@StudentOfLife90 they're talking about how the plot are always different regardless of the generic themes and genres (altho maybe, if you're exposed in South Korea's media, you'll probably say that new production/plot has always the same pattern as their past dramas)
Fact : jimin and Jungkook are also from Busan and the baseball player (Choi woo Shik) is best friend with taehyung in real life now matter how many times I watched this movie and I literally burst in tears🥺
The old lady who died first, the older sister, made the decision to stay behind. In my mind, she knew she was a liability given her age and limited physical ability due to her age, and she didn’t want to burden the group with having to take care of her. The younger sister, the curly-haired old woman, was mad at the people in the car she was in after seeing how their selfishness and fear caused her sister to die (if they’d opened the doors before/let them in earlier, her sister may not have died). So in her anger, given the situation, she made the extreme decision to open the door and put them all to their deaths. She said a line being upset with her sister because she “always put others first” and I got the impression she’s criticizing her sister’s selflessness but ultimately blaming it on the train car people who locked them out in the first place

Train to Busan is my favorite zombie movie. It shows the duality of humanity during crisis. Some folks rise to the occasion and become better people, helping their fellow humans, others succumb to the fear and themselves turn into monsters. My favorite scene is when the little girl is crying on the train staring at both sides. It constantly quick cuts to both sides multiple times. One side has her dad and the badass holding the door, trying to protect them from the monsters. The other side has the humans who have been overtaken by their fear, holding the door trying to protect themselves from them. It begs the question; who is the true monster? The ones on one end who look like monsters trying to kill you, or the ones on the other end who look like humans who are trying to leave you to die? Train to Busan isn't just a horror thriller film. It's a commentary on what it means to be human.
The baseball player Choi wooshik is one of the finest Korean actors and the actor in Oscar winning movie ''Parasite'' highly recommend the movie if you haven't watched it yet. He is also Taehyung's real life best friend. They're so funny together and practically act like twins lol. You can watch them in Jinny's kitchen
The sceams for her dad at the end... I've seen this movie so many times and it's still a knife to the heart.... as well for the singing. I kick myself for waiting so long to see it and can't watch it enought to make up for it. This movie is a true gem and on my top 10 movies ever.

50:01 - You have to remember that this is in slow motion. In reality, this took seconds. Not enough time for In-gil to try to run for the door, or Seok-woo to go back out ahd get her. So she shook her head at him. She didn't want the same thing to happen, that happened at the previous door, where the zombies got halfway through the door.
Omg guys - the way that I watch movies is very particular; like totally engrossed in every scene so I usually skip when others react to movies. But since I had already seen this movie (truly awesome movie), I didn't need to see it. So as I was getting ready for work this morning, your video came up next but I had already closed my tablet case so I couldn't see who was reacting nor could I see what you were reacting to but I could hear you ... and I knew from your voices! this movie is definitely one of my favorites to rewatch every now and then. loved your reactions. if you guys are curious, the zombie movements were choregraphed by a Korean bonebreaking dance crew. Each extra learned the basic movement and choreography and worked with the main choreographer to create their own individual zombie ticks. There's an interview where the male train attendant (who got bit by the female attendant) was talking about how they made the zombie movements and there's also a segment with the choreographer as well. If you guys are interested, here are my recommendations for Korean films and K-dramas: Korean films: Parasite The Handmaiden The Yi Sun-shin trilogy (Hansan: Rising Tiger, The Admiral: Roaring Currents, Noryang: Deadly Sea): this follows three major battles of the Japanese invasion of 1492 told with the perspective of Admiral Yi Sun-Shin who is considered one of the most influential people in Korean history. Honestly I have seen many people reacting on this movie and every youtuber cried at the ending part when he died and I have watched it thousand times but whenever I see that ending part I always end up crying literally I was crying again rn this movie is the emotions but I think it's quite shocking to see that u guys have not cried like first time I saw any people like that 😂❤😅
I strongly recommend “Moving “ from Hulu. It’s Korean drama which I think has lots of elements that you guys would love, such amazing action, great character development, family, love line, funny , gore. I guarantee!!
Listen. The people don't close the door because as far as they're concerned the monsters are just crazed people - but still people - people that know how to open doors. So the characters are logically focusing on speed, hoping to outrun the crazed humans - no time to waste closing a door that will take the same amount of time it took you to close it. It's only when they realise that these things are crazed empty vessels that think to close the door. The father was the first to realise this
That train is actually a ktx train that Koreans often use, but that train automatically closes after the right time, so it cannot be closed arbitrarily.
@@최서연-c2h Oooh! That is a way explanation. But what about opening those kinds of doors? I know here in Holland it doesn't take much for the door to open...just a slight pull. The way the zombies were clawing and banging on those doors I thought that, yeah, sooner or later they would open. But see, now I'm doing it. Overthinking the situation. In almost every reaction that I've watched they scream 'Close the door!!!' and 'RUN!' 'Why don't they run!!?' 'Why are they just sitting there in shock? They oughta be running!!' I've watched enough reactions now to this movie (just a bit obsessed) so I've timed how long someone is stunned and doesn't move. The longest is like 7 or 8 seconds before they snap out of it. It's just not anywhere near as long as people think. Anyway people need to learn how to suspend their disbelief for movies. It feels as though many people have lost or never had this necessary movie watching skill.

