I had the pleasure of riding an Urban G/S ~1000 miles through New Zealand, the character and charm of this bike is unmatched. No tach, no gas gauge, just a speedo and heated grips.
I was just out on my 2015 R NineT thinking about reviewers who talk about "wind". Topic seems to come up in so many motorcycle reviews on so many different bikes, but does anyone actually have issues with it? I can cruise 1 hand on the bars at 80MPH on the fwy with zero issues from wind. Even on tank emptying rides at speed, wind is never an issues. Granted, I always wear ear plugs so wind noise impact is minimal. I understand folks on big baggers/touring bikes doing major miles wanting wind protection, and certainly sport bikes at "fun speed" benefit from it, but for most bikes on most miles ridden, is it really an issue? The whole point of motorcycles for me is to experience the world while I ride. If I don't want wind, I drive my car.
Definitely looking into the R NineT as my next bike, im getting bored of all the parallel twins & a liter bike just isnt practical for me. And as i live on a dirt road & want to do some light offroad exploration the Scrambler or Urban GS is right up my alley 🥰
now that chase has found the charm of the R Nine T....he needs to review the R Nine T pure or at least a option 719 Aluminium. well just to get a feel of the bike and comparison hehehe 😈
I was surprised at how much i liked the 719 opt rninet, being 6 foot 2 it wasnt too bad but for thw price I went with the 1250 RS, I wanted to have more room and more options for storage. Love the boxer sport bike combo.
oc new here, amazing videos . bike definitely should had a big analog rpm gauge and gear indicator . Love the rims and the mods. The exhaust valve is a must imo! The low rpm torque is good, helps with traffic a lot if your point to point has a lot of traffic lights (although i prefer lighter bikes) A bit sceptical about the boxer engine tho. I remember a 911s had rly a nasty leftside swing. With 1st gear the right turns was scary af, the entire chassis was moving just by revving it. Definitely not ideal on a bike, (bad weather conditions and not expecting it) How you tolerate that weather in a suit 😂 , respect!
aren't most bikes really just "cars and coffee" bikes? Unless you are touring, tracking, or off roading, bikes are just a fun way to get around and eliminate traffic concerns...
Glad we could change your mind on the R NineT, Wunderlich definitely outdid themselves on this build. Lets do some more riding!🤘
Where did you get the tach?
@@revd4461 All the parts are from Wunderlich and it's fixed now haha just an easy fix and it works perfectly.
Finally… Chase has found the charm of the R NineT. Welcome brother 😂

How is heated grip okay but tach isn't
@@rayhan4502 bc you don’t need a tach and heated grips are wonderful in the rain, cold mornings, etc
@@kernalsharp and you don't need a heated grip, also tach are wonderful for shifting and gas gauge are wonderful to estimate range and stuff
@@rayhan4502 different strokes for different folks 🤷♂️

Dude, I completely agree!
I just seen that bike in Redmond Oregon at the BMW national rally. Nice!
I love my 2023 scrambler! I had to purchase the rev counter with the gear indicator separately. I don’t have the cruise control.
OC great review. Just picked up a 2023 R9T Scrambler and the 1st modification will be an Ohlins rear shock - amazing bike, but it needs it. 😉
I love how he says " It's a church parking lot" then immediately goes "HELL YEAH!" 😂😂

Such a classic one❤️🔥

Bike looks great.
OC! Love my R NineT classic with lowered bars Werkes exhaust and upgrades suspension componenets.
Proud to be in the OC!

super cool looking and sounding bike. bit out of my price range though lol holy moly
Hope you get a chance to try the r12 nine t and r12
I like the r9t but the the dash is so basic to me. Dual pods with more readouts to me would be nice.
OC, bwoi! ;) I'm on Team Rev Meter as well, so that'd be my main mod.
OC: that's a pricey list of mods for a "cars and coffee" bike lol

Is that Royal Enfield headlight and Himalayan 411 Visor?😂
gees, you have any turns over there...
