- This meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipes! I spent about $50 and took advantage of as many sale items as possible.
Some of these recipes take a little bit of time so it’s up to you if you’d like to spend a little more for the convenience of some ready-made substitutions.
I highly recommend looking for the least expensive grocery store near you, like Walmart or Aldi. I currently shop at Aldi, as it’s the cheapest option near me, but be sure to compare prices before shopping by using the stores’ app and searching for the products you need.
For the full grocery list and recipes, head on over to my blog:

Here’s the meal planner I use for my shopping: a.co/d/f5Z15yy
Dishes I made in this plan:
Oven Roasted Whole Turkey
Cranberry Sauce
Mashed Potatoes
Potato Pancakes
Breakfast Sandwiches
Thanksgiving Leftover Casserole
Turkey Shepherd's Pie
Turkey Pot Pie
Turkey Pho Noodle Soup
And a few others!

You are the most inventive meal planners on a budget. Some others are very repetitive, so I don't get new ideas. Also, you add tons of veg and items like tofu. As a vegan, it's very helpful to see what you come up with. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into your channel ❤
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate you saying that ☺️ I’m so glad you’re able to find some inspiration from the recipes!
I grew up only having what we called shepherds pie after Christmas . My mum made it with leftover turkey . I believed it was called shepherds pie because of the shepherds who visited the stable at Christmas. I was shocked to find out that it had nothing to do with Christmas ,when I was 18 I still love turkey Christmas shepherds pie
I just love that!! What a lovely memory ☺️
Omg it’s that easy to make bread 🍞 wow 🤯 thanks for taking the time to make this video 👍🏾
You’re welcome! I hope you love it!
If you put your aromatics in the microwave for a few mins before putting into the turkey cavity, it gives off more flavor into the bird. I do the same thing when I roast a chicken. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
Oooh!! I’ll try that! Thank you so much for the tip! ☺️
I do that too! ❤
Thanks for the tip!
I love your videos! I think your content is so helpful and valuable as we are all trying to stretch our grocery dollars. Thank you!
Thank you so much! That’s so nice of you to say! 😊
Your homemade cranberry sauce would have made a nice “jam” for either of your breakfast/turkey sandwiches!
Oh my goodness! That’s absolutely brilliant!! I’ll have to try that
Martha Stewart's pot pie crust is done in a food processor. It is only a top crust. It is really easy to do. It looks like you did just fine, though. :) -Kryste
Thank you! I’ll definitely have to check that one out! It sounds easy!
I make a Spanish shredded chicken in my InstaPot. Add chicken, chicken broth and 1 can of Rotel w green chili's. Cook.until done, shred with 2 forks. Add a few tablespoons of sour cream and stir. Great for street tacos, taquitos, Mexi bowls, enchiladas, etc. Freezes well too!!!
Yum!! I do that with salsa! I’ll have to try that with Rotel next time. So fast and delicious! 😋
Wow! What an amazing variety of things to make with the Thanksgiving leftovers. Thanks for the ideas!
You’re welcome ☺️ I hope you enjoy the recipes! Have a great Thanksgiving!
Just made my first dinner. Rolls turned out great
Yay! I’m so glad to hear that!
Impressive! I don't like turkey very much but I will try all these recipes with chicken instead. Thanks for sharing!!!
You’re welcome! I hope you love them! ☺️
You're such a gift! Do you think that round loaf would work well for a spinach artichoke dip bread bowl bake? Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you so much! And it’s so funny you say that because that’s exactly what I’m going to do with one of the round loaves for Thanksgiving! I’m going to use it as a bowl for my spinach dip! ☺️ I think it’ll be perfect!
I really love your videos! Ty so much! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you SO much! I appreciate that ☺️ Happy Thanksgiving too!
Couple of suggestions for consideration: adding a pinch of turmeric to your pot pie filling won’t make your dish seem so beige! And thyme adds good flavour too!
Yum!! Ok! I’ll give that a try! Thank you for the suggestion ☺️
Yes I don’t make a chicken or turkey pot pie without a little thyme. Everything looked really good and really want to give that stuffing and potato pattie sandwich a try. Thanks for the great ideas 😊
@@emmsmom1848 I hope you love everything! ☺️
I don’t use milk in my mashed potatoes, I keep about 3/4 cup potato water. I use as you do milk.
That’s brilliant! I need to try that. I love that it’s so budget friendly too!
So many yummy dishes, but you must have been ready for a long break from turkey and related sides after this week! :)
Yes absolutely! 😅 we were ready to mix things up after this week

My Aldi had vegetables for 49 cents as well , but a can of sweet peas was 95 cents
Oh wow! Thats interesting how different the prices are at each store. Hopefully they’ll bring the prices down on Wednesday for y’all!
That breakfast stuffing potato sandwich looks like it belongs in a restaurant for $ 20!!! Yum!!!
Thank you so much!! ☺️ It was certainly fun to make!
I make the same thing but I use all my leftover thanksgiving food. I put the turkey all the veggies in then cover with gravy then top with the mashed potatoes on top then top with cheese
@@lindadobranetski6302 yum!!
I swear I already seen this one! Love your channel
Thank you so much! I went shopping for this meal plan a little less than 2 weeks ago so you may have seen the shopping trip 😄
Hi Laura! I’m new to your channel and I really love it! You have a real talent for meal planning and your recipes look amazing!

Yum!! I love that! I’m going to give that a try next time ☺️
Ti use biscuits on top of pot pies
Yum!
I still have a 11 pound turkey in freezer for 1.29 at aldi last Nov 23
I love it! I have 2 in my freezer still 😅
I'm I doing something wrong when I try to make a pot pie with potatoes to freeze it never turns out. The potatoes always have a funny texture. My granny made potato pancakes all the time I loved them as a kid and don't laugh but I'd dip them in ketchup. Happy Thanksgiving
Try using gold potatoes instead! I feel like they hold up better for freezing. ☺️ I bet my kids would love them with ketchup! That actually sounds good haha. Kind of like a giant French fry 😄
I use my electric mixer to mash the potatoes
That’s a great tip! Thank you ☺️
Grocery outlet has 5 pounds of carrots for 3.99
Nice!
How much flour do you use for the 2 loafs? I want to try making this!
I have the recipe in the blog post for you ☺️ I use 425 grams of flour per loaf and it comes out beautifully! I also just eyeball the honey, so it may be more than a teaspoon
@@LauraLegge thank you so much
@@gingerphillips1194 you’re welcome!

😄
Ee just live turkey sandwiches
Yum!!
My aldi butter is 1.90
Wow! Thats an incredible deal!
Is this 45 meals for a family for an individual, like 45 servings?
It’s 45 servings 😄
You very often buy yeast , would it not be cheaper to buy a lg pkg?
It definitely would! Since I’m usually doing these meal plans to show almost everything I purchase except for spices most the time, I try to just include it in the shopping trip. It would definitely be more cost effective to buy a large package if making bread all the time ☺️
I thought about this too! But I think separate packages are way more beginner friendly as well as tight budget friendly for the short term ❤
Man, 12 eggs in my area start are nearly $5.
Oh wow! 😰
Oh...
45 serves not 45 meals. 🥰
Yes ☺️
❤
