yes, lorewise it is because almost every other faction is just a bunch of vagabonds or paramilitaries (except eggheads) and monolith consists of former members of those, so this change in lexicon deepens the perspective of O-conciousness imprint on them

I always liked how different the monolith were, from the different games i mean, In SoC they are like: "Yeah well kill you! The monolith is guiding us you have no chance!" Same for clear sky. But in CoP after strelok destroyed the c-con in soc the monolith are like wolves without a mother. They are doing that what they know but they are left alone, slowly gaining their concious back as seen in striders squad. The monolith in CoP might be the saddest faction in stalker as a whole. They are broken without guidance. No purpose anymore. Its interesting to think about how striders squad could have escaped. Maybe they were alone and all of them lost contact and regained the conscioussnes. But the squad is too big for that. What if they were among the others finding each other, when they were still partially monolith. And wanted to leave while the others let them go because... well, what should they do? Who can blame them for leaving? Then they were in Zaton and regained full conciousness. We have 3 options for the monoliths in Stalker 2: A broken faction like clear sky with only remnants all slowly dying. Maybe the C-Con reactivated? Now the monoliths beeing back with full power again. But maybe there wont be no monoliths anymore... maybe a new faction. Monolith remnants, that are now normal humans again and they remember everything, now wanting to be with their brothers, because of a fear of not beeing accepted by the stalkers, maybe not hostile but partially hostile because of their fear. Or more like striders squad. CoP teased that strider made a new monolith faction of remnants.
monolith fraction could also divide into several groups, some who've regained their consciousness and created a new fraction, some could've been recognised and welcomed back to their factions, some could've been so fanatical that even after feeling emotions again they'd simply refuse to change their faith (there are people like that even without the brain scorcher, in the real world, flatearthers, antivacs, also fanatical believers in any religion) and there might also be those who still are under the effects of brainwashing there are so many possibilities I'd rather not speculate more since it's going nowhere, I simply hope gsc won't disappoint us
I think Stalker 2 has the perfect chance to introduce Sin. It's a cut faction from SoC that was conformed by people who have mutated because of the zone and some even develop psychic powers iirc. In Anomaly they are used as villains who aren't looking to protect the center of the zone but instead to expand it all over the world. The monolith could be replaced by them, instead of just guys trying to keep everyone away from the center now we have psychic power wielding cultists trying to expand its influence all over the world
@@Axl4325 I imagine if they added in sin it would be by making the renegades a front for sin in the og concepts they were supposed to be absolute degens they were supposed to crucify stalkers and the renegades are absolute degens with forester sayin that the only reason they didn’t kill him was cause he was a old man I also forgot they’re there cause they’ve done crimes so bad not even the bandits will accept them and in clear sky the bandits commit forced labor
I honestly do not like Sin whatsoever. They come off as the "I want to be a Bandit but they're not edgy enough" faction choice. Then again, that is only how Mods have handled an unfinished concept. I have no doubt that the actual developers could really do something to make them truly special and interesting, should they be properly introduced in Stalker 2.

CoP teased that strider made a new monolith faction of remnants.
monolith fraction could also divide into several groups, some who've regained their consciousness and created a new fraction, some could've been recognised and welcomed back to their factions, some could've been so fanatical that even after feeling emotions again they'd simply refuse to change their faith (there are people like that even without the brain scorcher, in the real world, flatearthers, antivacs, also fanatical believers in any religion) and there might also be those who still are under the effects of brainwashing
there are so many possibilities I'd rather not speculate more since it's going nowhere, I simply hope gsc won't disappoint us
it would be pretty cool if they dipped into cut content for SOC and brought back sin in monolith's place
I like how common monolith soldiers simply sound hopeless, but higher ranks still sound confidently about monolith returnal.
Sometimes I wish to know a monolita soldata, I mean, look for the Strider, he's a great fella, and I wish to know more monolita soldiers, to have a talk, ask how they come to the zone, how they are so great fighters like duty and military soldiers...
I think monolithians are so great fighters because only the strongest are able to reach the center of the zone and stay alive. If you think about it, it does make sense.
@@paskaalisaapaskaa5354 And they have fanaticism. The motivation of only money makes for weak morale, stalkers run when faced with damning odds and they don't.

@@paskaalisaapaskaa5354 Well they’re also sometimes stalkers that were captured and brought to one of the anomalies, but they ignore many things, they lose all fear of enemy and death, they kill themselves if captured, and fight on even if they’re mortally wounded. Its because of the brainwashing really, they lose most checks and balances normal people have, which in theory would make perfect soldiers, so of course they’re going to be strong.