Kinda hate when people watch this movie and saying "What are you doing", "Why they don't run", "don't stay there" or "Don't do that" . LOL . You people don't know what are you gonna do, until you are involved in this situation. just STOP
Even in the Squid Game has drama and character buildings. That's why it was so successful. Especially ep.6 was so emotional. I don't like zombie movies, but I recommend Summer watching Squid Game.
8:28 dried anchovies, btw for the earlier beginning scene, there are deer crossing/xing signs on the road in the u.s. in rural, near-forest areas so am thinking they've got the same thing going where a deer can jump out of nowhere, oh just remembered the scene in Get Out where a deer gets hit too...
FOR ME THIS IS THE BEST ZOMBIE MOVIE EVER, THE EMOTIONS, THE THRILL.....LOVE EVERY BIT OF THIS MASTERPIECE ✨🙌 THE MALE LEAD "GONG YOO" IS ACTUALLY WIDELY POPULAR AMONG K-CONTENT WATCHERS, HIS KDRAMA "GOBLIN" IS ONE OF THE MOST SEEN KDRAMA IN THE WORLD😭💗
I also I love Korea American actor, Ma Dong-seok the big dude. I enjoy watching him in the movie, Badland Hunters. I was excited to see him in the Eternals movie as well. Fun fact before he became an actor he was the personal trainer of mixed martial artists Mark Coleman and Kevin Randleman.
It's also genious that the main character (father who died for his daughter) and the main "bad" guy are exactly the same at the start of the movie, but the main character had a character arch of redemption and awareness, where as the main "bad" guy stayed the same. Very interesting juxtaposition.
there's a part 2 but people do not consider it as the part 2 coz it has different characters, it can be a stand alone movie i think? the name is peninsula

In Korea the father normally gets custody even if the mother is a better option. There are so many cases where Korean fathers are living in the US with their American wives and if they get a divorce. If the US court sides with the mother for custody but, there are cases of the father kidnapping their child to Korea where they can have full custody and unfortunately, the mother will not see their child again cuz, the Korean court doesn't recognize the US custody decision. I've seen a docu about mothers having to kidnap their child back from their Korean fathers. It's so sad.

