dank memes
I'm a Mac user, hold the hate please, and was wondering why somebody would or should pay £140 for windows 10 instead of buying a OEM key for only £20 online instead?
Because you OEM doesn't give you the same privileges that a consumer copy does
more privileges in microsoft annoying you with updates and spying?
The internet is really fuzzy on this topic it's kinda annoying. Can you complete all the same functions or does the OEM key limit its uses severely?
william macdonald what is a oem key?
original equipment manufacturer key
wow jack this is a god send man my comp is shitting it self from oldness and this sound like a very good solution to my problems i think il buy it
Cheaper than if you get your own parts? No, it really isn't...
Getting Close to 2,000,000 Sub's. Gratz 👍
hello its me
Oscar Lakhdar gyggggg
I was wondering if after all these years youd like to meet
Just want to say Congrats man .. love your content ... you have easily become my most watched TH-camr .. not many people on youtube have me waiting for there next videos .. you deserve all of this mate (y)
2.000.000!
Seems decent and really looking to get into PC gaming again. Need to move and get more space but then I will definitely look this up next year.
450 watt power supply ? i have a 630
@ ITALY
Philippe van Heek Youre dump. 500w is enough for new i5+ 1070. buying more W is just marketing
With modern CPUs and GPUs you won't need more.
700w, i won
@ITALY
alex s. Darwin award winner with that difference 50-100€ you could get a better cpu, or gpu for yourself
depends on if you care about efficiency or not- most PSUs are most power efficient at ~50% usage
Pretty solid system Jack, surprised by the numbers there. All I'd have done differently is added a cheap £20-£25 cpu cooler to keep the cpu fan noise down a bit.
I still work minimum wage :(
Happy almost 2million subs Jack
"good deal"
Nearly at 2M! Well done Jack, I love your channel :D
you call that budget?
No, its a medium end PC
preforms like a budget and priced like a midrange... nice
performs like a budget? It's getting 90~ fps on high graphics on recent releases.
this thing kills any budget build on youtube .
Very nice budget system. Thanks Jack
aaaaand thats what im getting for christmas, lets go boys
congrats on 2 mil jack :)
The system looks great jack keep the good quality videos up
To me this seems a pretty good deal.
£870 for a PC that isn't even water cooled? Fuck that
JumpingJellyMan why do you need water cooling? Today the GPU is doing most of the work. you don't need fancy cooling
He is trying to say for that price range, water cooler should be an option. Imo the cpu cooler installed in the pc is pretty lame for the price, so even a better air cooler would do
actually, for that price you could get a 6600k and upgrade that piece with a decent water cooler or a good air cooler
fan cooling works just fine lol
My graphics card cost more then ur computer.
Should be a fan on the back of the case to direct air. That's really the only thing I'd change.
I am looking to get into this. Thanks jack I'm buying this for Christmas
Jack, you're awesome. Keep up the amazing work!
only thing i'd change is the 240GB SSD. I run windows on a 500GB SSD and its quite some micro management.
Remaining parts are a great way to start, i'd never go below 2000£ again, using it for games and work tho.
I love this idea. You should do stuff likke this once a year!
10:43 I love the way Jack says "stuff" it's pretty funny
I'd kill for a pc like this at the moment.
£869 is a bloody good price for this system! Would so upgrade to this if I could.
So close to 2 million now!!
JACK I'VE BEN SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANEL FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS AN MAN IM JUST NOW GETTING A GAMMING PC AN IM BUY ING YOURS IN 2 WEEKS!!! from America!
I just built my first gaming PC about a month ago and it's almost identical, excluding the case and SSD, but it cost me $2600. I'm from Canada btw
YOU ARE SO CLOSE TO 2.000.000/2 MIL!
Good luck! :)
Seems like a missed opportunity that your logo isn't there. It definitely would've added to the collector's value for a fan of your channel!
Excellent video as always @jackfrags.
Happy thanksgiving Jack! And everybody else too, hope you have a great time with your family! Btw Jack how many PCs are they for sale?
Brand doesnt matter when it comes to powersupplies and the Corsair VS-series is not ideal from a reliability and electrical performance standpoint. If you do a version 2 of this PC consider putting in a *grey labeled* (very important since those are the newer models) Corsair CX550 instead.
This has to be the best budget build🙌
soon at 2 mil jack! keep up the good work
Really nice pc, would prefer it, however, if it had a custom CPU cooler. It doesnt need to be an expensive one, but just something that isn't a stock cooler
I'm proud to say that after dozens of hours I am now somewhat close to Jack in CS:GO skill.
Very nice system! Although I personally would at least want 16GB of RAM and the i5 6600k for overclocking. But, this is a solid "starter" gaming PC that should do well for anyone that buys it!
BF1 looks so good even at low settings.... Wouldn't even be mad if I couldn't go ultra.
Gratz on an early 2 mil subs!
1.9995 million subs jack, keep it going
This pc is solid!
though its not really cheaper than building yourself (atleast not where i live)
But its a really good alternative, and good component choices
jack your a beast laddie. plz keep it up 👍👍
My best TH-camr to me
You know when you forget where Jackfrags is from and you get excited. Then you go go to the website and obviously it's in Pounds. with that currency conversion I would be spending double.
Very good setup and looks really powerful however i think that would be out of most people budget range! Try doing something round the budget of 400. Still was good anyway!
scan black friday deals are live now...GO GO GO
Jack,
I have been watching you for a few months now love your bf content!! Your PC videos are cool too, you should check out the Pascal laptops. Keep up the great work!!
Yes! You're back with tech videos. I subscribed to you because tech :)
I am currently very hapoy with my budget build :) it has:
i7 6700k
128gb ddr4 ram
4x titan X sli
Etc.
Lmao ok fam 128gb RAM with a 6700k and 4 Titan X's, nice meme.
No i7 6950? dude you have a potatoe
I though that would be your computer what you use gaming but then this is gaming pc named Jackfrags :p
System is great jack keep the good quality videos.
how does red dead redemption 2 runs on it?
ThM Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, are you trying to make an insult?
We'll find out in late 2018 probably
It's runs 1 fps
Shots fired!
What are you talking about??? Red Dead Redemption comes out fall 2017
I'd have gone for 16Gb RAM; other than that, it's solid for the price bracket!
This is for people getting into pc that don't know how to build one so this is great for me! :D xmas is coming soon might have to see if i can get one myself ;)
Like the PC more or less and I can attest to the gpu being a good bang for your buck as I own the same one in one of my systems.
