Holding that G note with the pinky at 3:40 and letting it ring while playing the next several notes, just because you can. Just another day at the office for Mr. Joscho Stephan.
I’ve watched several of these with these two amazing players and even though they have a bit different approach they seem to be getting progressively better as they allow each other the space to take the lead as the other does an excellent job of support. You’re both a treat to listen to.
I can't say anything but wow. This is the first time in a while that I've been overwhelmed by how incredible something is. Now I have to listen to this at least 10 times a day for a week....
Im back, just kidding, never left. That jam at the end is awesome. To get so much out of a few notes after you've scaled the entire fretboard speaks volumes.
It is outstanding, but I don't think it's a new genre. To me, this style can be traced back to the collaboration between John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola and Paco de Lucia.
Joscho in concert....take the chance to grab a ticket and enjoy ! Greatest tasteful virtuosity and charming comments....just love to an evening filled with music.
Such incredible music and so beautifully filmed I think. The lesson is really excellent too with great basic and intermediate solos that seem very fun to play and have lots of interesting new ideas. Thank you so much!
i believe that the best solo guitar is suppose to be very meaningful, the solo have to be more melodic , .no matter if is using 16 notes or 400 notes, thats the challenge, in this video i see Bireli Lagrene has more approach in the solo to be melodic, "a solo that paint a landscape , a solo that write story, and you never loose the story until the story is fading" Miles Davis used to say "music is a painting you can hear"
As guitarists, regardless of level, the biggest lesson here is - dont be afraid to play simple when needed, as a springboard to go crazy and complicated afterwards.

Unbelievable how tight this jam is. Amazing stuff.

Bireli is just too good
Bireli from another level ... solo and rythme
Love that Joscho is playing with Bireli and Stochelo Rosenberg these days.
Im back, just kidding, never left. That jam at the end is awesome. To get so much out of a few notes after you've scaled the entire fretboard speaks volumes.
You guys have created your own genre! Outstanding!
It is outstanding, but I don't think it's a new genre. To me, this style can be traced back to the collaboration between John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola and Paco de Lucia.
Isn't it manouche guitar? They stand out in that genre, they are the best
It ain't nothing new, it's jazz. Jazz is a long way back
@@myboy576 this isn’t rly straight ahead jazz but more like gypsy jazz
Oh my God! Seems that guitars are the natural appendices of theirs hands! For me L. Bireli is the best guitarist in the world...
Awesome musicianship from these masters. A pure joy to watch and listen.
I was in another world listening to this. Thanks for that.
Yes and yes...so rock, blues, jazz, fusion and gypsy weren't enough. Now funk is included? I'm putting down my guitar and opening more wine 🍷🍷🍷
Lol... Jascho couldn't help but smile when Lagrene sculpted that sweet chord accent out of thin air at 0:42
When two "great ball players" come together, the result can only be this. Congratulations directly from Brazil!
Definitely the finest rendition of this song that I've ever heard. Magnifico!!
Joscho in concert....take the chance to grab a ticket and enjoy ! Greatest tasteful virtuosity and charming comments....just love to an evening filled with music.
2 of my favorites guitarists: Just beautiful. Keep going we love those videos.
Birellis peaceful face brings me peace as well
Such incredible music and so beautifully filmed I think. The lesson is really excellent too with great basic and intermediate solos that seem very fun to play and have lots of interesting new ideas. Thank you so much!

Absolutely brilliant !
Two monsters. Congratulations from São Paulo Brazil
Joyeux et virtuose. Merci 🦋
Joscho: So, we need a ... Drummer, Bassist, Percussion‘s and a Rhythm Guitar
Bireli: Hold my beer !!!
The absolute class of Bireli is that your ear focuses on him even when he is accompanying
If you're searching 'world-class' this is it.
My gosh...what to say? This is damn near perfection.
Beautiful!!! Please support these wonderful musicians! Thank you very much! All best wishes

"Sunny Anne" is my nickname, so of COURSE I love this version of the song!
I remember when my father bought a debut Album of a New rising Star, age 16, called Bireli

A bast from the past, well done, and highly appreciated.
I was in groove utopia AMAZING ♥️♥️
Excellent! 1966 was a good year.
Birelis melody lines really popped out while Joscho relies a little more on speed. Both amazing and fresh though
Bireli is a risk taker!
So lovely playing!

Sound meraviglioso!!!
Another guitar genius: Birel Lagrene. Joscho is no slouch, either. Great.
@blacknight39 LOL ! don not say that again !! NEVER !! Joscho doesnt play music ... he just knows a lot of licks and he is good technically !
Joscho's a terrific slouch!
Amazing! two genius on the guitar, what a dream.
Very well performed!!!
Guitar heaven!"!

Merveilleux. Tant de générosité. Quel plaisir !
Incredible!!!
Wow!!!!
Cool.
Even Gypsy Jazz can be funky too. Just listen to this one.
I bow in your presence.
Sick. Very sick!
togheter you are magnificents !! Greats !!!
Espetacular! Parabéns! Obrigado por essa obra de arte
FANTASTIC
As good as guitar playing gets!
Simply amazing!
Hell yeah!
Wow!
3:26 I think Bireli seemed a little worried that Joscho was gonna explode cuz that lick was as hot as a 1000 degree knife.
As guitarists, regardless of level, the biggest lesson here is - dont be afraid to play simple when needed, as a springboard to go crazy and complicated afterwards.
Phenomenal!!!
uh yeah, very nice!
