The fact that there’s no age limit to the “craziness” is pretty interesting when the grandparents showed up.
I don’t want to think about my great grandma killing my grandma while she was still alive because I had a really good bond with her and I don’t want to see her acting like that.

Usually the advice is pretty good, but with the first murder, taking the time to see and think about what caused the housekeeper to go nuts is a terrible idea.
Fleeing the scene of a murder, and leaving the murderer far behind is a MUCH better idea.

Facts me being a foster kid makes this an absolute win my parents have no parental rights making me an orphan so I’d be safe. They can’t have my location legally anyways so I should be able to survive this
I wonder if they'll make a sequel. I'd like to learn about where this static came from, and if they either take your advice to have all of the children being raised by foster families.(yes, you meant it in a different way, but that essentially what is going on) Or if they find a way to stop this thing.
Plot twist: one of the foster parents is actually a biological parent of one of foster kids and their plan was to get into the system so they could find their biological child and kill them.

Not gonna lie, I, considering that every parent is trying to get rid of their children, would have probably just asked my grandparents to "pick me up" from my parents. Might be cold blooded, but definitely should make a good exit strategy if they show up.

The housekeeper caught a glimpse of "The Kill Your Family Show". It has very compelling dialogue such as "Kill your family!" and "Kill your family!" and no one can forget the amazing performance when the lead actor said "Kill your family!"

I think the kid would be safe. Grandparents are often as close as the parents are to the kids but don't go murderous on the grandkids. Unless the link is directly connected to link than closeness adopted kids just don't have that genetic link.
I’d say they are safe tbh. Only your bio parents will have the urge if your not their kid they will disregard you like the girl who’s best friend got murked for example. Adopted kids their parents aren’t their real parents making them safe.
I feel like this could have been solved easily if kids of different parents went after each other, since the parents only had killing intentions towards their own

Well that could work but only if it's possible that the child can for sure over power the parent because we see that even though they don't have killing intentions twords other people's kids the parents don't seem scared to kill other kids if those same kids are getting in the way seeing as the mom and dad had no problem almost killing the boyfriend when he attempted to stop them
They took the phrase "my parents are gonna kill me" too literally
this is honestly one of my worst fears
the fact that your parents the people who raised you and is in the same place as you (possibly) can turn on you any time any day is just horrifying
I mean, realistically speaking, anyone can turn on you at any time.

Yeah statistically you're more likely to be killed, raped, or assaulted by someone you know. That's why when a spouse is dead, they look at the husband or wife first. So we already live in a world were the people you're closest to can hurt you like that. That's another reason why the police rule out people you know if you're found dead before they look at strangers.

It seems like in the movie, they’re just intent on killing their own direct biological offspring. The grandfather didn’t do anything to hurt the little boy, and it looked like the grandmother was trying to protect the daughter from her mother (or at least wasn’t interested in harming her either). But it is fun to think about what would happen if each familial generation were out to kill one another. Grandparents vs parents vs kids

Have you watched 'The Caller (2011)'? It involves a woman in 2011 receiving a phone call from a woman in 1979. The two get on, but the 2011 woman accidentally convinces the 1979 woman to murder her husband (in 1979). The 1979 woman goes on to stalk the woman as a child and kills people close to her.
That movie is absolutely wild - I hope he gets around to it someday.

I see the movie as a representation of the feeling of prey-predator relationship that some children feel they have with their folks.
Another method is to crimp the end of the garden hose shut: pressure either builds and means the gas will take the path of least resistance (like any weak point anywhere in the hose or the flow is compromised and the gas can't flow as fast, buying Carly and Josh A LOT more time.
Obviously, don't use anything electrical that put off sparks:

He didn’t go out of his way to kill him, he was directly in the way of completing his goal. If the boyfriend was less antagonistic to him, the dad would probably have been passive aggressive towards him at most.

The one thing I was really annoyed about was that when her friend was still alive, she went up those stairs way too slowly knowing that there's a dangerous situation going on, she should have gone up those stairs so much quicker

Yeah the thinner trail wouldn't work because as soon as you lit the match at the bottom the gas in the room would ignite and kill them.
I'm not sure the foster parent idea would work, since other parents seem unconcerned with other parents doing the same thing. Seems like they'd just end up helping the parents or just not caring about the other kids.
