+alucardgrindcore I actually really like him in DGD, his voice in tides wasn't the best fit for me. But everyone has their opinions and I appreciate yours. I will agree, Jonny & Kurt were a better fit for DGD.
I agree. I am a big fan of both bands especially their original line ups, and while they are good, I've never really gotten used to Tillian in DGD, but I really like all the demos he did with saosin.
Stop comparing them. Anthony Green and Tilian Pearson are both phenomenal vocalist and writers as well. Tides of man and Circa Survive are two of my favorite bands so I admire them both for the amazing bands they are maybe you should too.
Green loves Circa. He left Saosin for something else. Now he's free from adiction, with a family and speaking life into people at every gig. The guy is a legend. Both bands have up-sides. Green will never leave circa
You were right, but wrong. He didn’t need to leave Circa to rejoin Saosin. Haha it’s like most toxic relationships, he abandoned the band and then was immediately accepted back in like it never happened. Love Anthony’s version of Saosin better than Cove’s. Cove is good, but Anthony is a freaking legend to the entire scene.
So then...Because I am a troll, I feel like starting the, "Who's the best Saosin singer?" debate. Green is still tops for meh. Translating the Name will forever be one of the best EP's ever imo. What do y'all think!? :D
When and where? This was decent but NOT Saosin. This was like every other Tillian Pearson involved music; The Tillian show. Cove and Anthony were pieces of the puzzle. Both fantastic singers (Anthony was also a fantastic screamer) but they elevated the already amazing music
This is without a doubt one of the best song Saosin ever produced. I remember listening to this on MySpace when it first dropped and I knew their next album was going to hit. Glad they went with Cove though he killed it and he was amazing live (I saw them with Underoath!)
it truly hurts me that cove is no longer in the band he was amazing before he started losing his voice and i will never be able to forget his music but im happy to see they found someone new and regardless of argue.ents and comparisons about all the singers i will continue to listen and love the band....but i miss u cove
I always loved Cove and thought he was a good fit for the band, but Tilian is more reminiscent of Anthony Green and I really want to hear him sing Seven Years. If this is indeed true, I am so fucking excited for what's to come.
Wowers... =O I've never heard of this! How could this never happened? It's my first time and 2020 just got better (just a bit), (just like a .0001% better), (ok let's make it a .01% better), (my 2020).
I've heard this song so many times, there's no title connected to this song, it's not on any album, it's just a saosin demo with tilian, it's honestly a mystery about the demos and what they were supposed to become, great song all and all
It's apparently something that Chris Sorensen was working on and had Tilian put up vocals for. Midi drums as well. Wasn't meant to be a true Saosin demo, though it was written by one of the members. Check the Saosin message boards if ya'll are interested. It was confirmed by their drummer Alex Rodriguez.
Comment from Alex Rodrigues... "Hi Guys, i know this might be awkward as i never post but just thought i would lend some insight. This song was just an idea that Chris [Sorenson, Saosin bassist] wrote in his room one night that was eventually sent to Tilian to write ideas over. We’ve sent him several songs so im really amazed this leaked, but whatever… Oh and for the record it’s MIDI drums, not live. Take care guys! alex.”
They should still make this ep happen. Anthony Green wouldn’t mind probably as Saosin is his 2nd or 3rd priority after Circa Survive. Tillian would be the one to disagree though, he’s out grown this approach and has grown into his own funk/pop style
Fucking love Saosin, and the fact that they always live on. This guy seems more like Anthony and I personally can't wait for the new stuff if this guy is included.
As far as who's better they both have there major accomplishments green, and reber. TTN and saosin both had awesome tracks and they each brought two distinct sounds to an great band, I only hope that if tilian does join the band that he continues that trend and brings something new and explosive to an already great band. Rock on saosin!!!
@LoganWGum you're kinda wrong and you're kinda right. This isn't a Saosin demo, but this is a demo written and put together by Chris (saosin's bassist). He wrote the song and sent it to Tilian to try out on. Tilian didn't make this demo. He just put the vocals to accompany it.
This is a good start! And after a couple of months this could really be great. As far as I know (heard it on some page) it isn't even Alex who's tracking the drums (drum machine) so I look forward to the real sound of Saosin with a new singer :)
@mcrfansweb The start kinda sounds like old ASD, but then it shift's more into Tilian style, also this is a demo haha, who knows what they'll do when they start fleshing the song out and perfecting it.
