My daughter is getting one exactly like this on Monday, it has 107k miles and is for $8k. But anything else in that price range is $12k plus, at least here in the Denver area. She just needs a reliable point a to b and not much is gonna beat a Honda. My wife and I have a 2013 and 2016 CR-V and had no issues with them and I got my 16 brand new and just hit 113k miles and other than normal maintenance it has been great! I have only ever owned Toyota, Lexus and now Honda and all have been great
I just bought an LX? with 270000 on it for 3 grand. All the whistles and bells still work. AC heat, mp3 and telephone relay - i love it. Its a tight machine that gets me 38 mpg in a semirural locale. She's capable of 43 on long journeys.
You seem to really know your Hondas! I'm looking at one of these now for a 2nd vehicle, Maybe hit is a unicorn but it has a good engine, good transmission. I like unicorns so its all good
@Shakeem worse for what? Style? Look? Who cares about look? if the engine is running perfectly well?. My civic 2012 just hit 350k miles. Not even tiny issues. Most important in the car is transmission and engine rest is bs. There is never be another 2012 Civic. It is a unique car hidden gem.
Yo when you had a hp pc when you was was playing fortnite did you really have a 3.1ghz because for some reason I can't get fortnite and I got a 4gb and a 3.1ghz how did you get it
I hated the 2012 model. I didn't buy it, but I got the 2013 model. I sometimes regretted it as the 2014 model, gave consumers a touchscreen and 147 HP.
@@Shakeem Yeah, I didn't get that model, I got the LX. It was the only model available. All the others were sold out. I hate the knob as selecting my music from the files off the USB, is slow and cumbersome. They never offered firmware to fix this issue.
The 2012 model was cheap. It looked cheap, both inside and out. The hot look from the previous generation was gone. I remember when the young designers from Honda said this generation would be the greatest vehicle ever made. Honda didn't lend the vehicle out early for people to review it. Consumer Reporters slammed the car, saying among all the vehicles tested in the compact sedan category, this Honda Civic wasn't recommended. I remember Honda immediately posted online that it wasn't a fair review. However, just about every review from car.com, Kelly's blue book, and other major review companies, gave the vehicle a thumbs down and poor ratings. Honda's excuse at the time: The economy wasn't doing good in the world, especially in Japan. So they thought cutting back on quality in exchange they'll give great fuel economy and safety was the right decision. Honda was wrong. BTW, the safety also had issues. The plastic dashboard quality was terrible. It was in two pieces. If the vehicle was too hot, the cheap plastic would bend and reshape. It felt uneven. There was a roll-over problem if the 2012 civic had to make sharp turns, and also had breaking issues. The vast majority said the vehicle was ugly and boring to look at. This was embarrassing to Honda. Afterwards, Honda, in the same year the 2012 vehicle was released, refreshed the vehicle in late 2013. The Honda 2013 civic sedan and coupe wasn't made by the original people who made the 2012 version. It was done by the Accord design team. If you look at the 2013 Civic Sedan, it looks like a mini Accord. But after that, they refreshed it again and again to the point consumers lost confidence in them. In 2016, Honda released a new generation Honda Civic and vowed to never make cheap looking vehicles ever again.

That's the beauty of Hondas, they last forever.
2012 lx is the best Honda Civic. Lasts forever.
It is funny that you said that. One of the worst-selling years for the civic was 2012. Honda had to fresh it after just 1 year
