Still come back to this video after 10 years, it actually is what introduced me to your channel way back then. Thank you for all the years of enjoyment and sending you best wishes :)
This is the first video of yours I found a bit over 9 years ago now and I wanted to say thanks for doing what you do. Your voice has a soothing quality and you always sound genuine in every video you make. I've been coming back not just to this one but plenty of others, learning a lot and enjoying things I never would have given a thought to otherwise. Looking back at this video really reminds me how far I've come since I found your channel. When nothing else can get me to truly relax, your channel is the place I go. So thanks again for doing what you do and just being who you are. This video is my 2nd favorite, only being knocked out of first when the marble video came out.
When I was a child, we used to take the B&O-C&O train from Washington, D.C. to Chicago, Illinois, then take the Santa Fe Texas Chief from Chicago to Oklahoma City. There was no Amtrak yet. Wish we could to still do that.
RelaxingASMR You should just turn your recorder on when you are reading a book, and I just found you (at midnight) and I love your channel. Keep doing this please! :D
Those ultra thin parallel lines are blowing my mind! That's something that's always been hard for me. Seriously incredible to watch you do it so fluidly.
This video is amazing. I listen to it almost every night at bed time. I love when you give a history lesson in your videos. You should definitely do it more often!
Absolutely. I have a similar video on my to-do list. It will be transportation related, non-stop information, and with a surprise ending. I'm just waiting until I have the time to make it. Thanks for watching:)
Been under a lot of stress lately, your voice keeps me calm. Your accent is close to the ones I'm used to, but just a bit more drawn out. I reminds me of my grandpa.
I’m in bed with a bad cold and your story is the first thing to have relaxed me and taken my mind off being sick all day so thank you sir I might be able to sleep tonight now
Very nostalgic feeling makes me want to go back to the days when things were heavy iron an steel workers worked round the clock to keep supply going. Thanks for another amazing video sir.
Wonderful illustration and video. Thank you for sharing. Looks like the start of a fascinating children's coloring book. One page for coloring, another for a history lesson!
Hello 👋. I lv your drawing vids, there amazing. Another one of your drawing vids I lv is the big truck. I totally think the locomotives in the US back in the 70s was so cool and had so much character 2 them. Like the 125 we had here in the UK. Also i keep going back time and time again 2 your catalogue vids, there so interesting and extremely relaxing and omg so ASMR 😀.
Well done!! Thank you, your presentation was exactly what I was looking for. Watching the drawing come to life with an interesting historical tutorial. It was both soothing and informative. Just what I needed to relax and calm my anxiety. Thank you!!!
Well another awesome video, I almost fell asleep until I heard BARTENDER like 4 times in a row. I absolutely loved the beginning of the video with the penmanship. Also you are a very good artist, I can't believe you did that freehand, GREAT JOB AND KEEP THOSE VIDEOS FLOWING :D
your voice has a hypnotic sort of wisdom vibe to it, this is top 5 in my asmr favorite videos of all time. thanks for the great video! you should totally do an asmr video where you jump around the dictionary, reading random words and definitions. informative asmr is fantastic.
I had never heard of this train until I watched your video, then as I was heading home to SC on I-95, I glance at a billboard for a hobby shop, and lo and behold there's a giant picture of the Super Chief. I got all excited about it. You're like the James Michener of asmr video makers.
this is my favorite video you have on youtube. I love how you talk about the history of what it is your drawing. You really aught to do more drawing/history videos sir, this is a gem! :)
For some reason I busted up laughing at the very first sentence, then I proceeded to enjoy learning about the train until I fell asleep!! Fantastic video, thank you much!
Will be doing another one of these type videos in the future. The subject will be the RMS Queen Elizabeth ocean-liner, but keep it under your hat;) Thanks.
Really love these drawing vids of yours! :) I love all of your videos but I love how much attention to detail you take with the sketching..and how you do it in such a nice steady pace ^_^ I love drawing too so the combination of the information you talk about is so lovely! Thank you :D helping me relax ready for bed
hey buddy! i watched this video long ago and enjoyed the history, and guess what? i'm booking a ride on the Super (now "Southwest") Chief for the journey from Los Angeles to Chicago on my way back to Pennsylvania for Christmas! Quite excited for the 3,000 mile adventure! Thank God for sleeper cars! :)
Adrienne Haught I'm excited for you! I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it. Not as fast as flying, but riding the rails gives us opportunity to slow down and clear our minds. Enjoy your adventure.
All your videos are fantastic! For me you are on par with Maria, your voice is just soooooo damn soothing and you can tell you put a lot of care and kindness in to your videos. Thank you :)
I love trains except when they are blaring horns in the middle of the night 😂 luckily this ASMR is so relaxing I will be able to sleep through the noise tonight!
This is by far my favorite relaxation video in all of youtube. Although I do admit I had some trouble relaxing to it the first couple of times, both because I was so interested by the subject that I couldn't seem to turn my brain off and because I was still laughing over the bartenders.
Okay two things. First off, This is fantastic watching you draw and list off facts about the train is soooo relaxing. Second, That Bartender line gets me every time XD thanks for mixing in some humour along with the relaxation :)
What a. absolutely ffa bulous job you did sir, with both the fabulous fact telling. You sure know your history of the super chief! Now, for the absolutely fa ulous drawing you did! Thank very much Skr!!
As a fan of old movies, especially the black and whites, I really enjoyed the story of the train and the stars that traveled on it. I recently went to LA to attend the yearly memorial for the actor of the 40's and 50's, Tyrone Power. He lived in LA but I wonder if he ever rode that train? And your drawing is great.
I am sure you receive plenty of requests. I absolutely love when you spin your knife on the table. I have been searching for the video that you spin it in...I know it is brief, but one of my favorite triggers. Please someday could you do it for a little bit? Thank you :)
Still come back to this video after 10 years, it actually is what introduced me to your channel way back then. Thank you for all the years of enjoyment and sending you best wishes :)
Very visual pleasing to watch cursive being written with that pen
Matthew Willis Thanks. Glad you liked it and thanks for hanging out at my channel:)
RelaxingASMR have you got dog or cats
Courtney Day i believe he has both a dog and a cat.
This classic video helped to launch the asmr genre, and it set the standard for asmr as a true artform.
Thank you:)
Keep coming back to this one. Gotta be on of my favorites! And sir, you ARE an artist. Thank you for continuing your channel.

This video is my 2nd favorite, only being knocked out of first when the marble video came out.
Also, my great grandfather was nicknamed the super chief so this is a favorite video of mine and reminds me of him. I'm sure he's smiling from heaven.

Wallee Bean xD I giggled
xVenusxMyaruiiNekkoChuiix _ woah u giggled
Wallee Bean i don't think that was a deep exhale. i've thought he's always out of breath when he talks
Wait..... is your name Hannah?
Why?
i don't think he mentioned that bartenders worked on the trains
No he did, multiple times actually.
