My suggestion would be to use double sided sticky tape on your worktop - a small piece would be enough to hold the cap while you drill through it. Other than this comment, just keep saving the planet by reducing the plastic waste through re-purposing such as these! Well done!²,

Among four ideas, I think only the third one is sensible!! The first & second one better go out to buy especially the first one quite a lot of things to do to make it. The fourth one is too small as a tool box. Anyway, still try hard to squeeze some ideas to re-use plastic bottle and help the environment!!
