Great video :) I have HQ myself I could be totally wrong but I always played that monsters need to get the black shields to defend not any shield and hero's only defend with white shields.
the only thing i don't like about HQDM is, you essentially don't need the board. set up.. you're just playing it on the computer with real world dice rolls. what we need is some kind of image recognition feedback :D

I was going to use the new Hasbro Heroquest app for some solo play, but wasn’t sure how it would work playing with my UK Original copy of the game. On a different subject, when I do get around to playing I’m going to use the body point stats from the US rules for the monsters. I always found it odd all the monsters have 1 body point in the UK version of the original game, even the Gargoyle! Sorry just a question as I watch the video. Does this application use the US or EU rules and monster stats, or can you choose which version to use?

I have the base game (Master Edition) and all expansions and it took me years to realize that a solo mode is available. :) I want to install it but it does not work...I run it as administrator with or without compatibility mode....the installer is stuck at the "installing caxton bold font" screen. Any idea?
@@TheBattlinBarrowGaming Yeah, it always freezes at that point. 0% and installing the font. I even downloaded and installed the font myself hoping it would see it and skip that action. No luck...

No you are correct. I always do this mistake in my first game

Yes there could be a temptation to rely on the software rather than using it just for monster AI.

The mix of digital and physical is just screwing my brain up. Seems to be more pain than just play with software alone.

I think there were solo rules that are in the Heroquet Advanced rule book that uses the Heroquest board?
There are indeed but with this you can actually play the quests, thats more of a random affair.

Yes sure I am revisiting AHQ soon got a couple of games planned for it so can add this to the list.
Doesn't look compatible with Rise of the Dread Moon and other future expansions with new monsters and furniture.
I think this would only be for the og releases

This program doesn't wotk with Win 10. It stops when failing to install the Caxton font. Is there a fix for this?

Will this work for Macbook?
No as it's a pc only piece of software. You could just use the new avalon hill companion app even for the old base game and expansions
couldn't get the app to install got a font error
What Os are you using and what font does it talk about?
Is it enjoyable playing solo?
It's heroquest so yep yep just jot as fun as with mates
