Hi Hisham Elfiki, I'm selling & selling in my day work :-I And having fun sharing with you in my evening / weekend work :-) How are you? Appreciate your received kind words, and wishing you the best too. Thank you and you're welcome, Lou
I love the '69 Vettes. My friend had an orange/red '69 350 cubic inch ragtop in high school and I still remember driving it from St. Louis County downtown right after the Cardinals won the 1982 World Series. It was cold with the top down, but we didn't care at tall. Great times! Beautiful car and great review. Thanks!
Always.. always C3 jeolous bashers who no matter how beautiful the car is.. "Looks better than a C2 any day" will have a negative statement to say. C3 this, C3 that..get a life and a muscle car. Sir, Lou beautiful and gorgeous car and Thx.🇺🇸
And back in the day a friend had a 66 vette.. with the 427 single 4 barrel.. 425 h.p....always thought the 425 h.p.motor was better.. faster and more driveable...
Lou good job.. back in the day I had a 69 same color and motor.. bought it at about 1 year old with 16k miles for 3 grand.. mine had the factory side pipes..and also when people restore these vettes they did come new with whitewall tires. Mine did.....
@@loucostabile Yes those were the days..20years old..university of Minnesota student.. working a almost full time job.. and of course the girls at the Uof M.. loved the yellow vette... love to do that over...
Theres an older gentleman in Winston Salem N.C. that has one of these, Only thing is he keeps it extremely nasty, Pop Cans and potato chip bags in the floorboard. but he has it serviced regularly at the local Chevy dealership. Its yellow and has the LT-1 hood with 427 badges. Original hub caps and looks like its never been washed. lol.
You are right, it gets better every year and one day I want to get one for a project car. I found one recently found one just like this in black and convertible for about $13,000. Disassembled.......literally just a bunch of parts! I wish I had the extra change to buy that one.
The Hot Rod magazine 1969 L88 test car was a Daytona Yellow convertible with the painted Yellow hardtop and was also one of the only 17 L88 automatics ever built. Where oh where is it today? 😀
@@loucostabile I just bought a 69 427 L36 4sp, Cortez Silver over gunmetal int. 56k org miles numbers matching. My favorite vintage for sure...What a beauty. I wonder why GM was putting those smog pumps on non California high performance engines way before it was required....He's right though, that thing was the first to go when I inherited my parents 73 Caprice coupe!
I Am Wondering The Same Thing Too. My '68 427/390 Corvette Did NOT Have The Air Injection And I Live In California. Perhaps Mine Wasn't A California Car To Begin With. You mean refined? They were more well crafted then but not as refined in the driving dynamics like now. It is not a bad thing it is called progress. Also it doesn't have to be either or you can like both and appreciate what both offer.
Doug, I hate to burst your bubble, my good man, but I had a 1970 ls6 454 4spd back than, compared to my C6 convertible the '70 lacked in every discipline , handling, top speed , comfort and, yes, especially gas milage. Not that I ever bought a Corvette for MPG. The C3's were notorious for having leaking roof panel seals which eventually rotted the windshield frame. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed my '70 when I was a young man, but I wouldn't buy one now. Have a good one.
Oh God! I Had This Exact Same Thing! Wow! Except Mine Was A Yellow T-Top '68 With The 427/390! And Manual Cranks. I Did Not Have The Air Injection Or Power Brake Booster Either. My Steering Wheel Was The SCHOOL BUS Style Wheel In '68 And You Had To ARMSTRONG It In The Parking Lot With That Big 427! AND STILL I COULDN'T GET THE GIRLS!! UGGH!! I Guess They Thought It Was "Their" Corvette (Yeah Right! Bull Fucking Shit!) And Seeing ME In MY OWN CORVETTE, And A BIG BLOCK CORVETTE No Less, And The Women Would Get Pissed Off And Wishing It Was THEM Driving The Corvette And NOT ME!! Women Got A LOT TO LEARN! CHEVROLET CORVETTE: MAN'S MACHINE!!! NOT A GIRL CAR! UH! UH!, NO WAY!! GUY CAR ALL THE WAY!!!

I Love You Bill, And I Love You Lou!! And God I Love Your Gorgeous CORVETTE!! Sadly, I Don't Have The $47,000 Large So I Can't Have It. sobbing. You Guys Make Sure That That Nice Corvette Finds A Good Home, Ya Hear? I Hope It Finds A Nice Home With A GARAGE, You Know What I Mean! I Am Also A GEO METRO Man And I Love My GEO METROS Too. I Have A 4 Dr. 1990 3 Cylinder 1.0 Blue Automatic With Almost 300,000 Miles. I'm Gonna Try To Hang Onto My Geo Metro Though. When I Had My '68 Yellow CORVETTE, I Couldn't Drive It As Often And As Much As The GEO METRO! But Then Again You Don't Daily A 427 Big Block Like You Do A 1.0 Litre G10 3 Cylinder. I Often Wonder About My Yellow '68 427/390 Corvette. I Often Wonder If That Guy That We Sold It To Still Has It. It's Been Since About 1985!!! lol
Interior is a bit chatty ( British slang for worn..tired) for $46,000 I would want clear instruments and the black not worn , also the silver around the edges of the dials etc is all worn. Still a lovely car. Engine bay looks clean. Infact it's just the interior that needs finishing off.

The L-71 3X2 427/435 'Vette never came with power steering. Listening to these guys is foolish. They don't know Corvettes. This particular car is not what they claim.
@@thud9797 Would appreciate a link for verification. I could of course be wrong but have always maintained that power steering was available for all 1969 Corvettes except L-88, L-71 and ZL-1. Thanks. I couldn't find any info so hoping you can.
@@fontking1a Don't really have one link, just a few decades messing with these cars, but I think where this started was that on early 68 435hp cars you might not have been able to get it and that word got around. I remember a road test and that car had no PS. And the 68 also had a bigger steering wheel which made turning easier but in 69 the wheel got smaller and it was definitely available.. I've seen original cars and tank stickers to prove it although due to the overall price of the cars back then, many did without it. One of the big magazines did an indepth test on a 69 435 Coupe and that car had every possible option including power steering. Now true on the L88/ZL1, also the LS7 was to be no power steering available and on the 70-72 ZR1 there was no power steering available but that was due to the bigger oil pan on those engines, the big blocks all used the same oil pan so no mechanical reason it could not be offered.
@@thud9797 thanks for the response. I've had my 427/435 since 1970. It had 4000 miles on it and definitely came with manual steering with a vacuum booster tank. As an old guy, the friggin' manual steering wound up giving me an umbilical hernia as I was trying to parallel park the car one day. We installed the Borgeson Power Steering kit and now the car is really great to drive. But, I am still curious and trying to find out if power steering was an option on the L-71. It was offered...for sure..on other models but I've always thought it wasn't an option in 1969 on my car. If I find something definite, I will let you know. Also, as I just remembered, when I decided to install power steering on my car, I contacted several parts companies (well known) and they said there was no power steering from the factory available on the L-71. They recommended Borgeson so that's what I went with. Take care.
You're right, Lou. It does get better looking evry year. Especually now with the new design and mid engine layout.
