Bite mount is what I've always done for parkour and similar. In front of the mouth/chin is just about the perfect angle for POV. Thanks for the tips! I'm hoping to get into sailing more and will definitely want to film it.
This is pretty helpful, I have a 420 and an old iphone velcro-ed to the stern. It captures from the knee down. The challenge for me is what GoPro to buy. This video was quite helpful.
Awesome, glad it helps! I would definitely buy the gopro max. The 360 cam has the most versatility and with one camera you can film basically everything you need to make videos.
Nice vid Rafa. Thanks. I do loads of my own sailing vids and I totally agree! (Have a look if you want) The actual sailing of the boat ALWAYS takes priority over filming!! But tbh, I felt personally attacked 1:17.... ALL my videos are head mounted 😂😂. And yes, I do look ridiculous but thankfully that's nothing out of the ordinary and my entire yacht club has learnt that 😂must be the good videos that come from it 😉. Anyway, what's it like editing the 360 camera? It's a fair ways expensive for me atm and I don't have any Adobe editor yet either. Hence why it takes me so long to edit vids as is. What do you use? How long does it take to edit etc? Thanks. (jeez that's a long one)
Use Davinci Resolve to edit, the workflow for a 360 camera isn't that bad because GoPro has a good software for cutting the clips. The issue with 360 video is file sizes. Make sure you have the storage to handle multiple cameras and 360.
I wish I could record but the guys I sail with are older blokes once they stop sailing and another team picks me up I will maybe start then . I am gonna try record dingy sailings and my college course just gotta make sure I can
How can you wear a GoPro with a type III life jacket?
Looks like they aren’t wearing life jackets 😬 I was wondering the same thing

thanks for the video... any suggestions for coaches needing a zoom video (filming from a zodiac) with stabilizer and lots of spray?
Awesome tips! Thanks for sharing. I didn’t realize how great the 360 cam is for filming sailing. *Adds to wish list. 😊
Yea the 360 cameras are a game changer for filming sailing!

How do you get wind speed, direction, etc. overlaid on the video?
Great overview and thanks for sharing.
Issue I found with the chest mount is it can break when you are pulling yourself onto the dagger board

Well there's multiple different boats featured in this video!
