Hopefully the subtitles are not too bad, I didn't really realize how small and weirdly placed they are, thanks TH-cam 🤦♀ But I figure most people have already seen it or can at least figure out what's going on!
Yeah, this one's surprising in so many ways. I mean, Korean horror films have a reputation for being far beyond what's done elsewhere, but the depth of Train to Busan is incredible.
Wow! Just when I thought I was tired of zombie movies, Train to Busan comes along. The action is relentless, and the emotional impact is devastating. I was not prepared for how invested I'd get in these characters. A true masterpiece
A true masterpiece. A great zombie movie in itself, and than so much more on top, that really make it stand out. Sure, some personal drama and even social commentary is common even in horror movies, but not nearly in this depth and with so much impact. Plus great acting, that girl deserves every award out there for her performance. And no matter how often I rewatch this movie, the end brings me to tears every single time.
Wow, 8 years old, how is this great movie already 8 years old? Time has disappeared in the blink of an eye!! They made zombies truly frightening again with this one.
I have seen this movie at least 10 times, maybe more. And I am still balling my out….her crying and screaming reminds me of losing my own parents(they are still here for many years hopefully) but his death scene is so damn beautiful…. I can literally only hear the music, without voices or visuals and I wil still be a complete wreck😭
@@RhetoricalThrill It even gives me chills just thinking about it, i literally tell everyone i know to watch it. But i get mostly 2 answers, it is either t can’t really watch other language movies(those people really are missing out🤷🏼♀️)or I don’t like zombie movies. But it is so much more than that. I personally don’t even have children and am definitely not planning on it, but his acting was so good that I was able to feel everything. And then his shadow slowly falling as the music played……how does only thinking of that just make me tear up..🥺 And I agree 100 procent with you, what great casting for the dads huh😳🤣
I don't care what anyone says, Koreans make the best zombies. I thought I'd hold my own in an outbreak until I watched this and 'All of us are dead', now I'm not so sure. I'd probably just walk into the crowd and play the speedbump. I'm too old and my knees are shot.
I am a simple person, I see a Rhetorical Thrill notification, I click watch because it’s gonna be good, this was no exception and exceeded expectations! Thank you for the reaction and commentary!
I love this movie and I also cry a river with it and same as you! The girl is an amazing actress and a lot of people cry with her but for me it’s the way the father’s face crumbles (a big applause to Gong Yoo for that)
Never been a fan of zombie movies but this one got so much attention I had to give it a try. Wow! The zombies are incidental. This movie is about who we are in the face of adversity.
Props to Train To Busan for giving us the most hated normal person in a zombie movie ever 😅 Someone should have kicked that business A-hole off the train when he started causing a panic. For some more Asian train hijinks - Bullet Train (amazing ensemble cast) and The Hunted 1995 (with Christopher Lambert)
The dad character was the actor Gong Yoo. This is not the biggest tear jerker scene he's done. The last couple episodes of the 2016. fantasy series 'Goblin (or Guardian): The Lonely And Great God' were on another level'. In that series they inserted s scene from this film for comic relief!
In a true disaster or attack situation, those who stand alone, die alone. A group has more skills, has more labour, has more strength. There are dangers in that as well, but I know I which I would choose.
I have a tiny issue with child/teen actors just because majority of the time they’re not good enough to properly pull emotional scenes off successfully and if I can tell the acting is weak it pulls me out of the scene too much and I lose my investment with the emotions I’m “supposed” to feel. But holy cow this little girl blew my mind and had me bawling my eyes out 😭 so talented at such a young age.
Hello Rhetorical, How was your weekend, everything okay? The movie was incredible and I had the opportunity to see it in the cinema when it premiered 😱 There are also people who say that you shouldn't be excited about the story and there are even criticisms of some content creators who get excited! What do you think about this?
I think the best reactions are the real ones. Whatever the feeling, whether the viewer agrees or not, it should always be genuine. It’s part of the process. I hope you are well too!

that's the best way to die before turning to a zombie is to think of the happy moments even for the few moments left

I fell apart while editing it, and on every check I did after 😭
I promised myself not to watch that movie again. Not even another reaction. Yet here I am crying like the moron I am. 😭
That means a lot, it’s not one you want to come back to!

I had a baby the year this came out, time does fly for sure!
From what I've seen of your channel you are not an overly emotional person, this movie is on a whole other level than most as far as emotion.
You’re right, I think I’m pretty empathetic in general but I rarely “lose it” lose it. This one knew how to do it 😭

Ahhhhh, this makes sense now. This was such a sad film. That ending....a real kick to the nuts. Modern horror classic though.
💯

Yeah no, I’m not built for that world. I’ll only make it if I have a Sang-hwa to carry me 😂
Nuanced, action-filled, and innovative in a genre already full.

I think most parents can relate, when something terrible is happening and you hold it together for them until you just can’t anymore 😭

Very much so! I think the best ones are more about humanity than anything else.

One of my all-time favorite zombie movies, so happy to see more people watching it :)
💜
As a Korean, I’m glad you liked this movie! Enjoyed your video✨
Thank you!
It's the little girls acting. It kills you. One lesson. Even with thr most absent of dad's, their last thoughts will be their babies
She was amazing
You perfectly summed up this movie at 7:11 when you said “aaAAooaa”.
😂
Hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
I hope you are!

Parts like that in the film gave me TOTAL World War Z vibes with the HUMONGOUS horde of zombies piling up.
I didn’t see that one but I’ve heard about it, yes very similar vibes
"You contributed your three and a half minutes"
(*spit-take*) ... dammit, ya made me spit my drink all over my laptop screen
Excellent 😈
Very cool reaction as always
Love ya Cody!!!

Humans are pretty much designed to go at life together in the end. I’d never make it on my own in a real survival situation
I@RhetoricalThrill I watched your Field of Dreams reactiion then this....and am now following you. Great reaction
Thank you! Glad to have you 😊
Simple but impactful movie, well acted as well.
Such a simple concept but says a lot about humans

💯 agreed
If only we know how sad it was going to be 😭 love it 👊🏼
I even had a warning 😭
React The Odd Family : Zombie On Sale korean zombie movie
I don't think I've ever been on a train...I'm American btw but that was probably obvious.
Pretty good reaction.. !
