60 Meals for $70 | Budget Friendly Meals | Emergency Grocery Budget Meal Plan

  • This meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner for nearly 1 week for around $70.
Some of these recipes take a little bit of time so it’s up to you if you’d like to spend a little more for the convenience of some ready-made substitutions.
I highly recommend looking for the least expensive grocery store near you, like Walmart or Aldi. I currently shop at Aldi, as it’s the cheapest option near me, but be sure to compare prices before shopping by using the stores’ app and searching for the products you need.
Find all the recipes and a grocery list here:

One of the things she has said in her videos is that she searches the website for the ingredients she needs, makes a meal plan and then makes the budget based off the prices.
You may not have the comparable prices at the specific store she shops at but you do have stores with low prices and can do the same research she does to get a similar budget.

You’re welcome! ☺️ it’s been a game changer for me! I love making homemade broth now. It’s so easy and tastes so much better than store bought, in my opinion. And the chicken fat is so easy to work with and adds so much flavor 😋 I can’t wait to hear what you think when you try them!

Wanted to let you know that tiny pieces of chicken that come off of chicken bones after cooking it for broth can be used for making potstickers, which can be eaten with a dipping sauce or in wonton soup or egg drop soup for another meal. Little time consuming, but worth it. 😊

I don't live in the states, so a lot of these are just ideas that I can adjust.
Love what you've done. I started making my own bread a year ago. I hardly ever buy bread...
Love your tortilla basic recipe. Will make it with my daughter who loves tortillas.
For those who say that they don't get the prices etc: shop around. I go to two to three places to get food cheaper. And yes, I work, study, take care of my kids and household and am building my own business.
Prices vary. We don't have coupons, we don't have the ridiculous low prices or huge bags of food where I live. Just make it work.

You can make a 2 ingredient Naan/ flatbread. Combine Greek yogurt with self rising flour. Combine until dough ball forms. Pinch off enough for 1. Flatten it out and brown in a pan. It's easy to make a huge stack and refrigerate or freeze.

While I applaud you for the budget friendly meals that look yummy I feel like the prices are not attainable for a lot of people. Aldi is not a common store and their prices are not comparable to any place else. I wish you would have done a store more available to people so the price comparison is not so far off because these items would have easily been a hundred dollars or more. I really like what you did with the ingredients though.

My local Walmart has almost identical prices and some things are cheaper there while some things are cheaper at Aldi. Some people have told me their local Kroger is cheaper than my Aldi but our Kroger brand stores are super expensive, so I definitely think it depends on the area. Maybe you could see if your Walmart has similar prices? I know most other stores are so expensive these days
