That first story is crazy because statistically, men won’t even wait til their partner has even taken their last breath before they start another relationship, ruining bonds and tearing things apart on their own. WILD!
What I immediately thought of in the first story is that this guy could turn very darl, very fast. Get any guns out of the house. He sounds at risk for killing all you his family, then himself
i think it’s sweet you guys are aware of trying not to make someone think you’re following them lmao you’ve probably saved some people a lot of anxiety
Bro, if your husband is hurting your kids, your kids come first. They always come first. Edit: Surprised John didn't mention that it's not okay to disclose disabilities to other employees at all.
Where I live, if I'd been in Sienna's place with the "I wonder what you have under that dress", I would have been in my full right to call the person out and ask them to leave. Because here, we don't look kindly on that sort of stuff. It doesn't matter if you're a paying customer, if you do stuff like that, you'll be asked to leave, and the staff are allowed to clap back (within reason without risking any repercussions, because they are human and have rights, one of which is to defend themselves). Sometimes, other customers will get involved on the behalf of the staff. I've done that. Some lady (I want to say 50-60 maybe) was being hella rude to one of the servers at one of my favorite restaurants. I called her out on it, and she demanded for the manager/owner to kick me out. But he asked her to leave. He then offered to have my meal for free (I hadn't ordered yet), and I said that wasn't necessary, but he insisted. He also called me out (since I was a regular) and told me to not get the cheapest thing on the menu (which I'd always do if someone else was paying for me, even as a treat. Yes, I was there that often 😅). So yeah, I was pretty much strongarmed into getting a free meal 😂
Sienna is so chill, if i hear a man talking literally ANYTHING next to me when im alone in the street, i'm already running away as fast i can, no looking back
When I worked at FedEx I was 24 yrs old and this 45-50ish yr old man would hit on all the young women there. He once told me that he’d love to have a “wife like me” and he would always try to brag about going to the casino and any winnings he might have had. It was uncomfortable needless to say.
An old co-worker of mine used to compliment me on my "gym body" and his cubicle was across from mine so I just felt him staring all the time. I don't understand why they can't contain their weird thoughts.
When I was 22-24, me and three of my friends worked at a large office building in phone customer service. And this 50ish guy would hit on us *every single day*!! He would lean on our cubicles, make comments about our lunches (“that burger will go straight to your hips” or “that salad is a wise choice”), he would try to get us to feel his bicep and invite us to the gym with him. He would lick his lips and lean close to us and claim that he just couldn’t hear very well so he needed to be close to us. Well, after a year and a half of being harassed and ignored by management, my one friend had had enough and got herself promoted to a manager and fired him. She went to all 80something women on the floor and got statements from them about his harassment and fired him her second day as manager. Other managers were upset about it, but she had a stack of papers and said, “you can have 80 lawsuits or lose this one employee; your choice.” As cliché as it is, every single woman cheered when he was walked about by security. Well, if every woman was harassed, how did he get away with it for so long? Because, we were told commenting about our lunches isn’t harassment, leaning too close (and touching our backs) isn’t harassment, “being friendly” isn’t harassment, being repeatedly asked out isn’t harassment, talking about “fitness” (ie, our bodies) isn’t harassment, telling our Muslim coworker she shouldn’t feel so oppressed and just not wear her hajab (because he’d tell her how beautiful she is) isn’t harassment, talking about relationships (ie, girls he wanted to have sec with) isn’t harassment, and his brother being in management didn’t help either.
John and I were having the same reactions to these HR horror stories. I cannot believe these happened and hope those employees found a shark of a lawyer 😂
One of my... what did my friend call it... "sinful indulgences" is my own keyboard 😅 Personally, I call it oddly satisfying, but to each their own. It's a mechanical RGB keyboard, and I downloaded a setting for the lighting that I really like, it's a "ripple effect" from the key you press. So sometimes I'll just sit and write something and just watch my keyboard 😅
Because of this HR story, I’m going to see if I can sue the last place that fired me. Because I’m pretty sure it was illegal and I want revenge. I want revenge so badly.
Defenestrate - to throw a person specifically a person out a window. I learned that word recently when all those Russian dissenters were "falling" out windows. 😬.
