What is your opinion to those that have graphics cards but low profile similar to a router or other low profile design and what is the best? This looks sick for the price but what if I want 4k switch w/ good fps
I have the GTR7 Pro and it's basically the same. Love it. Minisforum has a similar one.
Thank you🥇
Thank you for the video. Any advise if you want to buy an original modded emulation xbox? Or buy one stock and have someone do a service on it? Just curious. Have a good one!
I love your video. You should make a video on the best options for low mid and high price mini PCS.
Great idea!
@@RetroGamingGuyyes please.
I'm amazed at the capabilities of this box of tricks! It's not even supposed to be able to emulate the PS3 as most mini PCs can't do it! With regards to there being only one USB 3: there's a workaround and that's to use an on-the-go cable for the USB 2, then plug the red power cable into an extension cable to reach the mains powered USB or battery power bank. Insert the female USB 2 into the male of a 3 way mini adapter, only originally meant for low power devices where a WIFI dongle wouldn't normally work (my method makes anything useful). You can do more than just power gaming controllers, being a gaming keyboard and gaming mouse with lights, plus a smartphone for data transfer. However, the phone won't charge so make sure there's sufficient power in the phone. This method protects your machine from overheating as it can't provide power to the phone, prolonging the life without overheat. Avoid using a smartphone with a powered USB 3 hub as it will blow! A portable mechanical drive or DVD won't cause any distress, regardless of power being provided directly by the PC. Limit each USB to 4 outputs, protecting the PC with external power.
Question, would you say this is better than the Retrobeast 96TB?
Really Cool
Excellent mini PC. Thanks 4 the review 600 bucks is a bit over my budget. For 400 you can get something a bit lesser spec but still Ryzen 7. Keep up the great work!
Has $170 off coupon right now putting it right around $450
i found a deal on Ali for 485 for the 32gb 1tb model. 25% off
Have you tried running more graphic-intensive shaders like CRT Royale and CRT Royal Kazumi (Sp?). Trying to find a mini PC with the graphcis power to do such a thing.
what emulators do you use for ps3 and switch? i have some roms games i own.
I just bought one of these last month it's pretty damn good. Well worth the money
The power connector will break. Proprietary, anti-consumer nonsense. The reason barrel jacks have been around forever is because they are cheap, effective and durable.
is the wifi connection good ?
Does it come out with all those games?
@@tumelomorore7894 no, you have to get those yourself but it's really easy to find and set up.
On the road to 100K.
What resolution are you testing gaming at? 4K? 1080p?
What is the ser 7 's 780m igpu maximum TGP??
Can I install Batocera and emulate PS3 games on it? That's the question I have, but I never knew
i'm a total newb to this. what is the best plug -n- play out there? i only want to play retro games and up to xbox 360 and ps 3 or 4
You think Kris coolmod's 4tb drive would work well with this? I could then just HDMI the beelink to my tv?
It should
I just ordered the um790 pro from Aliexpress a couple days ago because I want to emulate everything and be able to upscale. These Ryzen Apus are amazing!
Why did you buy the 790 pro from Ali express? Is it a knock off minisforum?
@@thehillza It's not a knockoff
@MoJo54 yeah I checked. I didn't realise they sold decent stuff too. Did you have to pay import on it or anything?
@@thehillza Nope! Just tax and shipping is free. I ordered a mini PC before from AliExpress and was very satisfied.
The APU doesn’t do emulation, the CPU does
Thank you for another fantastic video! Can you please let me know what settings you used for Tekken and Halo (i.e. 1080p+, low-ultra, AA, RT, etc.)? And if you can, can you please also let me know the highs and lows for FPS; and what the average was? Thank you again!
FPS doesn’t matter and the game internally renders at 30FPS..
C-type cord, does it mean one can charge it?
C-type cord, does it mean one can charge it?
Bought the GTR7. Bad times, had to return it
What’s the differences between the ser6 and Ser6 max ?
Hi. I'm looking for a mini PC to play retro games on a build up drive just for N64, PS2, Game Cube, Saga Saturn, DC, and light gun games. I saw your awesome review of the AceMagician PC a few weeks ago and the specs are great. Will that be a good pick or what would you recommend? Do I really need a 1 TB PC with 2.5 SSD to play retro games? Thank you.
Hey! Yeah that would be good. This one is going to be way more powerful but if you don't plan to play the more demanding collections then save yourself some money and go with the ace magician. That's your best option. You can look at the bosgame mini pc I reviewed too. I have that going into my arcade cabinet soon.
I see C-type cord, does it mean one can charge it?
Great😊
hiya, do know if the machine has amiga 1200 ELITE space game ? also does it have all the command n conquer games ? cheers
It doesn't include the games you add those yourself
i looking forward to se this video mabe i buy that litle pc
Definitely has a lot of capabilities for a relatively small pc !
How does this go for upscaling retro games? Can you play psx roms in 4k?
Yes you can
@@RetroGamingGuy Awesome!
Did you have to use a bluetooth dongle for bluetooth controllers, or were you able to get the internal bluetooth controller working? I'm running batocera 38 on it, and the bluetooth is not working. Following the steps on the batocera site, I get to "power on" in bluetoothctl and it says "No default controller available".
I got the Bluetooth working internally but I was on 37 for this review not the latest 38
I just figured out my issue. I needed to go into the BIOS and disable secure boot and the internal bluetooth controller started working.@@RetroGamingGuy
Which controllers are compatible with this?
I know this is probably a crazy question for someone that know more than me about pc gaming but do you think that this can smoothly run ps3/Xbox 360 generation maddens and ncaa 14??? How about Xbox 360/ps3 generation of wwe games? I really hope you see this.
