He’s paid and trained to do that in his sleep. There’s no room for error once that load is on and he’s reversing into a site. It’s just a simple “get another driver, this one is crap”
I like the part where they back up the truck, secure the wheel loader and drive away. So, pretty much the whole video!
Its wild how big this looks in a city setting. In an open pit mine this would be a small loader, its all about perspective. Volvo make great machines though, I've always loved operating their excavators.

i appreciate that colin i have been pulling this trailer around for a few years in vegas . I learned pretty quick how to get it around in the city or i would be hung up every where lol

I run a L350. Phenomenal loader with great features. We replaced our two Cat 988s with two new L350s. Night and day difference.
nice and quiet too !
Like kamatsu, this machine will be in the bone yard in ten yrs while those 988s will still outperform and still be running..
tomas neel negative. Now komatsu is shit. I’ll agree on that. But I see plenty of older Volvo’s still rockin.
@@jacobs6865 well im rocking a wa1200 and it had like 10 midlife services and its still doing great. so i wouldnt call it shit...
2010+ volvos are bad. worse than komatsu and much worse than cats.
I’ve ran G/H series 988s with 50-60000 hours on them that are still doing 12h shifts digging in granite/loading/feeding plant….. this machine will never last that long or be as reliable. We’ve tried Komatsu, Volvo, Deere, Leibherr, Doosan….. nothing comes close to CAT for longevity or reliability. I’ve seen C series 988/980 loaders still doing full shifts. No Volvo will ever do that.
Thoughts while watching video
1. My god the driver is good and backing that thing up
2. That front loader is huge
3. When are we going to be able to get our hands on one of these front loaders in Farming Simulator
4. You don't see to many trucks with twin steering
5. Can't just press R3 to put on the straps
6. That thing is still huge

Props to this guy. I get an anxiety attack trying to back my lawnmower trailer out of the driveway. This guy pulls a double trailer with the largest machine known out of Vegas traffic.

Brand new Volvo Loaders are nice and comfortable, but for Longevity and Consistency, U can’t beat THE YELLOW IRON😎
For the 6/7 figure price tag on the l350... you'd think they'd make a custom cab set up so the door handle isn't 6 inches off the floor... Still... looking forward to our sites delivery date...

This is in Vegas where I live, I drove for Paul Delong Heavy Haul, the guy that operated the loader looked like a guy name Joe, who also drove for Paul Delong, the pilot vehicle also looks likes his sons pilot, wonder if it was him, haven’t seen him in about 14 years
that is joe he is my pilot car now his son john is no longer piloting. joe retired from delong last year.

I was loading my woodchipstruck with this 350 in Fiskarheden sawmill once, it worked fine with its 35m3 bucket :)

It’s amazing how we transport equipment here in the states all stretched out with do much spacing between axles and then you look overseas and they would have all the same amount of axles all under the load in a bunch. Or is this out bridge formula?
Bridge formula... but every state has different regulations that make it more difficult than it should be..
Uk also uses wheeler type trailers(one axle is 8 tires) like we use in the west, allowing for better weight distribution and lower length, but not all areas recognize them

Never stand in the line of danger. The guy guiding him on the trailer should have been further back, not under the bucket. You've been doing something for so long, complacency tends to set in. And that's when injuries are death occurs. Just a reminder! Great video.

Can somebody please confirm whether there is any load imposed on the last pair of axles on the lowboy trailer- it doesn't seem logical that any weight actually gets transferred onto them?

Yes. Portion of the load is transferred onto the wheels as there are also used for steering.

It doesnt matter everything in this field can kill u I'm a field service heavy equipment mechanic theres always safety Best part of video they did it on TH-cam LOL everybody got to see it probably not so much watching for the safety side,but even having the boom so I wasnt smart anything cam happen

Where are these all going, they don't break them down to get under bridges, and I know they aren't 30 feet clearance, so what gives.
That loader is minuscule compared to the largest from serious makers such as Cat and Liebherr.

Anybody see how much he rocked when he fully extended the bucket upwards i saw that and was like he's not really going to do what i think he is but yeah he moved it with the bucket at full height yes there where obstructions but he could have had the bucket lower than that

To see his tires and the spotter. I load these all the time and I don’t have a spotter or a triple axle jeep or a double axle stinger just a quad axle lowboy fountaine magnitude and I get er done everytime
