    Best way to describe Kuva is by calling it the philosopher's stone. Theres also blue Kuva that has the same continuity effect as Red Kuva but its temporary. The sentient could heal its sterilisation cause the Kuva would heal the damage caused by the void, making it whole.

    It feels like that consciousness property thing was just the first application the Orokin had for kuva. They did not care about the void either, until one socially outcast scientist discovered void travel.
    The orokin could have done a lot more with kuva, but didn't see a need for it beyond extending their lives into immortality.

    • @corgthemighty
      @corgthemighty  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      That's actually a fantastic point. Like there was so much they could have done with it, but they had no idea about it until further void research.

    I always felt like DE had to explain kuva based on how it works with riven mods. Idk what came first, kuva, rivens or the lore, but kuva is a liquid that is *changing* something. It transfers minds, it changes or even welds bodies together. In my mind, kuva is synonymous to changing, and in itself it changes it's own purpose from time to time. From transfering minds to healing bodies to making a mod change it's properties. Are rivens explained somehow in the lore at all?

    • @corgthemighty
      @corgthemighty  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      I personally couldn't find anything specific connecting rivens to kuva, but as I've talked with more people, the whole "changing" definition makes more sense and could just explain that when applied to riven mods it changes or alters them.

    I think kuva bring able to make the lichs pseudo immortal does work because a lich isn't properly created until a warframe interfaces with a kuva larva. So now there so full of kuva that they kinda resonate with the warframe, transforming, gaining warframe abilities and there ability to revive. We probably use the reqrium mods to interrupt that resonance making them able to be killed

    • @corgthemighty
      @corgthemighty  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      So in that sense, Kuva Liches are Grineer soldiers so hopped up on Kuva that they become essentially invincible, and the requiem mods are a detox?

      @eclipsedarksouls6036 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@corgthemighty in a way, yah. Though i think of it more as them becoming more warframe like. As well based on a lot of the dialogue we do kill or nearly kill them in when we make a lich. So if i had to guess the kuva liches are Ethier an prototype or a byproduct of an attempt to revive the elder queen

      Maybe specifically adaption to the parazon itself- you know the blade that ends up specifically being catered to do what we have to do(kill what cannot die for one reasonor another- honestly I'm afraid it ends up killing its victims in a deeper way than just skindeep)- but that may be why we end up going about it the way we do- we are having our blade whisper it's true name or repeat that what was said in its ritual... calling their mortality back to them

  • @THERATSANDTHERATS

    I think a neat point to add since it was mentioned was that while sentients are weak to void, void itself has some intresting properties, the Orokin were for all accounts immortal, I mean Ordiris before getting shoved into a Cephalon stabbed a Orokin "To death" only for them to get back up meer moments later, this seems if were judging based on liches, to be due to Kuva, where simple wounds and even death are nothing more then a issue, but the thing about Void energy is it DESTROYS energy and life it seems, capable of killing Liches but more importantly killing the Orokin and Sentients in a similar process by destroying the Oro of the being aka THE SOUL, the Void actively seems to kill the Oro of a being which is what makes the Orokin so Immortal while the sentients only have a very basic fabricated soul which allows them to be killed by more normal means but that weird like light you pick up after killing a Sentient seems to be their Oro so you're basically eating their soul, and it seems Kuva also doesn't do anything if you don't HAVE Oro since there would be no mind to transfer
    Makes me wonder if the grieneer queen can live again since she got void blasted and was a Orokin, meaning she had Oro, meaning that Oro probably got destroyed

    • @corgthemighty
      @corgthemighty  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I mean I kind of hope that the Elder Queen is able to stay dead if nothing else than she gets to rest. Thank you for the detailed breakdown though it was very interesting!

    Unum is pronounced oo numb, according to the Ostrons, the people who live under its protection.
    That out of the way, there's a hint in the Duviri Paradox that indicates that Kuva is void energy contained in a fluid. There are also hints around Duviri and the Zariman that indicate that the Void is the cognitive realm, the other side of the dualistic reality, with the universe as we perceive it being the physical realm. All minds, to some extent, are of the void, just as all matter is of the universe. This does tie all the things Kuva does together. Kuva is quite literally magic juice. I wouldn't be surprised if it was somehow tied into the making of the infested and, by extension, the warframes, along with any number of other trans-human processes.
    As for the sterilization of the Sentients... well, their first exposure to the Void seems to have made them self-aware. Their second exposure to the Void supposedly destroyed their reproduction protocols, which they believe was an intentional void-allergy implanted in them by the Orokin. But the Void, or rather, The Indifference, is known to meddle with that which enters it, bestowing sapience, madness, mutation, phenomenal cosmic power, the works. I wouldn't be surprised if everything, the Sentients' self-awareness, their turning on their creators, their sterilization and increased animosity towards their creators, all of it, was the deliberate act of The Indifference. Kuva, on the other hand, contains the power of the Void, but does not seem a tool for The Indifference to meddle through. So, if The Indifference sterilized the Sentients, it would make sense that Kuva would be able to reverse the process.

    Kuva and what it can do being a little weird and all over the place probably comes from ita void connection. Void has power over consciousness but it is also just plain power that can be used, considering its void connection that can explain why it can repair the damage caused to sentients by the void.

    No mention of Grandma's Blue Kuva mention in her story from the Naberus Mobile, which can also transfer consciousness, but only temporarily.
    As for explaining the various things Kuva can do... The way I've understood it is that there are dozens of Kuva varients, Red being the predominant one, blue being a muted version, and the Unem's, which I'd wager is a purple color just for my own fun and function, is just... Weird. Like the Unem her/itself. And the definition, while wonky, is more akin to "Manipulating Life" than "Manipulating Consciousness."

    the way the void works is effectively like living in a 40k style warp area where "i think therefore i am" gets applied to individual trains of thought. Void travel hurts the adapting robots, the unum's kuva is a soothing variety cause nature preserve/luxury hotel thus is able to fix things in a gentle prodding kind of way. Kuva is how cephalons are made i'm 90% sure and we get a pretty good description of its less than gentle formulations out of Ordin Karis.

    • @corgthemighty
      @corgthemighty  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@user-hr8gr7qf5s Great questions. So, the way I see it, the Void is basically space magic and can do a lot of stuff right? Imagine taking the Void's craziness, and distilling it down into a liquid form, that's Kuva essentially, you drink it and there are a plethora of wild things that can happen.
      As for its Origin, we know the Void would sometimes leak into the Origin system every so often even before the Orokin accessed it, meaning there were probably some Kuva clouds floating around that the Orokin somehow figured out how to turn into Kuva. Then they probably started using it in a bunch of things, the Orokin towers being one of them.
      There's also this thing called conceptual embodiment, that says that, when you're in the Void, strong thoughts and emotions can come into reality (ie, you imagine it hard enough, and it will appear in the Void). There's a theory that Kuva kind of works the same way, where its effect on you is based on what you imagine it can do which could explain the various things it can do. (But that's just a theory I believe)
      So summarizing, Kuva clouds have probably been around for a while and that's where the Orokin first got Kuva, while Kuva itself is a magic space Kool-Aid from the Void that might be able to do whatever the people that drink it imagine it can do.
