'Tis yourself, young Kev - I take it none of your pals were allowed out to play? Never mind, you're getting pretty good at this - I'm loving the way you've captured the emptiness there! I used to find that so soothing - tramping along where others have for centuries and will do for many more, as just a tiny wee bit of a huge landscape that breathes away and provides for you silently - asking, or needing nothing from you in return! It kind of makes you feel your existence and all it involves is part of a natural order, doesn't it? Like, none of your illness or lack of capacity really matters - and what does matter is that you were just there to experience it, and to make you miniscule contribution to the erosion of the paths you took! Only, had you not taken on that pain in the arse of a descent and went a different way, the landscape of tomorrow, when others that haven't been thought of yet, won't be quite the same! And when you take away all those values that humans inevitably attach to it, it kind of all makes some sense: you stop feeling so useless and instead get that buzz of knowing that even you are taking part in that huge journey of evolution! I hope that's no too deep for a dreich Sunday evening!
Paul, your a poet 😁 you should write a book. Never a truer word said. Makes us feel so insignificant in life eh. Just tiny wee specs of elements in a vast landscape of land mass.
Nice one Kev - " not a soul to be seen" just the way I like it - cracking area and day. Live well, eat healthy and drink le......never mind that bit! 😃😃👍
It was a great day Kevin I was over the other side on Beinn Maol Chaluim. Remember these hills being a tough day out great to see the distant views I had atmospheric autumn day. Great video cheers Jon
What a day that was Kev. Gorgeous views from the tops And even that descent wouldn’t have spoilt it Thanks for another enjoyable one mate. And have a good week. 👍👍👍
You got a great day for your Etive trip Kev. I remember it was a tough ascent up to Meall nan Eun by your descent route, then the summit was at the furthest away point! I liked your Munro Show reference. I never understood why we didn't get more series of it. It certainly got me started climbing hills in late 80s. These days we've got YT to keep us entertained! ATB Derek
Cheers Derek. Aye I met a guy that was ascending Meall nan Eun your way. I can imagine it would be tough. I remember the Munro show when I was young, but I was a young pup in the 80s.😉 Didn't appreciate it till I got older.
Evening kevin. Youre always so positive regardless of what youre dealing with. Amazing. What a stunning location. Making me wish this week away my son and i are heading that way on fri. Wildcamp at loch lomond fri then glen etive to gualachian bothy for a week. Cant wait. Stunning video, what a beautiful day ya had. Really enjoyed watching as usual. Take care
Nice 1 kev, cracking day for it, Some lovely views mate and you are correct the decent and walk our are a pain in the arse. Great way to spend a day Superbos 😊
Kevin, Thank you for the hike. Beautiful place. I asked the AI in ChatGPT why there are no trees. Some of the salt spray from the Atlantic, some from grazing animals, and maybe some went to keep the bothy warm. We have lots of trees here in Minnesota. Glad you get a positive boost from the support you get from your You Tube fans!
Thanks, Tim. Scotland used to be covered in Trees. Scots Pine. There are still remanents of the ancient Caledonian woodland. Think it was declining due to agriculture, many woods were exploited.
Fantastic multi top climb M8t (definitely the Highlands in full glory mega views and a little snow left up high ) 🏔️🏔️🏔️🏴 Epic stuff 👍 Best wishes Simon (Remember Muriel gray’s series on the Munro’s 🤠👍🏔️
Kev your an inspiration mate well done cracking video as normal I crossed the border yesterday to see Skerryvore live (Shrewsbury) brought all the moods and views of highlands into music as do your videos excellent mate keep going pal😊
Nice one Kev. Did these 2 last year and got a decent day as well! Good hills in Glen Etiv and I enjoyed these 2 . As you say the descent was a bit craggy! Atb. Andrew
Nice one kev, you got a braw day for them unlike when I did them. Know what you mean about that descent from the 2nd, it was sodden when I did them and must have went on ma arse about 5 times🤣🤣 ATB Frank.
Very nice hills Kev, perfect timing as well I guess! The only thing which keeps me from doing it is the location - the single track is just a nightmare during season 😒
Cheers Stripey. That was the day you were at a bothy trip in the mamores. The road was a nightmare on the way back. Constantly pulling to one side fir the young campers. 😏
@@Kev_Russ Crazy what a difference regarding the wind! Yeah the problem with a lot of campers is that they park in the passing places and/or can’t drive backwards even when a pacing place is literally 10m behind them and yours is like 100m behind a bend 🤬
Apart from the wee shaky bit that was brilliant Kev 😂 no seriously cracking wee day out in Scotland's Mountain's 🏔️🏔️ the weather god's were on your side even if you had no mates 😂 Superb Kev 👌 atb Brian 👍
Nice one Kevin 👍 I quite enjoyed this duo, but I didn't like the descend from Meall nan Eun and the way back to the car when I did it 4 years ago...I had harder descends on my trips than this one, but for some reason this one will stay in my memories as the most hateful 🙄 Have a great time mate 🌞😎
Great stuff Kev! The shaky video was barely noticeable and didn't detract from the enjoyment of those views. The good weather's getting a bit boring mind....time to get out with Robin again and get a good soaking 😂All the best Kev
Catching up with vids on the bus hame as I get nae signal in the house and the WiFi still no installed. Braw day for it Kev, guid pitching on the second Munro eh. 🏕
