Loaders empty are heavier on the rear due to the engine, transmission, and counterweight. Roughly a 60/40 split. When the bucket is loaded, it reverses and is about an 80/20 split heavy on the front. This is why you run the front tires with a higher inflation than the rears as they never see as much weight as the fronts.

@@sivercreepre6161 I believe he meant why did they reverse onto the trailer instead of driving fowards onto it since the bucket would catch the air more how it is rather then if they drove it on it would more so roll off the bucket
Most likely to scale put properly, you're only allowed so much weight on each set of tires. Since the back of the loader is the heaviest, he likely had to have it close to the trailer axles to meet DOT requirements. Fuel efficiency is rarely a concern with loads of this type.
I usually throw a chain on top of the bucket using the eyelets before i load them... trying to get that bucket chained up once it is sitting on the gooseneck is not fun

Shoulda chained it down before lowering the bucket on the gooseneck. There's a sequence to chaining down so you work smarter not harder.
