I am in the hospital right now because I had the slip for my Spondylolisthesis, I am at a level, pinched my nerve and lost feeling in my legs. Will get better. Staying strong!
👏 😮 👏 thank you so much, I'm 55 now and been suffering horrible back pain since I was 16, diagnosed eventually at 36, our NHS UK is amazing but in Wales it is shite. Even worse when your birth place is England. So bitter, so angry but now I feel I have a proper explanation to the cause of 49 years worth of unrelenting pain.
Thank you, respected professor, for this great video, which you provided, illustrating this difference between these names, which we have all been misunderstood.
This video is quite interesting. It thoroughly gave a pictorial explaination of various mechanical cause of back pain. Many thanks to the team rhat produced this video.
Dear Dr. Nabil, fantastic explanation, very informative. Since these four types are common, can you advise what exercises are best suited for each one. much obliged.
Thanks .Your videos are great. For sure you are a unique person in your profession and a professor who loves teaching! Good for your students and colleagues.
Thank you very much Dr. Nabil Ebraheim. I know and understand now, much, much better my diagnosis. My orthopedic doctor's explanation was not informative to my understanding, it left me hanging.
Sir May Almighty bless u with more wisdom, I got clear picture about the differences. My 13 year old daughter is suffering from spondylolithesis grde 1 please help
Been having some low back tightness and discomfort. Went to chiro. Got x-rays. Was shocked to learn that I have L5 spondylolisthesis. Not sure what to do.
I have retrolothesis. How the heck did that happen? And a herniated disc in one place, a bulging in another, a joint facet protruding cyst pushing the spinous process over, nerve impingement, spinal stenosis and all kinds of other stuff. I have xrays and MRI and no clue what the heck to do
5:04 oh so I had ankyloising spondylitis then that fused my lower vertebra. (since that seems to be the only way I have seen that would fuse lumbar). I can only see l5 not moving, and no back pain, so sunlight including uva, and/or being very active must have regressed it.
I am 60 with bilateral spondylolisthesis and moderate bilateral foraminal narrowing. Will this get better on its own? Right now getting ready to start pt. I have had one steroid root injection and just started osteoporosis medication.
Piano music is so so irritating it doesn't help to concentrate. Otherwise the elaboration is fantastically easily understandable... Wow for the description.
If its extremely painful seek medical assistance with a surgeon that deals in spondylolisthesis. It is important to get Flexion Xray to see if its stable or not stable. I was almost crippled from this, I had L4 to S2 laminectomy (back part of spine removed) , PILF fusion, cages, 2 rods, rhizotomy ( sever nerve roots in the spinal cord). Do not go to just any spine surgeon they need to deal with this condition, I never knew that now I have permanent nerve damage due to the delay a normal surgeon does not know how to fix it correctly, I am also about to be tested for arachnoiditis
the way you have explained is so easy that even a layman can understand it very accurately thank you so much
6 minutes worth all of the hours of my Orthopaedics classes on the back. Thanks a lot!
So I guess it's mostly similar all around the world.
