Steelhead can be quite particular fish, but they'll take anything from egg patterns to swung flies when presented correctly. The challenge of cathing these trophy fish draws steelhead anglers from all over to the Great Lakes. The steelhead's beautiful color patterns and markings are backed by an incredible fight, especially when hooked on a fly rod. Even Winter steelhead can put up an incredible battle in the frigid cold months. It's important to have the right fly line for your presentation. In most cases, floating line will do the trick. A lot of good information here, I've been fishing the Erie Tribs since I was five, and learned a lot. The tip about the fish suspending and feeding up is so important.

This is weak stuff. Hardly rudimentary. This is less than preschool information. I've only fished for steelhead a few years and everything he talked about was established my very first trip for these fish. I know I'm advanced but come on...... This is no different than the other seminars they have.
