- IKEA'S instruction for mounting the top of the cabinet is really poor, here I'm showing a full mount of the steps of Rudsta cabinet that highlights the tricky part. I also show potential problems that I ran into, such as how to make sure the doors are aligned.
* Make sure the four bars for the base frame are put in the correct place (since they are all different).
* Don't forget to put the little "screws as feet" before putting in any glass.
* Do not tighten the back panels fully until you have put in the glass doors (this is really important).
* Don't screw the top of the back panel into place until after the cabinet top is installed.
* The top should be slide into place from the front with the glass doors open.
* Note that the glass shelfs could scratch the metal really easily - so place them carefully.

Note that the front of the top must be pushed in all the way in order for it to reach the back.

Embarrassing, but I didn't realize the doors needed to be open to install the top. It was tipped up and the silver screw were showing from the front and I felt like I was going crazy, couldn't figure it out!
are the shelves adjustable?

Známý se dotazoval přímo společnosti IKEA na nosnost / zatížitelnost polic této vitriny. Byla mu sdělena nosnost 5 kilogramů na polici. Ještě ho zajímal materiál provedení rohových podložek skleněných polic, protože to může být klíčové z hlediska spolehlivosti. Jsou prý z plastu. Plasty často tzv. stárnou a mění tak své mechanické vlastnosti, v řadě případů k horšímu. Tím vším se stala tato vitrina zcela nedůvěryhodná pro můj záměr umístit v ní něco trochu těžšího a cennějšího. Když vidím, co všechno tam lidé dávají, říkám si, že mají velikou odvahu. Tak zas někdy, made in Sweden!

the back of this cabinet should have been made of glass to let in more light.the black rear panel hides dark items.
I'm hoping to fit a mirror if room enough when mine arrive.
