    I cant help but feel that any kind of New year Resolution is nothing other than a waste of hot air!
    If you were serious about doing something or making a change you wouldn't need to wait till the the numbers change on a calendar. Happy New Year!

    Hi Chris, that's the best advice I've heard in a long time, might sound brutal but what you said so true its tough but worth it if you can stick at it, nice one 👍

    I've gotten lazy with my business. I've built it to a point where i have 300-400 customers and I pay myself a decent wage each month but I'm not really putting the extra graft in to grow it further and it doesn't really bring in enough money for me to justify hiring someone which is a huge financial cut for me personally. When you get comfortable it's easy to put the brakes on but what I really need to be doing is getting even more work so I can justify hiring someone and then have more time for me to go out and grow the business instead of being on the glass everyday.
    Don't be lazy like me! Keep pushing, the sky is the limit!

    • @ChrisAddis
      @ChrisAddis  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My Grandad, a wise ol' fella, once said. "Don't tell me the skies the limit when there are footprints on the moon!"
      I completely understand your issue over workload and growth, etc. I'd also say there's a difference between putting the brakes on and taking your foot off the gas.
      I personally couldn't see me being a one man band forever. I saw how hard it was to get going fully and thought, if I'm going to put this much effort in, I want it to one day provide for me...in that respect growth was my only option.
      Your business is what you decide you'll make it; if you want to grow do it, if not keep it simple...there's no shame either way. Happy New Year buddy.

    Thank you for the content Chris a find your videos really useful
    Desperation at the beginning really helped me with drive to push but of late I have been struggling with family issues, injury and a lack of action/drive from myself in my bussiness.
    After looking at this year knowing there is excuses I could point to but knowing full well it misses the point to being honest to myself
    I'm accountable and it's an eye opener to show me it is all in the actions and the grinding, these years have alot to bring.
    Appreciate the wisdom you put out pal💙

      I've been on the glass 20 years on and off but set my own business up in 2020. I'm mainly trad with a bit of wfp. I'm at that interesting stage where I'm starting to take staff on haha. I enjoy your videos, thanks again for the advice and motivation, cheers @@ChrisAddis

    How do you find getting staff that actually turn up and do a decent job seems near impossible 👍

    • @ChrisAddis

      I've had issues in the past with staff, but then you will do. I put an ad out for a vacancy, got 32 applications 2 showed up...

    Do you know something I had a friend like that? He bought a Van 10000 Add all done out for the reach and wash. He got yourself a few Houses from Facebook. He wasn't doing very good. I told him you need to get leaflets cards and go out knocking talking to people. Do you know what he said to me? I'm not knocking on doors. That's like begging for money. I've told him mate, this is not for you. Got a knock on doors and talk. Within the year he couldn't get anything he sold me the van

      I was off the tools, I'm back on part of the week to build the business more. If I do work it tends to be a half day on the tools and admin in the office etc.
      Where are you up to in yours mate?

    Do you know the quickest way to build up a window cleaning? It takes about 2 and a 1/2 years. Knocking and knocking in knocking on doors with your leaflets talking to people. But we're not talking about building up 200. We're talking about building 900 a week. But don't forget if you build about 900 pounds a week. People cancelling you. What? I am trying to say my friend. If you went out tonight and picked up ten nouses, you was only keep four of those houses for years

    • @ChrisAddis
      @ChrisAddis  ปีที่แล้ว

      Debatable...I managed to fill a 4 weekly round enough for me in around 3 months...but I went bat shit and chased everything. Kept a good chunk beyond the first year but had to address the price rises.
      All a learning curve.
