His precision, his feel, his seamless transition between different song styles and his speed are just mind-blowing! For example when he was playing If I had You with Tommy he snuck in a little Hall Of The Mountain King so seamlessly! This performance with Volker and Sven is off-the-scale brilliance! Joscho is a living legend on acoustic and the trio as a whole are unsurpassed!
That "If I Had You" recording is SO GOOD! It made me write out all the chords in my book and strum swing rhythm on my ukulele along with them... And so I keep coming back to it often.

Presently I dont know of anyone so accurate and clean playing a guitar, with expression, with intention while still maintaining a smile like if it was the easiest thing in the world...... And believe me I've seen and know a lot of guitar players both acoustic and electric. Its crazy the amount of work, im sure, this man dedicates to this instrument to reach this level.

since 25 years hes playing stages like that - well, in jakobshof were maybe 15 people, but thats the only thing that changed: joscho just plays everything he likes in the way he wants to play it. and there is a lot of music inside this man. i think we have a good chance to listen to him another 25 years. he looks the same. nice!
