I feel for the most part they have relatively sounded and stayed the same. Just a natural progression of their sound. Even on their selftitled albun which people bitch about them trying to be mainstream which ill argue isnt the case. Sure they maybe have tried something slightly new, but its still a killer album as a whole and songs like wasteland and rapture in Exile still show that they remain pretty true to themselves. Their most recent album is also pretty badass and feel it kinda brings the band full circle.
Darkest hour was never chaotic hardcore in my opinion. Very rooted in that mid 90s melodeath. Had almost.almost a thrashy element to it. The album they did after this one cant remember the name of it( had sound the surrender on it) was the first one they did that had a "change" to the sound and feel of of their sound.
Haha I remember they wrote this about my home state because they got arrested or pulled over by highway patrol or something I can't remember. I do recall them missing a gig with Thrice and Poison the Well back in 2003 in Oklahoma City haha
Yep. Was about phony charges on pot and they had to spend the afternoon in jail. They were just passin through oklahoma on tour. This song is an F you to the state and its police.
Very artistic white boy metal love it lol sound good asfk other then i don't know what he's saying lol i'm saving it to my watch list and will search for more from you. I support you supporting my home state.
The first 2 albums are nowhere near as fast and intense as this one. I would consider this album to be its own beast. Its the only DH album ever to have good production as well
@@raconbacon5649 The big one with both undoing ruin and deliver us is the drum sound. Its slop with no punch. Sadist nation drum sound is just relentless with snare front and center.
There's 99 songs like this from the early darkest hours. No closer than a stranger Treason in Trust This is how we decay Eclipse ......and so much more
Y'all act like you know how it was growing up in Oklahoma in the 1980n 90s lol. Everything was the devil until my brother n me formed our own Metalcore band and everyone ironically embraced it after hating it my whole life. Had tons of local and family support despite their ideals! Lol
Has a band ever performed on the back of a flat-bed truck, and just drove around playing their music? if i was a newer band i would do this just for the publicity cause i dont think it's ever been done. I'm sure it's illegal and eventually you get arrested, but you'd have a lot of media buzz.
@MoshPitPanda326 Calm down buddy, it's just a joke. It wasn't supposed to be clever, it was supposed a stupid joke! If don't like it, I'm sorry if I ruined your day.
Literally typed in Oklahoma Dark to find creepy things on TH-cam about my state and found this fucking video. What a happy unexpected surprise.
Check out Chat Pile. One of the best heavy bands out right now and from OKC! Also check out Black Magnet from OKC too. Heavy Industrial Music.
I love this video for exactly what it is. You can really tell by the footage how cramped it is in that van.
what an awesome band
Love from the 405/918 .. 2021 had to make a visit after all these years .
1:55 Kriss Norris wearing Amon Amarth t-shirt haha.
I like this guy!
And their drummer wearing a Cripple Bastards t-shirt. These guys got good taste. It’s no wonder where they get their influences.
I used this video in a flash project in 2004. I passed the class cause of this.
One of the guitarists wearing an a on Amarth shirt. HELL YES!!!!!
I saw that too!! I didn't even know they were out at 2004
+Codie Butts amon amarth has been around since mid 90s. lol
@@greysinclaire Shit, I didn't know they were still a thing
Most underrated band out there
This song, and the album it belongs to, are such classics. Too bad Darkest Hour doesn't really sound like this anymore.

Man, what I wouldn't give to see those three bands play together. Must have been You Come Before You / Artist in the Ambulance era. Damn.
@@neszeroIt sure was. Just purity from that era and I miss it.
Trustkill records sampler cd with DVD is how I found out about Darkest Hour. Along with It Dies Today!
