- The Toyota Crown arrived last year, replacing the full-size Avalon as the brand’s 4-door bridge to Lexus. They certainly didn’t go conservative with the exterior design, and now they’re adding to it with the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia. And we recently got some early drive time in Southern California.

Nice to see they found a way to carry on the Venza 🤣
But they also have the Venza, Corolla Cross, and RAV4. I don't see the appeal considering the regular Crown doesn't sell. My local dealer still has a 2023 that they can't sell even with a $5k discount.
@@Noah_E Umm what are you talking about? The Crown has been selling like hotcakes
@allentoyokawa9068 where are you? I'm in central VA and they simply don't sell here. Why else would they discount it 10% off MSRP? The last month I could find data for is March. They only sold 2,970 Crown in the entire country. 45,340 RAV4 were sold that month. More than 15 times as many. I have literally never seen a Crown 'in the wild' because nobody buys them here
If you own either generation of Venza consider yourself lucky. This Crown has no Spare Tire. We will waive to the Crown owners as we drive by because all you have is a flat tire repair kit.😂😂😂
I just want wagons and hatchbacks. This isn't a bad-looking SUV, though.
I like that it looks like a wagon. If it can tow at least 3500 pounds, I’ll have to look at it.
Well it can't. 2700
Check out the Atari 2600 ‘Moon Patrol’ game. The design of all these cross-overs is eerily similar.
I like the idea of it, but if I could purchase it with the 3.5 liter V6 like my old 2011 Avalon sign me up.
I'll keep my Outback 3.6R flat 6, although the Crown is handsome!
very nice
Great First Drive ! The statement for previous Camry wagon owners that never embraced the Venza should check out the Crown Signia is awesome! Miss that cool wagon !
I'll keep my 2012 Acura TSX SportWagon.
I predict that it won’t. It fills a gap that nobody knew was there.
I believe it’s going to sell well.
Why? The Venza and Corolla Cross are just as capable with better visibility and MPG.
You are correct
@@Noah_E this is the last year (2024) for Venza. Toyota is discontinued production.
This a great and worthy competitor to the Volvo V90 Cross Country. The crown signia is cheaper, more efficient, and can tow upto 2700 lbs. for the price, it looks like a great alternative for the V90 Cross Country.
Crown looked good, not just the '23 but the generations before.
This Signia, yeah you keep it Toyota, no thanks.
Do you know when you will be reviewing the Toyota Corolla FX?
Trying to see if it's an actual upgrade or if it's a replacement for the Nightshade edition.
Thanks!
A Corolla is a corolla, no matter the options package
No performance upgrade or manual transmission. It’s just a nightshade unfortunately
It needs to have the power max option. I was going to buy one till I saw the engine Specifications
The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia Has No Idea What It Wants To Be
Exactly like the Venza.
It’s a generic crossover.
It's a Venza.
Wow, 44k to start 👎
Broke boi
Guess you're not buying one
Have you priced a Lexus lately ?
How is that a lot considering this is not a base Corolla but the Crown. Pretty much Toyota's flagship car
It’s supposed to be more upscale. Compare it to an ES.
Too expensive.
Toyota has so many models in Australia, Africa, Europe and Asia. They
Never bring their A vehicles in the US???
The problem is, it costs the same as the Rav4 Prime, which has more cargo room, more horsepower, better mpg when it's charged, and in some states qualifies for a tax rebate because of it's plug in capabilities. If I had $50k to spend on a toyota and wasn't getting the 86, GR corolla, or supra it'd definitely be the Rav4 Prime
Price is my issue. Other than that id get one. Still might
It’s beautiful but no 3rd row seats so it’s a no go for me
I hope no one wants this so I can get a hell of a deal on it. The wagon version looks amazing.
Why do they call this a Crown? Those used to be the only Toyotas you'd have over a Lexus, perhaps except the Land Cruiser 300 series. Now it's just a twin with the TX 500h?
Prices are outrageous.. dealerships will inflation too $56,000 plus. With markups.. prices are too much!!$$ for a normal person.. have wait until 2 yrs in used market..😢
So almost 1” more ground clearance than the sedan makes is a crossover? Let’s get real. It’s a hatchback or short station wagon.
At first glance I thought it was a Chevy trailblazer!👋😂👉they are all starting to look the same!
Why automakers keep insisting on slapping beloved name plates on generic crossovers? :(
All these new CUVs/SUVs look the same. I wonder if proper vehicles will ever make a comeback? 😢
Not in America. Americans only want trucks and crossovers mostly.
It’s the Crown Sport with an odd grille.
Hmm, that looks fine and dandy. Especially for a crossover utility, but I don’t like the CVT or eCVT transmissions that came with this. But other than that it looks good
Looks like the Ferrari Purosangue.
Looks like any other crossover. Calling this a Crown is as funny as calling the Mach E a Mustang.
Well put.
So it looks like it will sell?
Especially considering that the Crown we got here is nothing more than a stretched Camry hybrid. It's not the RWD Crown that I would want.
@@Australiaisupsidedown No, it won't. Honda America has lost its way.
Precisely.
I WANT THE NEW CROWN 👑
Spend 40k and still get a CVT
Worst headlight configuration I’ve seen in years. Low and recessed with a single LED per side whereas the Crown sedan has 4 LEDs per side quite a bit higher where road gunk and snow is less likely to be a problem.

28 on par
Another not needed product. Bring back the damn Avalon
Seriously what is the purpose for this, you already have the grand Highlander ( a dumb name), the highlander, rav4, corolla cross, bz something, in the list goes on. If this is used to replace the venza the one I just called the venza and at the same time what's the purpose for it you still have Highlander.
Gosh.
Vauxhall Insignia.
Toyota should make the Crown nameplate as its own separate brand aimed straight at Acura
Toyotas hybrid/ecvt is the only cvt I can stand to drive
Toyota really is and has been making some very ugly vehicles but hopefully the quality is still good
Might be hope for Toyota styling yet…
Another bloated suv no one asked for. The crown name deserves so much better than this garbage
Glad they didnt moderate your comment like they did mine! 😂
Buy it used
OMG! Too expensive…Toyota not only was caught cheating with the most recent scandal but they’re now shafting customers too with the expensive pricing on the Signia! You get a nicer Toyota at Lexus pricing! Great strategy…NOT!!!👎
Will sell like hotcakes
Oh, look... Another SUV. 😴
Boring
Car is well priced.
Just here to offset the poor people or biden voter comments. Basically the same people.
