Hi J&J, Thanks for the catch up. You seem to be having great fun on your adventures and are clearly very flexible on choosing new destinations. Really looking forward to the Amsterdam video I'm sure you had fun. Take care, stay happy and healthy!!
another short but great episode, looking forward to the next one. is it just me but I laugh every time you poke joe in the ass, so funny and never tires.
re Oil - if there's a dipstick you can check the level yourself and you should do this once a week especially when covering long distances, even in a regular car (along with tyre pressures, and check coolant and brake fluid levels every month or so). Don't rely on the light to remind you, as it's getting seriously low by the time it comes on. Having said that, €15 isn't bad for a litre being done for you. Sign up to Euro Car Parts and using your registration number they will supply everyday parts such as oil, bulbs, wiper blades, screenwash etc and you can save lots of money. Castrol Magnatec is good for the oil change but for topping up you might get something good but less expensive.
Love your sense of humour guys well done on another great video. Had to chuckle at the van rocking whilst on the channel crossing. Small comment for future reference, if you have to remove your seats again, you only need to remove the front bolts, then slide the seat forward and the rear silver bobbins stay in place.
Look forward to the next as usual. Can't believe you went all the way back home just for a front passenger seat. While you were in the Netherlands you could have bought a driver's seat, lhd and used that. Just thought not a critique. Keep the channel up, rather enjoy it 😊
Thank you so much for creating and sharing this amazing video with all of us. It is so inspiring, soothing, and relaxing to watch your unique experience. As someone who used to be a way more outdoor person and truly adventurous, something happened, and I am currently living too much stuck in the city and far away from all the adventures. However, your videos really inspired me to push myself to get out there again. Thank you and wish you all the best on your journeys :)
Aww it's so lovely to have you with us! I really hope you can find a way back to the great outdoors! Remember that everything is temporary, so you'll find your adventurous side again! 😍 Thanks so much for the lovely comment ❤️
Are you sure about partitioning off the cab area from the habitation, I know mine's not a self build and I can swivel both cab seats so the backrests are to the side, I couldn't imagine loosing the feeling of spaciousness of a unpartitioned cab area? I thought the message was change the oil not just top it up, but very informative about how to get rid of the message cheers. I was intending of coming back over from Morocco to spain about 15th Feb but it still doesn't look warm enough yet so I might just stay here a bit longer! 🌞
Well I’ve been looking forward to your next micro documentary with excitement. I thought we’d agreed they were going to be longer…? I’m gonna reverse psychology this now, can you make them shorter pls? I was actually ahead of you on my conversion with the single passenger seat, everything else I’m behind. You’re my fav TH-camrs!
It’s great following your journey! I was wondering..how is your solar power doing, have you run out of juice much? It looks like you have a very good spec system, but the limitation is the amount of panels you can get on the roof ( it looks like 900w is the most you can squeeze on with a roof vent too). But with charging off your van when moving, I should imagine that you could play PS5 all day long, as long as you do a short journey, or can you do that without going anywhere?
Thanks for the comment Richard, We're not actually generating that much power. The sun is quite low during winter but we're only seeing about 250w from the solar. It could be our choice of mppt, so I've ordered a Victron 150/35 and we'll be experimenting with it soon. The DC to DC chargers are helping but I'm surprised how little power they bring in, each 360w charger is only charging at about 250w in reality. Altogether the maximum we've seen on the smart shunt was 1000w of charging whilst driving in sunny weather. The best component is the multiplus, when we plug it charges at over 3500w. Also the battery capacity is more than enough to use the playstation 8 hours a day for almost two weeks from one single charge.
@@JodieandJoe yeah, I think you are ok for batteries😅…..thing is, I guess, when you are limited on the amount of solar panels area, having more storage ( batteries) is a way round it. I asked because I am Offgrid, looking to build a static system that could be transplanted into a Ducato ( when I find one)
I am looking to power a gaming pc, monitor, plus other bits and bobs. I looked up a PS5 is about 450w, which has got to be around the same, or a tiny bit more, than a gaming pc. Perhaps you could try tilt the panels…think it helps by 20%….
Yes 450w is quite juicy, we only have a PS4 which is 150w. I would love to have the panel tiltable but I prefer knowing they wont budge when flying down the motorway. We see if there are any solar improvements with the new charge controller, if there is you could always game in the day while parked in the sun!
The ferry was £400 which was very expensive. Yes it would be a 15 hour, 1250km drive and would cost us about £300 in diesel plus another £100 for the ferry to Dover
Another brilliant video guys 👍👍❤️ @bettyourcampervan xx you two are never boring! You are just ace ❤️❤️ ps all wine bottles should come with screw tops! Mine do 🤣🤣
A quick tip for corked wine if you put a flame to the rim it will force the cork out 😃
You guys crack me up... Hope you had a great time in Amsterdam...
Hi J&J, Short and sweet vlog but always entertaining ❤

Thanks Darren, the next video should be up same time next week!

Can't help it! This was just a quick check in - our next will be ready soon and it much more interesting! 🤩

We had a few other things to head home for - not just the chair! Hehe
Thanks so much Michael! 🤩
You need a swivel base for your single seat.
We thought about it but might put a wall there. Will consider! X
@@JodieandJoe I know it’s extra expense but keep it open and have Remis blinds on the front.
They are sooooo expensive though 😭
Awesome as always guys! Love you both xx
Nice little upgrade.
Thanks!
Love your vids...
looking forward to your new itinerary! 👍
Us too! 😍😍
looking forward to the next video, Ive done that with a wine bottle too!
Thanks so much! 😍

Nice to see you guys back, I have to say the ferry trip did not look fun lol. Looking forward to seeing more of your travels😊
It was so choppy and awful 🤢
It SAID CHANGE the oil not top it up. The system checks for oil dilution by diesel due to failed DPF regeneration attempts.
The oil was changed a month prior and the van hadn't been reset. We topped it up coz it was low but really we just needed to reset it 😂

It was originally our plan, but having lived with it, we really appreciate the light and space. So we are still plotting options!
Have fun Jeff!

Hahah our next will be longer! This was a filler video of stuff that didn't fit into anything else! Thanks for watching xx

How much did the Ferry cost you?
It’s 15 hours drive from Bilbao to Calais
