That's exactly what I thought too, when you hear the sound of the tires on the ground, you understand how wet it was, and the fact that he arrives at that speed and changes direction on such slippery ground without leaving the track is just incomprehensible!
We were some of the lucky ones there to witness this incredible run, the mud was unbelievably greasy, no idea how he found grip. Whenever a rider made it through the corkscrew, cheers and chainsaws full volume 😅. Total legend
Almost everyone crashed or fell in this course, almost everyone. Pierron, on the other hand, ran through it as it was nothing. By far the most impressive, craziest winning run of the year.
The level of COMMITMENT when there is nearly zero traction on those corners is Insane. Just watch the replay. Riding after rider on this slip-n'-slide down the mud then THIS! Just, unbelievable.
I've been in Les Gets on this day, but little did I know the MTB world championship took place on this day. Of course I knew something was going on as the whole place was full of mountainbikers, but I went there with my motorbike to do the marathon of the Alps so I needed to take a picture of the sign of the pass Les Gets which is located in the middle of the city. The weather conditions were horrible, so we tried to escape asap. Sick run.
wow, it was terrifying enough to watch from the non-pov camera's, but it's even worse from his pov. Crazy skills and courage to go this fast.. Not to mention the tear-off in mid-air, in these conditions
Momo, Max told you a hurt beast come stronger ! Max see the future and you're the future in present time. I remember a guy comment on Sole saying that it was just running with no technics... and now what will he says ?
Cette descente de momo c'est comme réussir à faire une descente clean en ski sur une avalanche. La piste n'était clairement pas contrôlable ! C'est l'un des plus grands sportifs français honnêtement, fièr d'être français et passionnée de VTT !
The orucial element missing from it snagging the "most iconic run EVER", is the lack of Rob Warner and Nigel Page's commentary (Danny Hart's Champery big balls run)
The motion mid-air was awesome, he took some time to clean his goggles, crazy
And after while riding one handed in these crazy conditions
He removed a tear off, even crazier
i believe it’s a tear off which if you’ve ever used one is impressive
All of the pro riders do that though. Its probably one of the safest places where they can take off one hand to wipe their lenses/gopros.
I cant comprehend how fast he slaps the corners when its this slippery
I slip at half the speed. And he is faster in the wet than me in the dry. Unbelievable.
@@weizenobstmusli8232 true, a lot of people can't comprehend how fast this is especially in the wet and the gopro effect
Watching it 10th time and every single time it looks more and more unreal. Amaury denied laws of physics, again. What a beast!
That's exactly what I thought too, when you hear the sound of the tires on the ground, you understand how wet it was, and the fact that he arrives at that speed and changes direction on such slippery ground without leaving the track is just incomprehensible!
Most riders in their prime struggle to get back to the same level after serious injury, Pierron seems even stronger now than he was before.
One of the best rides ever. Right up there with Danny Hart at Champery world champs in 2011
he rode it like it was dry! Insane man
That right hander in the steep section. On rails
Poor guy. No one told him it was wet.... :) Incredible run for history. Level: A LEGEND.
The moment he cleaned his lens mid flight... true legend!
Pierron is my favorite DH rider and I'm so stoked to see him back!
That is THE most insane POV to exist on the internet of a mountain bike race.
Wow. Iconic run. The man is fearless.
That's unreal ... No words .. watched it 20 times, je t'aime Amaury j'aime la France 🇫🇷❤
3:05 You can hear the screams of the crowd rise an octave (almost) when they know he made it through that section.
How the fuck does he not slip out on any of those roots, absolutely nuts
He hadn't enough time to slip 😅
SO epic....IM BACK BABY!!! unreal talent.
He is flying on the track even in this conditions. Crazy
We were some of the lucky ones there to witness this incredible run, the mud was unbelievably greasy, no idea how he found grip. Whenever a rider made it through the corkscrew, cheers and chainsaws full volume 😅. Total legend
NO GUTS,NO GLORY😮in this sport.Insanely talented😊
Almost everyone crashed or fell in this course, almost everyone. Pierron, on the other hand, ran through it as it was nothing. By far the most impressive, craziest winning run of the year.
The amount of grip in this condition is unbelievable!!! 🙏
That pace in the dry would be seriously going for it... In the wet it's borderline insane!!!
World beating skills
The man was born to race. Amazing to see him back on form.
another immortal run. No comment can keep up with this
Title is super acurate! it is indeed one of the most iconic runs! EVER!!!
The level of COMMITMENT when there is nearly zero traction on those corners is Insane. Just watch the replay. Riding after rider on this slip-n'-slide down the mud then THIS! Just, unbelievable.
An absolute beast of a ride, fast faster fastest
HE'S BACK BABY!!!
He rode the ruts and the wet lines perfectly. Feet on when everyone else tripod!
Definitely up there with Danny Hart’s World Cup run in 2011. Fantastic stuff!
