Take you left over avocado half, and take some cling wrap, carefully press the cling wrap down on all surface of the sliced avocado where there is no air(oxygen) between the avocado and the cling wrap, place it in the fridge, it’ll save at least till dinner to eat the rest of it.😃
I grew up in New Jersey in the 60s and 70s and that's how the subs were made at deli's long before the chain sub shops. I love Jersey Mike's now that I live in central Illinois.

I had it Mikes way 1 time. This was enough to know I liked it. Now, I have it Shifty's way; I went to the store and bought ALL the ingredients and I make it myself for $5.00 for a foot long. The best thing about it is that it tastes BETTER than JM's. Maybe it is just because I'm saving so much money. Tip: Bye some Rosemary seasoning to copy their Rosemary hoagie; you won't be able to tell the difference. Next, drizzle some olive oil and red wine vinegar in the middle and then, salt and pepper to taste. For the meat, you can use pretty much any meat, but I like bacon, ham and turkey. For the cheese, I use Gouda. OMG, it is magnificent! Jersey Mike, you charge to damn much. Edit: Oh yeah, don't forget the mayo and yes, it needs to be Helmans.
I do the Italian, mikes way, double meat, add mayo, banana peppers, and pepper relish. Then add the buffalo and chipotle mayo on the side with a side of jalapeno chips. Something I also do is take the Italian home put it in the microwave for just like 45 secs and it becomes a hot Italian.

Jimmy Johns giant spicy east coast italian sub with extra oil and vinegar, extra onions, extra peppers, and extra oregano seasoning. Ive literally eaten this sandwich 3 times this past week and drove 30mins one way just to get it. Im ruined of subway and all other italians it took me back to Whitehouse subs in Atlantic City, New jersey all over again except the Jersey bread cant be beat I want to live there just for the bread thats made fresh across the street at Formica bakery!
The JJ Night Club is a good sandwich. Not sure where your taste buds are. It's not boring. But try the JJ NY Spicy Italian, I think it is #7 on the menu. Add extra Hot Peppers. Miss Vickie Jalapeno Chips are very good. Several years ago, to be frugal, I stopped getting a bag at $1.50. I get an off brand of Jalapeno Chips for a family size bag at $1.89 or so.They do the spicy/salty crunch that we know and love. It was nice of you to bring your wife a sandwich while she is hard at work while you're driving around Chicago looking for a Jersey Mike's.

Millburn Deli is the best in New Jersey! The turkey sloppy joe is good. Jersey Mike's is nice. Dietz and Watson deli meats I really like more than Boars Head.
Ya know, I know everyone loves to kinda talk shit about Jimmy Johns, but they have the BEST roast beef. The hunters club is the only thing I get from there. Also the jalapeno jimmy chips are the best jalapeno chips on the market. But yeah Mike's has a better wider variety of menu items outside of roast beef

I got an original italian via grubhub sent to my work the other day and I forgot to uncheck the vinegar and oil and it was a completely sogged out mess. You can only get Mike's Way if you're eating it there or in the car in their parking lot.
