Recently purchased one of these trucks. Mine has a payload of 3100lbs. Traded my 2018 F250 with the 6.2 and 6 speed transmission. That payload was 3300lbs. The reason for the change was the ZF8 transmission, a little more towing capacity, and the off road capability. This is a work truck used on a ranch in Montana to haul hay and equipment to areas where the roads are not maintained and also to where there are no roads. So far, this truck is a beast.
Definitely got my eye on this bad boy. Seems like the perfect combination of features for an HD truck.
Scale should’ve been placed on top of the axle. Right between the tire fenders.

I'm glad Ram is at least dipping it's toes into the HD family off-road TV market. Wish they would have gone in more direct competition with the Tremor -- but at least they showed up, I guess.

Just to show you, how much weight the back seat can add. Single cab Ram 2500 with the 6.4 hemi. Payload 3400lbs.
That's not as significant as I would have thought. My Crew Cab Ram 2500 4x4 in fully loaded Laramie trim with the 6.4 Hemi has a payload capacity of 3100lbs..
I want to see this in a 2500 megacab with factory air ride! I know the payload is about 1700-1900 lbs but I want to see the factory airbags limits
2900lbs seems pretty low for a 3/4 ton truck.
My 2020 F-250 will take 3400 in the box with the FX4 and Godzilla engine.
Two things, the GVWR in the ram is probably lower than the fords and ram uses coil springs instead leaf springs, which is used more for riding comfort and not so much for hauling/towing

What's the axle load limit and the tire load rating? Put the scale under the tire and get it up to max axle limit...
Rear axle rating is around 6,000 lbs
That 3/4 ton would feel like it’s floating around with that weight in it. Spongy like
I had a Ford f150 7700 which was a beast for hauling compared to a standard f250
Since most people are oblivious to payload rating and what it actually means, this test is fantastic! I'd be curious to know how close you came to the bump stops. In my opinion, RAM derates their payload ratings big time, especially on the diesel equipped trucks.
Not condoning loading beyond rated capacity but the truck looks good at rated capacity, and above!

Is there a general rule of thought as to how to distribute the weight, behind and in front of a single axel RV for the safest weight distribution while traveling? Let’s assume all the RV tanks are empty. I have an RV that has 2,000 lbs. of payload capacity. How should I distribute the weight inside of the RV from behind and in front of the axel? Dry weight of the RV is 3,500 lbs. My truck has a payload of 1,400 lbs. and a max towing weight of 6,400 lbs. My tongue weight, totally empty, is 320 lbs. I’m trying to figure out where I should distribute the weight inside of the RV with all of our stuff.