Summer and Abby I suggest you to watch the kdrama Goblin, with the same main actor GongYoo in train for Busan. It’s a romantic and fantastic movie, really good!
For me, Train To Busan is the best zombie movie that ive ever seen😊😊😊
Korean cinema is incredible. they absolutely rule over the zombie genre, but their k-dramas and thrillers and everything are just SO GOOD
Thank you for reacting to this movie. The baseball player his name is Choi Wooshik, a close friends with BTS V, pls react next to the movie PARASITE, won best film years ago, and Choi Wooshik won the best actor. Pls keep it up. And also watch korean dramas, they are so so good. 😊❤
Kinda hate when people watch this movie and saying "What are you doing", "Why they don't run", "don't stay there" or "Don't do that" . LOL . You people don't know what are you gonna do, until you are involved in this situation. just STOP
IKR 😭😭
Exactly! Specially the lady here lol it was kinda getting annoying
Kingdom for a fantastic zombie drama. Sooo good
One of my favorite films 💖💖💖 Korean cinema and tv shows are top tier!!
Even in the Squid Game has drama and character buildings. That's why it was so successful. Especially ep.6 was so emotional. I don't like zombie movies, but I recommend Summer watching Squid Game.
Guys there's also a movie like that one "The flu" it's also Korean and it's awesome
Awww didn't expect daniel is the one tearing up🤣❤ ngl i cried watching this again w you guys!!
I can't trust people not crying to this movie. Cried again with you guys
I hope you guys also check out “sweet home” it also a good show and really emotional
no one is going to talk about how daniel turning red ,fighting with tears
8:28 dried anchovies, btw for the earlier beginning scene, there are deer crossing/xing signs on the road in the u.s. in rural, near-forest areas so am thinking they've got the same thing going where a deer can jump out of nowhere, oh just remembered the scene in Get Out where a deer gets hit too...
i cry whenever i watch it😭
i still cry whenever I see this movie, no matter how many times I've seen it.
Here are some kdramas that I recommend
- My Demon
- A Time called you
- Queen of Tears
- Vincenzo
- 20th Century Girl (This one is a movie)
FOR ME THIS IS THE BEST ZOMBIE MOVIE EVER, THE EMOTIONS, THE THRILL.....LOVE EVERY BIT OF THIS MASTERPIECE ✨🙌
THE MALE LEAD "GONG YOO" IS ACTUALLY WIDELY POPULAR AMONG K-CONTENT WATCHERS, HIS KDRAMA "GOBLIN" IS ONE OF THE MOST SEEN KDRAMA IN THE WORLD😭💗
And welcome to Korean cinema!!
1:05:59 " What's the pregnant lady gonna do?"
" Have a baby " 😄
I also I love Korea American actor, Ma Dong-seok the big dude. I enjoy watching him in the movie, Badland Hunters. I was excited to see him in the Eternals movie as well. Fun fact before he became an actor he was the personal trainer of mixed martial artists Mark Coleman and Kevin Randleman.
Cant wait for you guys to react to more Korean movies & dramas!!!
Just as a side note, I got the train to Busan last year. Going back in November.🇦🇺💜
Yes finally!! One of the best zombie movie😩
39:16 Are u guys blind or something? The zombies are blocking the path. U can't just go.... dafuq
So glad you reacted to this one! It's an amazing movie, and that little girl really did deserve an Oscar, or all the awards!
Original script ending, the COO, pregnant woman and little girl make it to the end and the military shoots the pregnant woman and little girl and the COO ends up surviving but the writers knew people would be pissed so they changed it
I’ve watched this movie so many times and the ending part never fails to to break me each time😂
Jonathan offers great commentation and has great reactions! What a great addition to the team ❤ love this, looking forward for more movie reactions!!!
This hurts every time
I've seen this movie 10 times but I always cry even though I know everything that's going to happen
her scream breaks my heart every time
Maybe he’s immune 🤡
Maybe it’s a robotic arm🤡
Ya’ll played ya’ll selves 😭😭😭

In Korea the father normally gets custody even if the mother is a better option. There are so many cases where Korean fathers are living in the US with their American wives and if they get a divorce. If the US court sides with the mother for custody but, there are cases of the father kidnapping their child to Korea where they can have full custody and unfortunately, the mother will not see their child again cuz, the Korean court doesn't recognize the US custody decision. I've seen a docu about mothers having to kidnap their child back from their Korean fathers. It's so sad.
the old woman sacrificed herself because she probably realized that she could buy time for them to close the door and save her sister and everyone else
the ending of this movie always makes me cry. i was surprised to see daniel cry before summer!
The best zombie film ❤