Oh Id say for sure mine runs Fortnite no problem and call of duty a lil slow but I have the previous version machine
What front end are you using? Batocera? Big Box? Great Video!!
Batocera
I need this to do trading, so I have to connect 4 screens en open 4 browsers, will this mini pc be enough
Yes it will. Actually this system is pry overkill for that use case
My main PC :) i SWEAR there were more videos showing this beast off. Did ninjas attack videos? Guess I'll be making one sometime..
Hey there! Just wanted to ask hows ur SER6 max holding up? I’ve been reading up alot on it online, just ordered mine but a little scared of the people reporting the issues with it
@@muhammadshafieebinkhaidzir6371 Hi :) Still my main beast and I emulate and browse, make music, every day :)
When the price drops to $350 or less, let us know. In a year, something bigger and better will come out and this pc will be cheaper.
True but then you'll want to wait another year for that "bigger and better" thing. 🤣
KY here!
I would like to see something like this that plays the newer systems that you simply plug and play that doesn't need a computer to hook it up to
Emulation is the way to go
Sir. I just got this mini pc. and the kinhank 12tb. anything above ps2 lags so hard its unplayable? could this be a setting? or a bad rom? im new to all this which is why i went "plug n play". any help would be greatly greatly appreciated. thank you in advance!
not the controller lags. the game itself
Awesome! A bit pricy for me, I settled for a Beelink Series 5 with 5800H CPU. Should be good for up to PS2 and DOS emulation hopefully.
Definitely will be good for that for sure
@@RetroGamingGuy
Smashing!😀
I have a SNES Classic Mini. The specs are minimal. I tried PS1 and DOS emulation but it is too underpowered.
Want to try my favourate DOS games on the Series 5. Its literally been 20+ years since i played them (Blood, DN3D, Mega Race II, Shadow Warrior)
What Front End would you recommend - Batocera, LaunchBox, Steam, others?
Great video. You tested the 16 GB version as compared to the 32 GB version, correct? If so, for an extra 40 bucks the 32 GB version might be worth it. It is incredible the amount of games (and not just retro games either) this thing can run. Like I have said before, if we all start investing in these mini PCs, maybe just maybe GPU manufactures may notice the trend and start to reduce the cost of the recent GPUs that cost a fortune.
Totally agree and yeah the 16 was tested
@@RetroGamingGuy Thanks man! I was watching your giveaway on my kitchen TV so I couldn't participate in your chat. However it was pretty exciting, even if I didn't win anything. That was okay it was still fun, and thanks for that.
Can it be a streamer?
Just bought this and set up batocera. Looks great until Xbox 360 Halo. Plays fine but graphics look like ass…. I’m sure it’s some stupid setting or something but I can’t figure it out
French version of Halo. I knew right away lol
I`m getting confused now?? which one is better the Beelink SER6 or the Beelink SER 7 pro ? great video`s thanks!
By specs the 7 is slightly better but in my opinion it's not enough to justify such a massive price increase so I say go with the 6 max and keep over $200 in your pocket
@@RetroGamingGuy Thank you so much for your reply! really appreciated!
Plain & simple - does this system already have the games on it ???? I’ve looked at a ton of these videos & can’t get an answer.
Thanks !!!
No, none of these mini PCs come with games or emulators installed, just Windows 11.
@@uselesslegs1
Thanks buddy !!!
We switched the wife over to Mint about a year and a half ago. Zero issues.
Could a person put faster ddr5 ram in?
Sure
Laptop would be better far as the power cord coming out or power loss. My laptop was over 700.00 but 500.00 sale. Comes with a screen. And you could still hook it up to tv hdmi.
tha main thing is CPU, 7735HS is a second top leve of last AMD gen moble cpus.
Can I use this mini pc on a Samsung tv?
If the TV has HDMI in then of course you can.
In 3 years expect better small form factor PC’s to land with external GPU support 😊
This one does have external GPU support.
Is this thing preloaded with games?
no you would have to set that up yourself.
$600 screw that
I picked it up for $409.00 on Amazon.
I just bought one on eBay for $380 taxes and shipping included
price up 609.00
Beelink SER6 Max Mini PC 16gb 512ssd mv $430.00
We already know mate.
I'm sure not all know
I think I'd get the barebones Minisforum model because you can pick your own RAM and storage and it just uses a regular barrel jack for power instead of that crappy, flimsy proprietary magnetic nonsense Beelink uses. Trust me, it will break and you will pay a fortune to replace it! Also, the Minisforum will be cheaper once their brief $80 off promotion is over. Anyone who is watching this thinking they'd better save their money, will be better off planning to get the Minisforum barebones model. You can probably get storage and RAM cheaper today than they would have spent 3 months ago when they actually built the damn thing. IDK why anyone sells anything other than barebones. It economically makes no sense when you consider lead times and rapid price drops over time.
click bait thumbnail. Where is the switch emulation
Giveaway?? Me please!
Your links to the product are bs, was going to sub anyway but then i seen the subscribe to view, dont like that at all.
Sorry to hear that. If you were going to subscribe anyways....what exactly is the issue though?
@@RetroGamingGuy Even when you subscribe it doesn't let you use the link lol, it's just a product plug anyway, not a file or anything. Kinda sucks, I would have subbed based on the videos you make, being forced to sub to follow a link to see a product doesn't sit well with me, it's a bit cheeky. wish you the best of luck anyway.
It unlocks so if you go back to the first screen it's now clickable. Here's the direct link though right here.

@@RetroGamingGuyJust as an FYI it doesn't work for me using the Android app. Had to do it in a browser. I was ready to give up TBH until I thought of that.
Just bought this from the amazon link. Hopefully this seller is reliable. I bought it twice from Ali express only to get 2 refunds because those sellers were selling things they don’t have stock of 😂
Is this thing preloaded with games?
No.