I have been subjected to awful treatment in professional environments probably because I’m a smart and driven woman. I got called every name in the book. I was belittled for doing more work than everyone else. I was mistreated daily and just dealt with it. Now I wouldn’t deal with that. Now I’ve grown a backbone. If I see any of them around town ever again, I’m going to jail lol
Canadian hospice RN here. Wanted to comment on the terminally ill father story. I find it sad how most commenters on TT resorted to divorce right away… when these situations are way more complex than we realize. Not to mention divorce might just add more trauma to the kids. FOR SURE therapy to the mom and kids. If the husband is part of palliative care/hospice they may be able to help figure out if this is more existential suffering or if this is paranoia related to medicine or brain metastasis (I.e. the cancer going to the brain). Unfortunately delirium can happen a lot when someone is terminal for a number of reasons (dehydration, bladder infection etc). And delirium can show up in weird ways, like someone being paranoid, seeming “crazy”, or even just being too awake at night versus the day. In terms of what to do in the immediate time, this is when we usually recommend the husband go to hospital so they can get a full work up. And that way it will be faster to find a therapist for the family too. I can see how the wife would feel totally helpless! My heart goes out to them as a family and I so hope that they can get support. ❤
I think the first lady has posted about this years earlier, or dying people are just so similar sometimes. The other sotry the oldest of the kids was ten and it was around six years earlier and he was abusing her and telling her he was ruining her for remarriage and poisoning the kids against any future would be spouse for her. People advised her to leave but she wouldn't, she wouldn't even consider separating the kids from that kind of psychological and spiritual abuse. This story is also almost exactly the same but the kids are older and its years later. In East Africa, we have this thing translated into being 'envy for the living' where basically people dying too soon get jealous of the people that will outlive them and hurt them or ruin their lives as they go. The first time I heard about it was back when I was really young and anteretrovirals weren't yet a thing around here so HIV/AIDS was a death sentence. Infected people would just be so angry and actively spread the disease in the years and months leading up to their death. But I still see it as an adult amongst cancer patients where a previously mellow dude friend of mine kept calling for mass r@pe of women and genocide of Muslims in his last days, he also treated his wife and step daughter horribly accusing them of things and just other awful things. This is the first time I'm hearing of it in a Western culture as a regular thing but I assure you thing like these happen and they ruin the lives of all involved after they're gone.
Random side note about the word Defenistrate, the word is used more often to describe the weird history of Prague throwing politicians out windows as an execution style. It only happened three times but yknow…
Backstory: So, my father passed away not so long ago, 2022, April 20th at 11.10. My father had only just turned 55, my mom was only 51 and I was still 18, living at home and going to Havo (equitable to college). i turned 19 not much later without my father there on the 2nd of June.😅 Explanation / comment: Regarding the first story. No-one moves on from such grief, there is no ''moving on''. You learn to live with the grief but the pain and grief will stay forever, especially in these cases of young widow and children / young adults that still live at home and go to school 💚 I do hope all of your parents get to grow old instead of die young as I do not wish that upon anyone. 💙 It sadly will always stay with you 💔 Edit: I really live your shows btw, thank you all for bringing joy to my life 💕
Nah, saying someone stinks in a situation like that is not going to far. It straight up adds to the picture of the kind of person that is and how disgusting they are.
🇨🇵🐌🥐🥖 Frenchie here " defenestrate" comes from our sooo damned language 😅 We say "fenêtre" for "window", so "défenestrer" or your "defenestrate" means "to throw out a window" And usualy you defenestrate someone, most likely yourself 😅 What a complicated word to describe a specific kind of suicide 😅😅
Omg peanut butter and chocolate coco puffs soooo freaking delicious!!!😊😅 also, i make some pretty darn good chocolate chip cookies i put around 5 different flavored chocolate chips in them and i bet siennas are amazing as well!❤ And jawhn, i hope to get your wifes cookbook soon because i bet shes a master chef so im going to ask for it for Christmas this year so can you or someone tell me what the cookbook is and where i can find it? Please and thank you! Much love and positive vibes to yall and the wikimaniac fam!❤❤
Defenestrate comes from the French word for window fenetre :) it's one of my favourite words cos it's literally like de-window-nate😂 (haven't figured out accents on my new phone I know it's missing an accent sorry)
SIENNA! I also have worked at a historic museum and had to wear dresses from pre-1860.. the comments from customers AND COWORKERS were appalling. It's so much worse is when you're underage and you only have one coworker who happens to be male 🤢
I get misophonia as a symptom of my ADHD, but it can also be a symptom of Autism and (if I'm not mistaken) OCD. Anyone can experience it, of course, but a person might have more triggers if they are neurodivergent. For me, chewing/slurping sounds, people laughing in a group, and when someone sneezes more than like 2 times in a row all make me irrationally angry. Even my OWN chewing noises make me angry sometimes. This is all to say that I understand the OP of that story and their desire for Defenestra-Sean :)
I feel for the OP with misophonia. Misophonia is often a neurodivergence thing, so the OP may have autism or ADHD. It could be related to sensory processing disorder as well. I have ADHD and sensory processing disorder, and if I had to work when I'm having a sensory overload meltdown, I would get NOTHING done. If I had someone next to me crunching ice all day (I legitimately am almost gagging just talking about that sound), I would honestly be curled in fetal position under my desk by the end of the day. I would bet noise cancelling headphones or earplugs would be a perfectly reasonable accommodation of a disability if OP has autism or ADHD or similar.
It's because Fenestration is the arrangement of windows in a building, so since some Russia rulers had a habit of throwing political opponents/critica out of windows reporters came up with a name for it.
Hi everyone!! And thank you for the kind words and the lovely comments during the live chat too - josh passed them along :)
First guy does not love his family. He’s possessive over them. You know he just had kids for his lifestats

I think we all want to see Juliet roast John 😂

I had bad misophonia and had to share an office once. I just wore ear buds and listened to music during my trigger sounds lol!
Coworker issue: Lawsuit… oh so many lawsuits
Love Sienna and how she annunciates herself, I hope she knows how loved she is!
