Msv was a great fan of the song mannavan vanthanadi by kv mahadevan from the movie thiruvarur Selvan. He wanted to make that kind of a song and that's how vekkama irukkuthadi happened

എനിക്ക് തമിഴില്‍ MSV യുടെ നിനൈത്താലേ ഇനിക്കും(1979 കമലഹാസന്‍,രജനി) പാട്ടുകളും മലയാളത്തിലെ എല്ലാപാട്ടുകളും ഇഷ്ടമാണ്.MBS,AT ഉമര്‍,ശ്യാം എന്നിവരെപ്പോലെ ലാളിത്യവും എന്നാല്‍ എന്നാല്‍ അഭിമാനബോധത്താല്‍ ആ കാലത്ത് യേശുദാസിനെപ്പോലും അവഗണിച്ച മഹാനായ സംഗീതജ്ഞന്‍!
