The hardest part of the whole process is removing the tip of the sticks. Normally other drummers use hair dryer but it’s not for me. Because the hair dryer you use must be very powerful. So instead, i use boiling water. First, prepare some boiling water as i said above. You don’t need so much, just a small bowl that enough to dip the whole tip area in. It must be very hot because we’ll use the heat to remove it. Secondly, take a bowl that you’ll dip your pair in. Pour the boiling water in. Third, dip the tip of your Ahead’s pair. This process is pretty long (about 15-20 minutes) so you need to be very patient. After each 5 minutes, continue to pour the boiling water into the bowl to keep the heat always hot enough. After 2 or 3 times, now you are ready to take it off. Just do like manufacturer said but don’t forget to apply some thick paper around the tip to prevent it from scratching.
