That's nice of you to say. I hope John sees this. I think it's easy for TH-camrs to concentrate on negative comments though positive easily outnumber them. John's one of my favorite TH-camrs and I'm not even a gamer.

Watching John videos always feels like I'm hanging out with an old friend...while laying in bed stuffing my face with pasta and not actually having to be social. 12/10 experience.
That last "review" you read on Outside was beautiful. The poor guy probably never played a single horror game in his entire life before that game, so to think that Outside was his first is pretty sad.
Aren't these just purchased/bot reviews? I could swear there was another video where he poked fun at almost the exact kind of review, down to the "scary type game" part.

Still, there's so much fishy stuff going on on Steam now that these really generically worded gushing reviews for mediocre games start setting off alarm bells.

same here, i suffer from ptsd and depression and john is the only content creator that has had a direct impact on my emotional well-being. he's made horrible days actually bearable with his personality + content. 🥺

Sameee! I have panic disorder and autism and I can't watch every TH-camr because they're so loud. Sudden loud screaming causes a fight or flight (or cry tbh) response in me for some reason. It just causes a lot of stress. John doesn't do any of it, which soothes my heart. I watch him and ManlyBadassHero religiously for their calm demeanor.
I adore John just laughing at the strangest stuff that happens in these games. The games aren't bad but aren't great but at least laughable. So that's a plus.

Loving the posted streams! Regular streams (in general) can get a bit long winded for me, so it's cool to still getto see them. Appreciate the editing, the zooming in on the cam is funny :D
I dig these location-themed games that display an understanding of how the places actually function. Like Overslept showing the hospital's pharmacy, data storage, & conference rooms, and Death Park having an administrative building and trailers/bunks for staff to sleep in. It's so much more satisfying than surface-level "spooky hospital ward/morgue with maybe an office or bathroom." Really adds to that feeling of exploring places you aren't meant to be. There's more to locations than the areas everybody sees + all-purpose spooky basement.
The face of the menu/tall man creature in Overslept was taken from a horror manga called Fuan no Tane, I highly highly recommend it. It's a great anthology of short, largely unconnected stories.
Lmfao in Outside, I love how the enemies behave like mobs in an MMO, where you can just abuse the shit out of their pathing using safe spots. Hooooooooly shit the AI is THAT primitive.

Fairly new to the channel, and recently just landed on the three random games playlist. I'm sort of addicted to these kind of videos, so I was excited to find it. I've got to say that I'm really glad that you do read so much of the text on screen out loud. This username is a lot more literal than a lot of people seem to think, as I am mostly blind. I can stream videos on a TV large enough that I can see most of the action that's going on, if not all the detail, but the text is almost never large enough for me to read it. Still, the fact that I can't see much doesn't mean I don't still love video games, and if I can't play them for myself, watching other people play them is the next best thing. So thanks, I guess. Lol
That’s not really that confusing. I don’t know the metric system but I know 2.2 meters is tall for a human. Americans don’t use the metric system for measurements but we still have to use it in like certain science stuff at school so it’s not that surprising that we would know if somethings tall or not.

But we do use a lot of metric in the military. Meters for distance, Millimeter for shell size etc. Our rulers have both metric and imperial. Some of our liquids are based on metric. Etc
It's pretty common for Americans to know both. Also, the Meter is very close to the Yard and someone who is 2.2 yards tall would be taller than your average person.

I kinda really liked Death Park it seemed to have some thought and care put into it. It’s a bit rough in some places, but definitely like 1000 times better then the garbage Caffeine/Cheesecake Dev puts out lol
I'm not really a fan of them. I understand that it takes more effort, but it's something that every TH-camr does and at this point, it feels a little like trend-chasing. Kinda like seeing avocado toast everywhere. It's good individually, but seeing it everywhere drives you nuts.

I actually really liked overslept. there shouldve been saves and the puzzles were a little odd but i liked the art and the vibe.
