My pseudo prononces as gravayon :p. Just have to precise that this solo mode has been massively playtested by around 10 people. You can jump to it ! It will be cool to see a game filmed on your channel ashquest ! ;)
@@gravaillonTon système est super malin, bravo ! J'étais bluffé par le peu de cartes pour le faire tourner. Tu envisages une sortie pour la jungle de Delthrack ?
Only downloaded this yesterday, looks to be a great system. I did find some "errors" only language translations that were missed :D It will be interesting to test with my house rules. I have changed many of the game mechanics.
Hi to all ! New version 1.1 is available at download here : link in the description 5 Mini expansions to the solo mode have been added including City Phase Cards, Treasure Search Cards, Gems expansion, Additionnal Rules and Wear Sheet. All those mini expansions are optionnel. Feel free to use and combine them with my solo mode only.
I like what Gravallion has done. It seems like a lot at first, but it's really a nice, straight forward wayto play solo. It's also easy to adapt your own quests to work with the format.
I’ve been using the solo app, but a little frustrated by it. It can be slow when there are a lot of monsters on Zargon’s turn and I like HQ for its non-digital aesthetic. Thanks for sharing this tool. I tried it tonight with the start of Kellar’s Keep and it was great. The unpredictability of the room layout improves the replayability too.
Interesting. nice that the author thought of the problem of running out of components using this system... and I see he's got them all done except Jungles of Delthrak which hasn't been available in Europe very long to be fair (and First Light which comes out Jan/Feb).
Nice system and well thought thru and possibility to make your own quests. I like it and will test it. There is even room to make it your own, with your own homebrew items. Wonderful.
Thanks for letting us know of this product..i hope a video is done to show how it works...maybe i was tired last night, but did not understand most of it...well i better download and read it of course !
I HATED the app (I`m old school and think apps are part of the changing face of the hobby which transforms it into... um... something negatively different. Certainly not the hobby I have known and enjoyed for the last five decades of play. This non app way of playing is AWESOME and a Godsend. THANK you so much Gravaillon.
This is how HeroQuest fan content should be, free and respecting the original game. Not overpriced card decks or half-assed quest packs you can't preview before buying.
Had a read of the rules and a better understanding now...love to you a company to print these cards for me, How to i separate the PDF images so i can drag and drop each one into their software... I`m new to this stuff..cheers
@@denouement231 the rules says that elements will not block the doors. It's just logical. If a number indicates an already occupied space, just add 1 to the die result until you have an empty space. If your die value is greater than 12, just return to 1. (all this is written in the rules).
Eh I’m not a big fan of this. To me there is intention in the design of quests and this just destroys that. I could see using it as a way of playing solo for a random quest, but not any official or designed quest. Also there is no way to be surprised by a choice or quest note. How do you know if that gargoyle comes to life? What about quests where frequent and positional trap placement is what makes up most of the challenge?
imho the quest book section of this system tries to faithfully allow the quest intention through and I can't think of a better way to do it unless you play solo using the actual quest book and an honor system. Previous solo systems have had zero existing quest conversion. In this, the quest notes do shine through once objectives and certain furniture is uncovered, and a gargoyle coming to life could really be achieved the same way. I think traps are difficult to work into a solo system since the game system rewards you for falling into the meta of just searching every room from the entrance tile once you draw monsters out of a room; nobody's done it perfect, yet.
Seems like this will take a long time setting up every single new room you explore. The base idea seems good, but I can see this really taking the tempo out of a game.
thanks a lot for telling players about my work ! Hail to ashquest !

I like that it works with the official quests. It might be a bit too much for me but it's worth a try.

I learned the rules today, it's pretty great
This is great 👍
Unzippings are great unboxings!
I haven’t played BloodQuest yet, but would love to do it with these rules 😊
good I can stop waiting for axian quest to make cards for the expansions
I have the Advance Hero's Quest. I would play solo with it. It was ok

I wish o could recommend one, but I am not familiar with print services - I'll be printing these out at home myself for now
For PDF editing, I can suggest LibreOffice Draw. That's not gonna help you for the printing part, but it answers the second part of your question.
Please try it
the cars are not lined up for printing on both sides.
exactly, you have to paste two sides together or just use colored back sleeves.
What happens when you are placing elements with the 2d6 roll, but the # does not exist in the table of element placements?
What happens if you roll to place elements and it blocks the door you just opened?

Can you play HeroQuest on a smartphone?
Yes, well, at least where the app is available