That was genuinely exhilarating, insane skill and commitment
Awesome and only 1 tearoff ❤
I've been in Les Gets on this day, but little did I know the MTB world championship took place on this day. its really hard to gauge traction in all that mudness. that's fast
Just gotta have a massive pair of testys and a little faith in your ability 😂😂
Twenty pro men ate mud. That’s how slippery
wow, it was terrifying enough to watch from the non-pov camera's, but it's even worse from his pov. Crazy skills and courage to go this fast.. Not to mention the tear-off in mid-air, in these conditions
Will be in the memories forever for sure. AP is an ape and inspiration!! ✊🏼
He was almost as far ahead of second place as second place was to 8th. How? How did he stay on the bike in these conditions? Maniacal!
My favourite racer, he's just full on 🎉👏💪👏
Amazing run🎉😮
Bro is smoother than Barry White in a bath full of buttercream.
Mind: BLOWN! Sickest run EVER!!!! 🔥. Need to know exactly what tires he was running!
Unbelievable! Dude has some big marbles and their weight helped him with traction!
4min is sooooo loong in these conditions ! I dont understand how he can ride with that level, that is unbelievbale. It blows my mind
It’s like the mission was to keep the GoPro dry and clean. He did very well at that.
OMG 🙌🙌🙌
There we go, confirmation that aliens are here living on earth. No way this guy is human! 😂
👽😂
Ahhhh lovely summer in Les Gets. Lived there in 04... same. Dirt is nice tho
If this isn't an advertisment for Schwalbe Tacky Chan and Dirty Dan, I don't know what is xD
Ah, that's the secret? 😂
Definitely part of the secret.
Nice plug.
A good long front fender as well to keep the spray from his eyes! And the peak extender on his helmet to keep the rain out. The rest is pure genius...
Amazing 😳
The question is, if he went that fast in those conditions, how fast would he have went in the dry!?
He was going 20 seconds faster when dry.
That's up there with the Danny Hart Champerey run and Gwin's chain less victory.
Could I ask the video settings? FOV is amazing 👏👏
와~❤❤ 이건 말로 설명 할수 없는 속도와 긴장감이다. 나도 어른이 되면 이렇게 탈수 있을까??😅😅😅😅😅😅멋져 멋져 ~~^^
Friends call him the Danny Hart of Les Gets
Even at half speed, this is insane.
Jesus fucking christ this is madness. Was great to watch on Saturday.
How is it even possible to go that fast on a track so muddy and wet
How is that even possible? To go that fast, in those conditions? My pea sized brain just can't compute this. Amaury I salute you sir!
It was like watching the Crank movie
Momo, Max told you a hurt beast come stronger ! Max see the future and you're the future in present time.
I remember a guy comment on Sole saying that it was just running with no technics... and now what will he says ?
The conditions are insane!
AP is the best dh rider the world has ever seen
Bar none.
nice ride
"I'M BACK< BABY!!!!!" Yes. Amaury, you are...
this is totally nuts - how you don't slip on one of those roots!!
INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE!!!!!!
I’d love to know he exact setup and settings go pro is running for the pov that it looks this good even muddy
I don’t even go that fast when its dry. Madness
"I'm back, baby" : you're so back @Amaury. Putain, tu nous as manqué... ce feu.
I had to slow this down by half just to comprehend.
They should check whether there are alien magnets hidden in his tires that will stick him to the ground. This is not human 🤪😜👽
Damn, I thought my playback speed was set on 2.
How is possible so much grip on a wet terrain?
The hairs on my arms stood on end.
Un 👽 👏👏👏
wait wait wait 2:27 whaaat?
monster
how do you do this 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Damn this is kinda like rally racing
He found grip in places I thought impossible
sick shit!
Anybody figure out how his tires didn’t slide out from underneath him lol? I can’t even make slow turns on wet painted parts of roads.
Why is this video at 2x speed?
can someone explain why the guys start on 5 and not on 1 i really dont get it ?!?!?!?!?!
I think they can start anytime from the count of five down, gives them a little flexibility.
@@samblenkharn8099 oh okay
Can I ask what tyres was he using? :)
No.
Dirty dans.
Are we not going to talk about Amaury's one handed lens change? Like *???*
Mid air even...what the hell...
Insane…
HOW is there Grip???? Its wet, ther is muds... many Roots. My Brain not braining...😅
How can he grip?!
Wow..
looks like no one told him it was raining

That would have elevated it to stratospheric levels it's true 😢 Warner would have lost his shit entirely commentating that 😂
Welp, I guess it's safe to say he's back
who's idea was it to have someone whistle every time someone goes by.
Epic ride, but it will have to take second to Danny Hart, Worlds 2011
Just how ....
I know a modder when i see one
If you want that, you gotta understand a ritual
But .. how can he stay on the bike ??
Why they always start when the Guy is still saying five, four......
bonkers
Fucking insane !!!!!