Saosin would do well with Tilian. From what I've heard from his songs (especially the song "Statues" from when he was still with ToM), his musicality is better that Saosin's previous vocalist (I'm speaking from a musician's standpoint). IMO it's frickin' rad to be able to revert back to Saosin's original sound (Green era) and not have to wait 3 years for the next album.
tillian said he would love to join saosin and also saying all he did was he did a demo with saosin. he's isn't in the band but he got to make a demo with them.only that. check out wiki.
I long for the day when people stop treating Saosin or any other musical group like their members are what define them. It's about the music. Stop treating Saosin like it's dictatorship and Anthony Green is the Fuhrer. He was great, he still is, same with Cove, and I hope if this Tilian Pearson actually joins, he is just as great.
Can't believe saosin didn't hire him immediately :/ he's so good...but If it were up to me... Cove is the right fit, he may not have the best range but his voice got me through tough times and I got addicted to it. Not to mention there sound was so unique with him, this is pretty generic but still good.
@lukejenn saosin confirmed that it is. they posted on facebook "A few of you might have heard the leaked demo. Well, we're working on a few more songs that i think are leak worthy too. Hope you guys like what you hear!" its actually a lot better than i expected it to be. i was pretty disappointed when i found out that Cove left. it was bad enough when Anthony left, and i was surprised at how well Cove did, and after that i didn't think anyone else could be just as good as both of them. hhaha.
In all honestly.I didnt want anyone whiny to take place as front man in saosin.I would never listen to them if that happened. But Tilian seems to fit the part, in my opinion.I just hope that the new vocalist won't leave.
cove was great. WAS. his voice is shot now. if he could still sing like he did in 2006 he'd probably still be the singer of saosin. i think this is still very unique and true to saosin style, not generic at all to me.
@REX05011 probably cuz they had a more legitimate record label that helped them sound more mainstream and well-refined than Green, but Cove was awesome too. The band keeps getting better
I will call this more of a test versus a demo. I'm assuming Saosin wanted to hear what Tilian would sound like with something similar to their sound so they probably just whipped up some really basic midi stuff for Tilian to sing on. This wasn't supposed to be leaked because it's part of the early process of getting into the band. In my opinion, I like this test/demo or whatever you want to call it and I'm looking forward to hearing more because make no mistake about it; Tilian is talented.
Bands like this always say "Hey, we're going back to our old roots!" - *everyone pisses themself* - and they simply encompass an old style from their recycle bin. In this case, it's Tilian's high singing which echoes that of Anthony Green.
This sounds like A Skylit Drive to me. I'm not going to judge any further off a demo, though Saosin with Cove was at its best. Maybe just maybe this group can change my mind. After all Cove gave us the self-titled.
@stockholme if this is Saosin's new style then yeah he fits. and Tilian is talented enough to make stuff fit with him. it'll be good change, i am sure.
LYRICS? You said it, you promised me I couldnt see. You said it, lying to my face. Now that I see you for who you really are. Now that I see you it dosnt change a thing. @kevinmccrickard It did fit the sound Saosin did have at the time, allthough I do understand them letting him go due to being unable to perform as good live. I still thinks it sounds good on record though and I especially enjoy the self titled album.
@AmieWhoLou Finally someone I can agree! Thanks. I'm loving Circa and Saosin (with Cove), too. Tillian left Tides and I've just discovered them. I'm sad, they were so Circa... This sounds so fucking good. I can't decide whether Saosin or DGD was better for Tillian.. I want to say Saosin tho, bc this is pure fucking gold.
+alucardgrindcore I actually really like him in DGD, his voice in tides wasn't the best fit for me. But everyone has their opinions and I appreciate yours. I will agree, Jonny & Kurt were a better fit for DGD.
+Travis Tourere I agree with you mate. Having an actual album with Tillian's voice in Saosin would have been the Masterpiece of all masterpieces..
Methefuhrer he made a few songs with emarosa that sound really good like supercow
None of them , I'd say TIDES OF MAN. But I like the demo with saosin tho

Without any nostalgic bias, Cove was the best vocalist for Saosin.
I can't argue
Green is best hands down, they’re recent album with him slaps, not a single bad song what so ever.
Green Da best
cove was more melodic, but anthony got that scream, and is an amazing lyricist
i have been waiting for this for over a year
powerful lyrics at the end there
I'm just happy we're going to be hearing some Saosin soon.
...Yeah. I can definitely see this fitting with Dance Gavin Dance. Wasn't sure at first; but now, I have hope.
This is the best Saosin ever was. Fight me. The shoegaze vibe and sorrowful melody is heartbreaking and beautiful.
